DIVISIBITY BY 2
A number is divisible by 2 if its last digit is even (0, 2, 4, 6, or 8).

124 is divisible by 2 because its last digit is 4.

DIVISIBITY BY 4
A number is divisible by 4 if the number formed by its last two
digits is divisible by 4.

1324 is divisible by 4 because 24 is divisible by 4.

DIVISIBITY BY 8
A number is divisible by 8 if the number formed by its last three digits is
divisible by 8.

1232 is divisible by 8 because 232 is divisible by 8.

DIVISIBITY BY 5
A number is divisible by 5 if its last digit is 0 or 5.

125 is divisible by 5 because its last digit is 5.

DIVISIBITY BY 10
A number is divisible by 10 if its last digit is 0.

120 is divisible by 10 because its last digit is 0.

DIVISIBITY BY 3
A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3.

123 is divisible by 3 because 1+2+3=61+2+3=6, and 6 is divisible by 3

DIVISIBITY BY 6
A number is divisible by 6 if it is divisible by both 2 and 3.

126 is divisible by 6 because it is divisible by 2 and 3

DIVISIBITY BY 9
A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 9.

126 is divisible by 9 because 1+2+6=91+2+6=9, and 9 is divisible by 9.

DIVISIBITY BY 11
Subtract the sum of the digits in odd positions
from the sum of the digits in even positions.

If the result is divisible by 11, the number is

divisible by 11.

Example: 121 is divisible by 11

because (1+1)−2=0(1+1)−2=0, and 0 is
divisible by 11.
Standard Subtraction Rule: DIVISIBITY BY 7
Double the last digit of the number.
Subtract this result from the rest of the
number (excluding the last digit).
Check if the resulting number is divisible by 7.

Example:
Check if 161 is divisible by 7:
Double the last digit: 1×2=21×2=2.
Subtract: 16−2=1416−2=14.

Since 14 is divisible by 7, 161 is divisible by 7.

Group Digits:
Starting from the right, group the digits of the DIVISIBITY BY 7
number into sets of three.

Let's test if 1,369,851 is divisible by 7:

Group Digits: 1 | 369 | 851

Alternate Sum:
Odd positions: 1 + 851 = 852
Even positions: 369
Difference: 852 - 369 = 483
Check Divisibility:
483 is divisible by 7 (483 = 7 x 69).
Therefore, 1,369,851 is also divisible by 7.
Standard Addition Rule:

Multiply the last digit by 4. DIVISIBITY BY 13

Add this result to the rest of the
number (excluding the last digit).
Check if the resulting number is divisible by 13.

Example:
Check if 169 is divisible by 13:
Multiply the last digit: 9×4=369×4=36.
Add to the rest of the
number: 16+36=5216+36=52.
Check if 52 is divisible by 13:
52÷13=452÷13=4.

So, 169 is divisible by 13.

DIVISIBITY BY 13
Grouping of Digits:
Starting from the right, group the digits of the
number into sets of three.

Let's test if 2,453,674 is divisible by 13:

Group Digits: 2 | 453 | 674

Alternate Sum:
Odd positions: 2 + 674 = 676
Even positions: 453
Difference: 676 - 453 = 223

Check Divisibility: 223 is not divisible by 13.

Therefore, 2,453,674 is also not divisible by 13.

DIVISIBITY BY 111
A number is divisible by 111
if it is divisible by both 3 and
37 (since 111=3×37).

Example: 222 is divisible by

111 because it is divisible by
3 and 37.
DIVISIBITY BY 1001
The factors of 1001 are:

1
7
11
13
77
91
143
1001
DIVISIBITY BY 1111
A number is divisible by 1111 if
it is divisible by 101 and 11
