Hello everybody!
Now it's time for you to do the task for this week, so I invite you to check the instructions below. Remember that if
you need to review a topic, you can always check the course material as often as needed. Keep in mind that you
have to present this task during week 1.
1. Learning outcome:
Through this activity, students talk about their last vacation and their plans for the new semester at the university
using the grammar and vocabulary learned in English III.
2. Description:
Step 1: Individual task.
Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
Step 3: Prepare a 1- minute monologue.
Situation: Create a monologue
in which you describe your last vacation and your plans for the new semester at the university.
Check this list and the vocabulary reviewed during the week:
First: Make a list of activities you did during your last vacation.
Examples: I traveled to Mancora. // I went to the movies with friends.
Then: Make a list of plans about activities you are going to do in this new semester at the university.
Examples: I’m going to study harder. // I’m going to have three online courses.
Using the information from your lists, record a video about your last vacation and your plans for
the new semester at the university.
You can start like this:

On my last vacation I went to…..
I went with….
I visited……..
We ate……..

Vacation activities
Adjectives to describe feelings and things
Past simple with regular and irregular verbs
Future with “be going to” for plans and intentions
Linking words: and, but & because.

Attend the workshops to reinforce and practice the topics of the week so t
hat you are able to do the task. You can register at Portal del
Estudiante or UTP+: Refuerzo Académico.
Step 4:
Practice the monologue at a slow pace paying attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
Remember to transmit your personal emotions during the recording.
Step 5: Once you are ready, record yourself using multimedia and upload it to the virtual platform or upload
your video on Youtube /Drive and share the link in a Word format on the virtual platform.
Step 6: Use the following structure:
Cover: Your name and last name must be there. Include your photo. There are 2 options to do it: (Choose
one)
Option 1: Inside your video, if you record it in the virtual platform.
Option 2: In a Word format with the YouTube link/Drive link.
