Bill T. Jones Biography
Megan Chacalos
3/18/2017
Bill T. Jones
Our politicians toss around the term the American Dream loosely these days, but Bill T. Jones has
lived that dream. Sometimes the dream has seemed more like a nightmare, but the larger arc of his
life looks triumphant, a genuine fulfillment of American striving and ambition, very much in the
real, waking world. Bill T. Jones, byname of William Tass Jones, born February 15, 1952, Steuben
county, New York, U.S., American choreographer and dancer who, with Arnie Zane, created the Bill
T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company.
Jones rose from being the 10th of 12 children of migrant farm workers to one of the most notable,
recognized modern dance choreographers and directors of our time. Through HIV and AIDS, which

Jones/Arnie Zane Company, later called the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company. (The
company s name remained the same even after Zane s death from AIDS in 1988.) The book Body
Against Body: The Dance and Other Collaborations of Bill T. Jones and Arnie Zane (1989), which
the two men cowrote, examines their work together. In the wake of Zane s death and the death of
another member of the company, Jones (who was also diagnosed as HIV positive) created some
of his most powerful works, including Last Supper at Uncle Tom s Cabin/The Promised Land
(1990) and Still/Here (1994). Jones has described Last Supper as grounded in his embodied
experience of race: I would make a work that articulated all the questions that I have lived with. I
would speak in a voice that was decidedly African American. His vision of the work as founded in
an exploration of black history was developed and enacted by a multiracial company that included
several guest artists, suggesting that the notion of black history is one that is necessarily bound up
with other histories and can be located in unlikely archives. The company included Arthur Aviles,
Leonard Cruz, Seán Curran, Lawrence Goldhuber, Gregg Hubbard, Heidi Latsky, Betsy
McCracken, Maya Saffrin, Andrea Woods, and Jones himself. In 2011 the company merged with
Dance Theater Workshop to form New York Live Arts, for which Jones served as executive artistic

Chainsaw maintenance: The handiest guides for garden works

It is a powerful machine, used for pruning, cutting or cutting firewood, deforestation, even for
impeccable let your orchard or garden. But not only it serves to make these works; you can also
cut large blocks or chunks of ice. There need some skill in the use of chainsaws, the maintenance
some of its body parts: The CHAINSAW BAR CHAINSAW CHAIN.

The bar and chain of a chainsaw needs a constant flow of lubrication during operation. If the bar and
chain are not lubricated the tip and the bar begins to heat up. As it warms up even more, it can
damage the bar, pinion, chain and even the clutch.

Examine the bar for more than one usage type indicator. This indicates the types of jobs for which
the chainsaw is designed. For example, a manufacturer makes three types of bars: casual,
professional and commercial.

4.Look for an identification number stamped on the bar. Cross reference to any number that is
sealed with the list of bars or chainsaws on the manufacturer s website.

How to replace a Chainsaw Bar

Heavy wear on a chainsaw will eventually require replacement of the bar, but this costly repair
can be pushed further along the way with a regular maintenance program and replacement of the
nose pinion on the bar. Replacing the tip costs a fraction of the price of a new bar and, along with
proper care of the main body of the bar, the life of the chainsaw extends several more cutting seasons.

Instructions

1.First remove the bar and chain from the chainsaw. Take out the motor head and chain aside. Put the
bar on a flat metal surface.

2.Using the steel punch and a hammer pounds off the rivet by holding the pinion tip on the bar. Take
out the old pinion tip.

3.Before places the new nose gear of the bar try to clean any residual splinters from the tip of the
bar. Then place the new lower rivet down into the hole at the bottom of the
Discuss how retail companies have adapted their business...
Retail is the sale of goods and services from individuals or business to the end user(Harper 2008).
Getting the right goods to the right markets in response to or anticipation of consumer demand is the
key function of marketing. Unlike selling which is primarily concerned with the needs of the seller,
marketing is primarily concerned with the needs of the buyer. In the last thirty years British retailing
has undergone major changes in both its commercial and economic organisation and in its
geographical character. However, with the intensification of the process of globalization there still
have many challenge to the retail companies to solve. In this essay I will argue that, the retail
companies adapted their strategy to address the needs... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tesco, as a major food manufacturer, in a very competitive market sector, it is the UK s largest
grocer and the most successful Internet supermarket. The recent history of Tesco is the story of a
retailer s successful evolution: its diversification into new businesses and in particular its leap
frogging of long standing market leader Sainsbury s to become the number one UK retailer. As self
service high street supermarkets were superseded by superstores and megastores, consumers became
anonymous in exchange for improved choice and value. With the global business strategy,
competitive advantage usually comes from common global brands and from concentrated production
activity that has been sited to deliver significant economies of scale and resource souring. There
may be some adjustment of the product or service for local needs but essentially it is the same
around the world. The term globalisation is used to cover three main area, which is globalisation of
economies, trade activities and regulatory regimes; globalisation of industries; morality of
globalisation. Under this generation, Tesco launched some project to meet different needs from
different customers. Such as launched Clubcard to win customer loyalty.

Shea is an 8 year old female here today with complaints of scabbing on her nose.

