USING GOOGLE
CLASSROOM
PROCEDURES FOR SUBJECT TEACHERS
RATIONALE

There is a need to devise an efficient way of giving feedback to our


students. This procedure will improve our existing practices in providing
feedback to students' work, allowing us to create a more centralized
and efficient system.
CREATING AND ASSIGNING
AN ASYNCHRONOUS
ACTIVITY
(TEACHER’S VIEW)
1. Go to your Google Classroom.

2. Go to classwork and create an activity using assignment or quiz


assignment feature.
3. Input the following in your assigned activity.

• title of the activity

• comprehensive
instructions

• attachments

• set the total points

• set the due date

• assign the topic

FA – Formative Assessment FA #1: Addition of Whole
WW – Written Work Numbers
WW #1: Addition of Whole
PTS – Performance Task
Numbers
Scaffold

LM – Learning Material LM #1: 1-digit Addition
4. Assign the activity to your students.
SUBMISSION OF OUTPUT

Student’s Classwork
When Students view their work, this is what they see:
Summary of Activities: Assigned
Summary of Activities: RETURNED
Summary of Activities: MISSING
MARK AS DONE
For activities that need no attachment, you can ask the students to mark it as done.
TURN IN
For activities that need the attachment, you can ask the students to select add/create then
look for the attachment.
UNSUBMITTING WORK
The students can "unsubmit" their work if it needs revision or has a wrong attachment, then
resubmit it afterward.
RESUBMITTING WORK
PRIVATE COMMENT
You can write remarks on the student's output by writing a private comment.
NO DUE WORK
The students will see this message in their Google classroom if he has submitted all the day's activities.
CHECKING AND
RETURNING OF OUTPUTS
(TEACHER’S VIEW)
1. Go to your assigned activity.
2. Select View assignment.
3. You will see the summary and status of the outputs of your students - Turned In,
Assigned, Graded.
4. Select the output of the student that you need to check.
5. You can check by adding a comment.
*If you have a Google classroom application and an iPad, you can annotate the submitted output.
6. Input the score of the student.
7. Select the RETURN button.
Features of the drop down menu.
You can individually return the output of the students by selecting "Return this submission."
You can return all the students' outputs at the same time by selecting "Return multiple
submissions."
