Marine Air-Ground Task Force
The United States Marine Corps has an illustrious history forged in the trials of combat.
Throughout its history, irregular warfare has and will continue to pose challenges for Marines
facing new and radical enemy forces. The rapid, opportunistic, and flexible capabilities of
maneuver warfare enables Marines to combat ambiguous enemies whose warfighting capability
and doctrine is based on irregular warfare principles. Marine Corps units are organized and
equipped to facilitate rapid deployment and to maximize the potential of each asset available to the
Marine Air Ground Task Force Commanders. As we wage war against our nation s foes, the
elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force are prepared to provide mutually supporting roles for

During this type of warfare, the enemy may have already infiltrated, destroyed, or damaged a foreign
nation s government, essential services or infrastructure vital to the indigenous populace for survival
and governance. Aviation elements accomplish the transport and swift insertion of personnel,
supplies, and materials to assist our forces and to help maintain or rebuild infrastructure. These
activities achieve the overarching effects of building trust and confidence within the local populace
to foster support for our efforts. Additionally, air assets bring tremendous combat power to the
irregular warfare fight. An assortment of ordnance i.e.; precision guided munitions, rapid insertion
and extraction methods, and troop and equipment transport enable our forces to quickly strike,
maneuver and gain the advantage in an irregular warfare engagement. The Aviation Combat
Element also allows both the Ground and Logistic Combat elements to rapidly deploy anywhere in
the world. More specifically the Marine Expeditionary Unit provides a mobile sea based warfighting
unit capable of deploying on short notice. The Aviation Combat Element has the ability to move
those combat forces from ship to shore with an over horizon capability. The ability to quickly move
forces around the battlespace provides opportunities for United States forces to influence the
population by conducting meetings with local leaders and proving our commitment to the people of
the affected country. This capability not only enhances but solidifies the Marine Corps ability to
utilize maneuver warfare principles while engaging in an irregular
Behavior Modification Plan For Ourselves
When I first learned that we were doing a behavior modification plan for ourselves I did not know
what to think. After having it explained to me I knew that it had to be something related to my
stress and anxiety levels. My entire life it has been something that has hindered me from getting
outside of my comfort zone to better myself. So I started from there and had to figure out a way
to measure my stresses in numbers. I wasn t sure how I was supposed to mathematically lay out
what gives me stress. Our awesome teacher then asked me what it was that I did to relieve stress. I
told her that I like guns and going to the shooting range. From there I was off and running. My goal
was to go to the shooting range to help manage my stress levels. My first sub goal was to schedule
times twice a week to go to the range. I decided that I would go on Tuesdays and Fridays after
work. I researched local shooting ranges in my area and determined that Fletcher Arms in
Waukesha was the best bet for me based on price and location. Another sub goal that I gave
myself was to find all my information by September 10, 2015 which I was able to accomplish.
That was easy to accomplish but not all of my planning paid off for me at first. There were a
couple of issues that I ran into during the semester that were not significant; but they were things
that I needed to figure out in order to be successful. When road blocks get in the way it is sometimes
difficult to want to continue. I
Body Reflection In Pinnipeds
Introduction:
Pinnipeds had developed ways to remain submerged in the water. These mammals have found a way
to deal with hypoxia, the lack of oxygen. When the Pinnipeds dive they are able to induce
bradycardia, reducing heart rate. They have vasoconstriction, with constricted the blood flow. These
things are done to conserve oxygen when they dive. Even though they are able to store oxygen rich
red blood cells in the spleen for the dive, they need to conserve it over the the time of the dive.
These things are what constitute the dive reflex in the pinnipeds.
Most human can only hold their breath for less than a minute. This lab will look at a simulated dive
influences heart rate and explore what stimulus cue a dive reflex in humans. To see how the heart
rate is effected in a dive, this lab we will hold our breath and submerge our face in water. Since we
know that the Pinnipeds induce bradycardia when they dive, we would expect to see that part of the
human dive reflex since it is part of conserving oxygen in the body, when the right stimuli is applied.
From this we thought that holding breath would trigger the diver response, even if there is no ...

The control is the simulated dive where the subject held their breath and submerged there face in
water. The experimental is when breath was held but the subject did not submerge their face in
water. The average magnitude of the dive reflex(BMP) was taken for each experiment. The BMP is
the difference between the average resting pulse and average dive pulse. When the BPM was great,
this showed that the dive reflex was stimulated. When the BMP was low, then the dive reflex was
not stimulated. (Figure 1) The experimental hardly caused a change in the BPM, which means that it
did not trigger a dive response. This means that the stimuli of holding breath does not cause the dive
response in

Lala Lajpat Rai
Thesis: Lala Lajpat Rai was an all around freedom fighter for India. He wanted them to be free
from British rule. He protested openly and was arrested several times, and eventually killed during
a protest. He fought bravely and faithfully for what he believed in, he fought for what he thought
was wrong and the ways to make it right. India for a long time had grown tired of British rule, and
they wanted to run their own country. They fought hard and protested with little to no success, until
one man came onto the scene, his name was Lala Lajpat Rai. His goal was to reform Indian Policy
through political tactics and through his writings. Lala focused on peaceful movements to create ...

