Digital Awareness Week | Awareness Drama Script

SCENE 6: Reset & Secure

SCENE 1: Log In, Log Out

(Setting: A busy street. People walk hurriedly, on phones. Lights flicker like notifications.)

Narrator: We live online. Where our laughter, arguments, even love, leave digital footprints. The screen

glows-but so do the risks. You don't see the predators. Because they don't knock. They ping. They notify.

They pop-up... and they steal.

Rahul (excited): Yes! Another level cleared! These cheat codes are magic! Just downloaded a game booster.

It asked for my email and password-done and done!

Riya (concerned): Rahul, you gave your credentials to a third-party app? Are you serious?

Rahul (shrugs): Relax, it's just a game. What can possibly go wrong?

(Cyber Criminal enters quietly, tapping an invisible laptop. Rahul's phone buzzes.)

Rahul: What... what is this?! My Insta is posting weird links! My emails are being sent to random people!

Cyber Criminal (mocking): Thanks for the access, Rahul. You play games... I play your data.

Narrator: Every careless click is an open door. Behind that door is someone who doesn't play by the rules.

SCENE 2: When Trust Turns Trap

(Lights shift. Maya stands center-stage, shaken.)

Narrator: Sometimes, the danger isn't in an app or game... It wears a friendly face. It begins with trust... and

ends in trauma.

Maya: I met him online. He was kind. We chatted for weeks. Then... I trusted him. Sent a photo. Then more.

Now he's threatening me.

Cyber Criminal: Send more... or everyone in your school gets to see.

Maya: I don't know what to do. I'm scared.

Riya: Maya, you're not alone. You're a victim. And victims deserve justice, not silence.

Inspector Rana: What you're facing is sextortion. Punishable under law. Report it, and we'll ensure it ends

here.

Narrator: Never suffer in silence. A mistake in trust should not become a lifetime of shame.

SCENE 3: A Scam in Disguise

(Mr. Sharma is seen withdrawing money from an ATM. Phone rings.)

Cyber Criminal: Sir, I'm calling from your bank. Urgent issue with your account. We need your OTP now-or

your account gets locked.

Mr. Sharma: Oh! Alright, just a second... (types the code into phone)

Mr. Sharma: My pension... it's vanished!

Cyber Criminal: That's the cost of blind trust.

Inspector Rana: Banks never ask for OTPs. Ever. If they do... hang up.

Narrator: In a world full of alerts, listen with awareness. If urgency feels forced, it's probably fake.

SCENE 4: Job or Trap?

(Neha enters, holding a fake job offer letter.)

Neha: "Congratulations! Selected for remote job. Just pay Rs.2,000 registration, and get started." It felt real.

The website looked perfect. I paid... then silence.

Cyber Criminal: People don't read between the lines-they read dreams.

Narrator: Too good to be true? Then it's not true at all. Scammers don't offer opportunities. They exploit

desperation.

Volunteer 2: Tip: Always research company details. Cross-check emails. Avoid sharing personal information

over unknown links.

SCENE 5: Voice of the Internet

(Lights fade. A dim spotlight reveals a cloaked figure.)

Voice of the Internet:

I am the cloud, the unseen wire,

I store your secrets, your desires.

I mirror you, I never sleep,

What you give me, I always keep.

You scroll, I remember.

You click, I collect.

Every laugh, every sigh,

Saved in a digital sky.

Choose me wisely, or pay the fee,

For there is no "delete" for me.

Narrator: You're never truly offline. You're only less watched.

SCENE 6: Reset & Secure

(Full cast enters, forming a semi-circle. Each person holds a prop.)

Riya: It's not just about avoiding risk. It's about building habits that protect us.

Inspector Rana: Report. Resist. Rise.

Volunteer 1: "NEVER share OTPs, PINs, or passwords."

Volunteer 2: Fact: Every 1 in 3 teenagers is targeted by online scams.

Narrator: Today's post, that selfie, that message... May vanish from your screen-But not from the servers.

CTRL your curiosity,

ALT your impulsiveness,

SECURE your identity.

Because in this digital world-Safety isn't an option. It's your only login to the future.