Dad reports that she first had what looked like a pimple about seven or 10 days ago on her nose.
Since then, without really fussing with it, she has developed these scabbed areas that they thought
she should have looked at. They do not seem to be getting better. Dad has noticed since he first
started, that they perhaps seem a little bit redder. Mom has been putting some Neosporin on it, but
it does seem to be making much of a difference. She has had just a very mild cold symptoms in the
last couple of weeks, but nothing major. She has not been coughing. She does not seem particularly
stuffy. She is not sneezing, per dad. She does have a history of asthma and there has been no
increased asthma symptoms. She does get nosebleeds intermittently per dad and she has had a
couple in the last week. He is not sure if that is related or not. He says that he is able to stop them
very quickly and they have not noticed any other major issues. She had no other skin issues that
they have seen. These nose symptoms that she is having are not painful. They do not seem to be
itchy and they really do not bother her and without looking in the mirror, she says she would not
have realized that they are there. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Klinefelter Syndrome Advantages And Disadvantages
CHROMOSOMAL ABNORMALITIES
A)NUMERICAL CHROMOSOME ABNORMALITIES
1)Klinefelter Syndrome
This syndrome was first described by Harry Klinefelter in 1942 as a clinical condition with small
testes, azoospermia, gynecomastia and an elevated serum FSH. (56) Only in 1959 was the
chromosomal basis of the disorder described. Subsequently the diagnosis of Klinefelter syndrome
has required the demonstration of the 47,XXY karyotype or one of its rarer variants. (57)
The prevalence of Klinefelter syndrome appears to be approximately 1 in 660 males, and recent
data suggest a rising incidence over the last decades. (58) It is the most frequent form of primary
testicular dysfunction affecting spermatogenesis as well as hormone production and is found in ...

(66) The rate of diploidy of sperm as well as disomy for gonosomes and autosomes seems to be
increased in patients with Klinefelter syndrome, however, the majority of sperm appear to be
normal. (67) Preliminary data suggest that in about 20 50 percent of patients with Klinefelter
syndrome it may be possible to retrieve sperm by TESE. (68) Several pregnancies have been
achieved with testicular sperm used for ICSI. The embryos show normal or aneuploid karyotypes
which can be identified by preimplantation or prenatal diagnosis. Interestingly, the birth of normal
children conceived by assisted reproductive techniques seems to be rule, suggesting that the few
sperm which can be found in about 50% of patients with Klinefelter syndrome possibly derive from
the clonal expansion of spermatogonia with unremarkable karyotype problems.
Birgenair Flight ALW-301
Pilots and non pilots. We will explore three different aviation accidents that could have been
prevented if the aircraft was maintained properly. And why pilots should make sure to do a thorough
walk around of their aircraft. This is not to say that faulty maintenance was the cause of each of
these accidents. There was pilot error reported in these accident investigations.

First, lets discuss the Birgenair flight ALW 301. Birgenair Flight ALW 301, was a flight from
Gregario Luperon International Airport, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic headed to Frankfurt,
Germany. ALW 301 crashed on February 6, 1996. The aircraft that was originally placed into
service for this flight went down for a mechanical failure. Thus, having the crew to switch
The Suffocating Good-Old Days Revealed in Girl Essay
The Suffocating Good Old Days Revealed in Girl

Jamaica Kincaid s story Girl allows readers a glimpse into the strict, demanding manner in which
parents reared their children almost twenty years ago. Through Kincaid s careful structuring of Girl,
readers capture the commanding tone of the story. The relationship between the mother and the girl
also reeks of empowerment and distance, as best seen through the girl s short lived speech in the
story. Most important, Girl shows readers how particular the lessons taught to the children two
decades ago were.

The mother in Girl expects a great deal of her daughter, and she does not hesitate to let the girl know
it. The fact that the two page story is entirely one sentence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The girl s comment is truly evidence of the mother s expectation that her daughter be quiet and listen
to the lecture, regardless of whether the girl knows the lessons already. Because the conversation
between the mother and daughter is one sided, it can be concluded that the entire relationship
between the two is the same.

Undoubtedly, Kincaid s most startling insight in Girl is the tremendous amount of detailed
information the girl is being told. From proper table setting to correct cooking methods to
womanly walking, the girl s lessons are many and extremely precise. As critic Wendy Dutton
proclaims, The reader gets the impression that the story is about a girl who is in training (1173).
Many of the phrases the mother spits out at the girl seem silly and unnecessary. The mother, for
example, tells the girl this is how you sweep a corner; this is how you sweep a whole house; this is
how you sweep a yard (1190). The exactness with which the mother preaches lessons to her daughter
gives the impression that children grew up under the direction of a drill sergeant.

Clearly, Jamaica Kincaid s story Girl represents a piece of history steeped in formalities and
strictness. Yet, Kincaid s tale of a mother daughter everyday conversation suggests two things.
Firstly, it would seem that
What Was Jackie s First Confession
1.Why was Jackie scared to death of his first confession? What events fueled his fear? What
specifically is Jackie afraid of, if he makes his first confession?

Jackie was afraid that his confession would go badly due to the way he feels about his
grandmother and his sister. Ms. Ryan started talking about hell, and all the punishments for being a
sinner. Jackie believes he has sinned and his soul is damned. Nora scares Jackie even more
reminding him of bad things he has done before he is supposed to go to confession. After his sister
Nora, finishes her confession she comes out looking like a saint .

The priest was understanding towards Jackie s feelings towards his family and even told him he
felt that was about some people also, but would never act on it. I think the priest knows that
Jackie feels strongly on his dislike for his sister and grandmother, but knows Jackie is a good boy
that would not actually intend to kill his grandmother or sister. When Nora finds out that he was
forgiven his sins and given Three Hail Mary s. At first, she did not believe that Jackie could have
confessed all of his sins and receive bullseyes candy from the priest.