Punjab was adversely affected by the commission because the Arya Samaj was extremely active in
the field of education. After the commission, it became impossible for the people to have any say
in their children s education. Lala declared that The Government, by these new regulations, has
made it almost impossible for the Private Education Societies to start schools or improve them.
People are compelled to conclude that the Government does not want to spend money for
educational work, nor can they endure that Indians should voluntarily undertake this work by
spending money, unless the Indians hand over their money and efforts to the Government. It would
have been impossible for institutions like the Metropolitan College, Calcutta College, Fergusson
College, Poona and D.A.V. College to come into existence under the present policies. Lala dove
headlong in the struggle against division of Bengal. Along with Surendra Nath Banerjea, Bipin
Chandra Pal and Arvinda Ghosh, he aroused Bengal and the nation in a vigorous campaign of
swadeshi. The British Government claimed that partition would make administering the region
easier. The leaders saw through this excuse as the age old British policy of divide and rule at work.
Lala was arrested on May 3, 1907 for creating turmoil in Rawalpindi. Lala went there when he
learned that five prominent Indian lawyers had been served notices by the Deputy Commissioner. The

Mythology
i.Hesiod was an ancient Greek Poet who is often compared to the poet Homer. It was believed
that Hesiod was a farmer in Boeotia (centre of Greece). He was alive in 700 BC and it is believed
that he composed the Theogony in that time. Theogony is often described as the report done on the
origins of the gods. The Theogony is one of the major records on Greek mythology. His Theogony is
composed of accounts on the origins of the gods as well as the origins of the world. ii. According
to Hesiod, the Greek goddess Aphrodite s name came about because she was born from the genitals

Can Mobile Health Improve Nurses Clinical Workflow Process for Patient Admissions?

Introduction Mobile Health is defined at the mHealth Summit as any health related service that is
given using a hand held device or mobile type of communication (Torgan, 2009).
Mobile health (mHealth) technology made an appearance in the early 2000 s with the personal
digital assistant (PDA), most notably the Blackberry (Ventola, 2014). Since then, the trend has grown
remarkably. Experts predict that by 2015, over 500 million people will be accessing health related
applications from their smartphones (Mobile Medical, 2014; Malone, 2013). There are many types
of mobile health products and serve a variety of purposes. Applications can be used for diagnosing
illness, digital imaging, monitoring remotely for chronic disease (diabetes, heart disease), ECG
viewers, telehealth, managing prescriptions, appointments, reference materials (drug and ICD
coding information), diet, exercise, remote communication, dictation, surgical scheduling, voice,
text, web browsing, camera and sound, and global positioning (Chouffani, 2011; Ventola, 2014).

Essay On Nicaraguan Investment Conditionally Act
Nicaraguan Investment Conditionally Act (NICA Act)
Underdeveloped countries are susceptible to fall under dictatorships that are often difficult to
overthrow due to their sizable power. Nicaragua was in the hands of the Somoza Family, a
dictatorship and influential political dynasty who ruled the country from 1936 to 1979. Anastasio
Somoza was the last family member to be President after being overthrown by the political party
FSLN. He left Nicaragua and yielded the power to the Junta of National Reconstruction; whose
coordinator was Daniel Ortega. Daniel Ortega was elected President in 1984, after spending six
years in the presidency he was denied for reelection in 1990. As a result, Ortega s political influence
started to diminish. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Recent reports about the situation in Nicaragua have caused the United States to get involved and
implement new sanctions to make Nicaragua a transparent and corruption free country again. The
NICA Act is a way to ensure that no loan is given to the Nicaraguan government s benefit unless it is
for basic human needs or to promote democracy until the Department of State is certain that
Nicaragua is following certain conditions. These conditions include holding transparent elections,
promoting democracy, combat corruption, investigating and prosecuting government officials
alleged to be corrupt and allow freedom of expression without government intervention (H.R.1918
115th Congress 2017 2018).
There are many who doubt the effectiveness of this bill or whether it is the right thing to do since
foreign intervention is a daunting concept to a small population like Nicaragua. The NICA Act
would create economic instability and mean the reversal of the Nicaraguan government s highly
successful poverty reduction programme; those who are most impoverished will suffer the most
serious consequences. (NSCAG News, 2017). A strong argument against the NICA Act is that it
would have negative repercussions for the population given that the loans given to Nicaragua by the
United States government are used to fund educational and

