Difference Between Peace And Human Rights Movement
Human right and peace movements started a long time ago in the early nineteenth century when the
anti colonial movement was started. The aim of different movements, however, differs with the issue
at hand by that time. Many people fought for the realization of a world free of colonializing using
these human right movements. Their major role is to sensitize the public and the government of the
current oppressing issue. For instance, when people realized that their civil rightswere doomed by
selected few in the time, they came up with movements that could force rectification of the way.
Notably, peace and human right movements have helped the public a lot from the beginning of time.
The beginning of movements was faced with challenges in most cases having been frequently
criticized by the mass media for they seemed not to have a clear goal. However, if the movement has
a concrete claim, the way through shows up with time. For example, in the fight for voting right, the
movement was faced with many challenges including media criticism. The whites wanted to
maintain supremacy and hence did not want any sign of equality. Also not to forget the anti colonial
movement where many people died in the quest for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, in some cases, it becomes hard to protest peacefully and they try to force their way.
When violence and force are used, the result is the death of members and property. This goes
against our point that peace and human right movements are good and they help sensitize people
and bring change to the society (Taylor, n. p.). For example, during the anti colonial human right
movement, many people lost life and property as they tried to force their way out. Moreover, during
voting right movement people lost life and property while others were forced to run to other
countries. Even though the change they were fighting for came to be, they had lost a
Pharmacy Technician Essay
As the health care industry expands and there is need for health care professionals, the future of
pharmacy is expanding as well. New roles in pharmacy will be created that allow pharmacists to
serve that increasing population and the needs of the new health care systems. These roles are
growing, specializing in drug therapy interventions and treatment. Highly trained, skilled technicians
are critical elements in a high functioning pharmacy, more training a and education for pharmacy
technicians is more responsibility.

The University of Wisconsin Hospital and clinics implemented a tech check tech program and
recorded a 99.8% accuracy for pharmacy technicians filling unit dose medication cassettes. Other
pilot programs compared pharmacists with trained pharmacy technicians on checking unit dose

Accredited pharmacy programs do not just train to be retail technicians or a hospital technician, they
have across the board training and employers know that anyone they hire from an accredited
program has experience with things like vaccines, sterile products, IV preparation and stress
management. As a mobile society and techs being trained under accredited programs, they have
broad knowledge and training.
Looking ahead, The Bureau of Labor and Statistics predicts that employment of pharmacy
technicians will increase by 31% by 2018 compared with the 2008 figures, not because pharmacists
are expanding into more clinical roles but also because prescriptions drug use will increase overall

Argumentative Essay-Harambe Is Wrong
The Killing of Harambe was NOT Ok Do you think that shooting a harmless animal is okay? On
May 28, 2016 a three year old boy fell into Harambe, a 420 pound Silverback gorilla s, den. Zoo
officials quickly decided to shoot Harambe to save the little boy, although he was in no danger. I
think Harambe should not have gotten killed because according to experts he was not aggressive
towards people, and also he was used to humans. Also I think that the place he lived should have
been fully enclosed. Lastly, instead of shooting the gorilla, I think they should have used a
tranquilizer gun. The first reason why I think Harambe shouldn t have been killed is because he
was used to the presence of humans. He was born in and raised in captivity, and he was with a
zookeeper at least once a day. This shows that he wouldn t have harmed the little boy.... Show more

I don t think the boy or no one else from the public should have been able to get into his cage. If
the exhibit would have been fully inclosed, the little boy wouldn t have been able to get in, and
Harambe wouldn t have been killed. I think the zoo and the parents both should have been held
accountable. This shows that if there was more safety that it would have never happened. Some
people say that Harambe should have been killed instantly because a human s life is more important
that an animal s. I agree with them that human lives are more important than animals, but I don t
think Harambe should have been killed. I think that the zoo should have tranquilized