The Similarities Between Mars And Mars
Mars, the red planet, and fourth planet from the sun. What is Mars really like, is it cold or hot,
wet or dry? Can humans live on Mars, and if so how? For decades scientists have been studying
Mars, they have been using rovers and from there they collected data, samples, and took pictures.
These rovers study Marsatmosphere, temperatures, weather, if it has water, and a lot more. With all
of the data the scientists have gathered we know that Mars atmosphere is a lot different than our, yet
still has similarities.
Even though Earth and Mars are in the same solar system and orbit the same sun, Mars
atmosphere and the planet itself is a lot different from Earth. Mars is 142 million miles away
from the sun, with a year being 687 days long. It is about half of Earth s size, and is one tenth of
Earth s mass. Mars atmosphere is carbon based, containing 95.3% carbon dioxide, and also it
only has .3% water vapor (Source for %). The average temperature on Mars is 81 degrees Fahrenheit
which is approximately 62 degrees Celsius (NASA). Mars atmosphere is also very thin, so it does
not allow liquid water to exist at the surface for long (Newsela). Also Mars has a lot less gravity,
Earth has 62.5% more gravity than Mars does (NASA). Mars environment would not be very
hospitable for human life.
Earth also differs a lot from Mars, Earth is 78.1% nitrogen, and 20.9% oxygen, and isn t carbon
based (Source for %). While Mars only is only .3% water vapor, Earth is 1 4%
Descriptive Essay About Coffee Shop
I walk down Hillsborough Street on a windy, brisk day, passing many people on the sidewalk. I
approach the store entrance, noticing the large, hand painted sign in their front window. Opening
the door, I walk in and instantly feel warm and comfortable. The store is dimly lit with soft jazz
playing in the background. Many tables and booths line the store and most are filled with
students working and people socializing. I approach the counter and order my regular, an iced
mint mocha. As I order, the employee and I make small talk, asking each other about our days.
After I order, I step to the side to wait for my drink. As I wait, I look around the store, seeing the
shelves of art and cultural pieces in the front and posters advertising their locally roasted coffeeand
the fair trade practice. An employee calls out my drink and I take it from the counter, thanking the
employee as I walk away. I walk back toward the front, open the door and exit; warm and happy
from getting my favorite coffee and the welcoming store environment.
Global Village is a local coffee shop on Hillsborough Street and is very popular among both NC
state students and the local Raleigh community. Global Village is a unique and vibrant place with
an inviting, warm environment. I gravitated toward Global Village for this project due to the
uniqueness of the shop. As I began to explore what made the shop unique, I realized that there are
specific values that sets Global Village apart from other coffee
The Traditions of Western and Chinese Cultures Essay
ABSTRACT: In European atomic theory, Euclid s geometry and Aristotle s logic complement each
other and are generally acknowledged sources of Western science. In China, the book Zhou Yi is the
source of Chinese science because it system contains a unity of philosophic, logical and
mathematical thinking. These two systems form the core of the scientific models of the Western and
Chinese cultural traditions. In political and ideological arenas, the Western is a contract model based

In political and ideological areas. The Western is a contract model built on the basis of individuals,
but the Chinese is an entirety one built on the basis of man administration. In the Western societies,
the inner general tensile stress of contracts causes losses and breaks of action standards and values,
but it has features of reconstruction, regeneration and creation. The entirety theory is contrary. Its
breaks and losses cause a whole collapse, but as it is frar from the balance condition, it has a
tendency of super stability structures through the inner adjustment. The two traditions of western
and Chinese cultures formed in the axis period of human history still has a great life force today.
The proverb two poles are interlined still has a realistic significance for us to understand the real life
of human society.

From the visual angle of mankind culture, the scientific humanist George Sartor pointed out, In all
traditions the science tradition is the most rational or of the fewest non ration and The understanding
of civilization history should be mainly concentrated in the history of science . Jose Li, the world

mixtures of various cultural traditions, and that, to investigate
Essay on Codes of Practice
Ethics and values apply to our personal and professional lives. Ethics are a notion of one s
actions, which originates from ideology of an individual doing what is right not wrong.
According to the dictionary ethics is the branch of philosophy dealing with values relating to
human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions and to the
goodness and badness of the motives and ends of such actions. These beliefs are amassed to help a
person determine how their actions will be carried out. Ideals can be applied as values to a person s
way of living. There are people that view values as a personal code, and see them as a personal

Consumers often associate company ethics with brand quality. Many codes also side with laws,
for example as listed in the AANA Code of Ethics Advertising or Marketing Communications
shall comply with Commonwealth law and the law of the relevant State or Territory. Within
advertising codes of practice can be use to avoid complaints being made against a commercial
after it has been printed and/or aired on radio or television. They are also in place to protect
consumers from issues that are not suitable for all audiences, but it is impossible to please all
consumers as everybody has different views. As is said by Jones and Van Putten (2008, p.98) In
many cases, there is not a definitive right and wrong; for example, it is often the case that we are
dealing with controversial products or sensitive behaviours (e.g., contraceptives and sexual
practices) and/or two principles which are seen to be right by different groups are in conflict (e.g.,
pro life vs.pro choice). Differing from a code of practice is a code of Ethics is a company s