They used to say at the time that these places were a place to die .
Towards the end of the 18th century, a moral treatment movement developed, that implemented more
humane, psychosocial and personalized approaches.
The creation of asylums is based on two assumptions: isolation, which removes the patient from his
environment, and the moral treatment, which gives the alienist the power to exercise his influence
over the disturbed mind.
The term psychiatry only emerged in the nineteenth century, when madness was then categorized as
an illness and it was realized that removing these people from society was no longer enough and
these people actually needed to be studied and treated by medicine.
The success of moral treatment had cast doubt on the approach of medics, and many had opposed it,
but by the mid 19th century many supported it but argued that the mad also often had physical
/organic problems, so that both approaches were
Mill Utilitarianism Essay
For Mill utilitarianism is a theory that is based on the belief that actions are right in proportion as
they tend to promote happiness, wrong as they tend to produce the reverse of happiness also
known as the greatest happiness principle. As happiness is the sole basis of morality; people rarely
want anything but happiness . Mill believes people s achievement of goals and ends virtuous living
should be considered a part of the individual s happiness. Mill defines happiness as pleasurewithout
pain as pleasure can vary in quality and quantity. Mill writes in Utilitarianism, happiness is: not a life
of rapture, but moments of such, in an existence made up of few and transitory pains, many and
various pleasures, with a decided predominance of the active over the passive, and having as the
foundation of the whole not to expect more from life than it is capable of bestowing. Mill thought
ethicsshould focus instead on quality of pleasure rather than quantity of pleasure. He divides the
pleasures into two categories, that is, higher and lower. Hence, Mill utilitarianism was his
differentiation between higher intellectual pleasures and lower bodily pleasures Mill argues that
higher pleasures hold actual value; the higher pleasures are more appeasing to one s feelings. He
draws a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The two problems with utilitarianism, one of which questions whether pleasure is the only
important moral value, and the other that questions whether it can function as the authority in
moral judgments. I believe utilitarianism does not accurately describe how we always make moral
decisions; it is difficult to see how many people might be affected by a given course of action; it is
equally difficult to know how to assign importance to the various good or bad consequences that
come about as moral decision making is the one area we cannot account for with a
Effects Of Nafta On Mexican Farmers
Effects of NAFTA on Mexican farmers
Introduction
NAFTA refers to a trilateral free trade agreement, which came into force in January 1994. It was
concluded between the USA, Mexico and Canada. The main purpose of the agreement was to
eliminate most tariffs on products traded between the three countries. It was decided that the tariffs
would be phased out gradually. The final phase of the treaty was supposed to be introduced by
January 1, 2008 (Yunez Naude 5). As a result of the agreement, tariffs were eliminated in several
industries. Agriculture was in the main focus, together with textiles and automobiles. In addition,
NAFTA developed intellectual property protection regulation, as well as dispute resolution
mechanisms and environmental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Effects of NAFTA on Mexico and the USA
The effects of NAFTA on the Mexican economy should be assessed in consideration with economic
cycles in the United States and Mexico s currency fluctuations. The country s 1995 currency crisis
had an impact on Mexico s economic growth and real wages, same as the 2009 financial crisis.
Broadly speaking, NAFTA brought economic and social benefits to the Mexican economy.
However, these benefits were not equally distributed throughout sectors and country. Due to
NAFTA, business cycles in the three countries became more synchronized, whereas these
economies became more inter connected. The 1995 financial crisis causes a drop in the GDP. It
decreased by 6.2%. However, in the following three years it grew 5% 6% annually, with further
drop to 0.2% in 2001. This decrease was associated with worsened economic conditions in the
United States. When the economic situation in America improved, the Mexico s real GDP started
to grow as well. It reached 4% in 2004 and 4.9% in 2007. The 2009 global financial crisis negatively
affected the country s performance.
NAFTA allowed Mexico to enhance development and get close to the US and Canada. Mexican
manufacturers could adopt the US technology and became more innovative, which had a positive
impact on the number and quality of jobs. Due to NAFTA, Mexico increased FDI, which would be
40% lower without the agreement (Villarreal 7). Mexico s economic performance was strongly
Vladimir Lenin Impact On Russia
Vladimir Lenin was a dedicated revolutionary who impacted Russia greatly from 1917 24, due to
his motivations of wanting to achieve a social utopian society. Lenin s ideology was inspired by
Karl Marx s theory of communism. Lenin created his own version of communism, Leninism, as
Marx stated that communism can only be achieved in a developed country, which Russiawas not
during this time as peasants made up 84% of the population compared to the 4% that was the
working class. Lenin was able to change certain aspects in Russia such as the economy, society and
the government while in power.

Lenin relied on fear and terror to control the citizens of Russia. This lead to the establishment of
the Cheka in December 1917, which was the secret police that made sure consequences were given
to those who opposed the Bolshevik party and were considered as threats to the party. The Red
Terror was created in September 1918 to maintain political control. The Cheka was very similar to
the secret police the Tsar had called the Ohkrana, however the Cheka were more efficient and
organised. Lenin ended Russification, which was the idea that everyone had to speak Russian and
believe in the Church. This meant that the population had freedom of religion, providing that they
put communism before their beliefs. One of Lenin s greatest quotes from the April Thesis was
Bread, Peace, Land . Due to this, Lenin created the Land Decree, which meant that land was
given back to the peasants and also signed the Treaty of Brest Litovsk to end the war between
Germany and Russia during World War I (1914 1918) and created peace within Russia. Peace
however, was not fulfilled as shortly after the treaty was signed, civil war occurred in Russia.
Richard Pipes, a historian, stated that the April Thesis, were not in touch with reality if not simply
mad . This indicates that Pipes believed that Lenin s promises were impossible to achieve during
1917. Lenin also introduced education to all Russians,
Theme Of Red In Of Mice And Men
By eliminating the important symbol of red from the movie, the characterization of Curley s wife,
the connection to the girl in Weed, and the foreshadowing are all lost.

The color red in the book Of Mice and Men associates Curley s wife with lust and danger, whereas
the loss of the color red in the movie does not emphasize Curley s wife as lustful or dangerous.
Curley s wife in the book wears a lot of makeup, and she is covered head to toe in red. She had full
rouged lips... Her fingernails were red... wore red mules, on the insteps of which were red ostrich
feathers (Steinbeck 31). She is a tart and coquettish in the eyes of the ranchers, because throughout
the book she is covered in the red symbol of sex. She is also seen as troublesome ... Show more

From the beginning of the book Curley s wife who was associated with red has symbolized
danger, more specifically the danger she will put George and Lennie in. George even calls out
this danger She s jailbait all set on the trigger (Steinbeck 51). George realizes that something
wrong is bound to happen with Curley s wife as he, in the most simplistic form, calls her a trap.
Red also foreshadows danger in the book right before she leads Lennie to kill her, Curley s wife
came around the end of the last stall. She wore... the mules with the red ostrich feathers
(Steinbeck 86). Again the symbol of danger is emphasized in her clothes to foreshadow that
something troubling will happen, she will tell Lennie to feel her hair and scream, provoking
Lennie to break her neck, causing George to kill Lennie. Whereas in the movie, there is no
foreshadowing because there is no red to symbolize danger. Where there should have been
foreshadowing Curley s wife wore floral dresses to symbolize life. This is contrary to
foreshadowing death or that something troubling will happen. There is also a loss of
foreshadowing before Curley s wife s death. Instead of the red clothing she is seen in white. White,
unlike red, does not foreshadow that something bad will happen. The loss of the symbol red in the
movie loses the books original
