Capital One s Marketing Strategy
Capital One has a long history of creating long standing relationships with their customers. They
have achieved this through a complex marketing strategy, This strategy has propelled them forward,
allowing for them to conquer feats unlike any other companies. Although this strategy has faced both
its ups and downs, meaning it has undergone a multitude of changes throughout the years. Capital
One s marketing strategy has created both successes and failures, but with it s growing nature will
continue to strive for excellence, as shown from previous accounts.
Richard Fairbank and Nigel Morris, both diligent entrepreneurs, started laying the bricks for their
eventual successful company, Capital One, in the late 1980 s. They both worked in the Virginia
based Signet Bank . Fairbank started noticing trends in the financial industry that he felt Signet was
missing out on. These opportunities were in the credit card industry. He, as well as all of Signet
Bank knew that the credit card industry was very risky, but Fairbank was ready to take a chance in
this, what can be, highly profitable field.
Signet Bank almost had to cut the credit card venture do to losses in profit from some real estate
problems during the first couple years of the credit card launch, but being the idea champions they
were, Fairbank, along with his partner Morris, both put their heads together and saved the day for
Signet Bank. They made their credit card more personal and gave out highly competitive
Beetles Vs Lodgepole Pine
The authors in this article explored the following questions: Firstly, if the constant reproduction of
pine beetles in whitebark pine in high elevation is a consequence of their eruption in lodgepole pine
or it represent some initial changes in the system due to changes in temperature. Secondly, with
changing climatic conditions how insects determine their choices of host plant species. Thirdly, what
is the reaction of other natural enemies to pinebeetles attack to whitebark versus lodgepole pine?
They tested the hypothesis if the mountain pine beetles attack lower defensive host like whitebark
pine while expanding their range to high elevations due to increasing high temperatures. Previous
research suggests that either whitebark pine should... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even with field study, I would give information on temperature and other factors that influence
results of this study with variation in each year s climate to make it more convincing. Abstract was
okay but the results does not coincides with the title and all assumptions made by authors. I would
be more specific like instead of eruptive insect I would use mountain pine beetle or even start with
Comparing susceptibility of historic host lodgepole pine and naive host whitebark pine to
mountain pine beetle attack in a field study . I think the current title is too broad and tide to
bigger picture of this study. I understand it is sometimes difficult in field studies but I would try to
be more consistent with the time of the year I start and end collecting data and also have equal
sample size for both tree species. May be due to journal requirement they changed the traditional
way of scientific article but I prefer to read and write methods before results. I think the way they
wrote this paper or may be their wording makes it confusing and have to read it back and forth for
clear picture, seems like some sections of introduction should be in discussion but discussion is
already too long. I would try to make it simple to understand with some rearrangement in text. I felt
like they tried to fit in all data they

How long could one person watch animal, crime, and history documentaries? For normal people,
maybe a week; maybe even just a few days. There is one girl, a girl who may or may not be alone
in this interest, who watches them like her life depends on it. Though those are a great deal of her
interests; although, they are not all of them. This girl has vast interests that surely began on the day
she was born, Friday, October 15, 1999, and continued snowballing until presently. On that date this
girl was born; and as she grew, she realized her interests. She found that she could watch nature,
animal, history, crime, and countless other types of documentaries for hours actually, days on end.
She watched nature, crime, and other psychological documentaries to know how people and the
world worked, together and apart. The history documentaries were greatly due to her great interest in
the subject; though, you could never ask her to pick just one favorite time period. This girl was an
interesting one, she loved the dark history; World War I and II, The Tudor Dynasty in England, and
much more. Although, that should not scare anyone off considering she also loves the artisan,
literature, industrial, and post war eras; the Renaissance, the Young... Show more content on

she practices and attempts to become a much better player. This girl has practiced and tried to
perfect her playing technique, hopefully gaining some support in the process. Though, she does
not need support even if it is greatly appreciated. She loves playing the clarinet so much that she
would not give it up, no matter who told her to. This girl, in her goal oriented ways, will try and try
until she succeeds in becoming one of the best clarinet players that her band director and idol, Mr.

Masculinity In Fight Club
In the 1996 Chuck Palahniuk novel, Fight Club, the author uses a club in which grown men fistfight
as a vehicle for a plot and analysis of modern culture. The novel follows the path of an unnamed
character who struggles with insomnia. .The unnamed character meets a mysterious man named
Tyler Durden and establishes an underground fighting club as radical psychotherapy.[note 1].
Throughout the novel, the narrator, uses the experiences from fight club and project mayhem to help
find himself. The narrator is aided in his development through the themes of materialism, isolation,
and emasculation. do the themes of loneliness, masculinity, and freedom from society change the
unnamed protag. throughout the duration of the novel. The narrator of the... Show more content on

Soon a woman joined the support group, who like the narrator was faking the illness. The
presence of the woman made the narrator try to act like a man, and keep his tears to himself. He
did not want to appear weak, and helpless in front of her. Another character, the mechanic, says If
you re male and you re Christian and living in America, your father is your model for God...And if
you never know your father, if your father bails out or dies or is never at home, what do you
believe about God? (palahnuik 133). Since the narrator has no father figure he is forced to go out
in search of his own model. The fight club itself is created because there is an absence of
masculinity in these men, and it allows them to discover their inner self by fighting each other. The
narrator does not want to die without a few scars [because] it is It s nothing anymore to have a
beautiful body (palahnuk 39). This proves that it was very important for people to show their
masculinity, not just by their actions, but by physical appearance as
Why Do People Be Allowed To Keep Pit Bulls
Should People Be Allowed To Keep Pit Bulls?
By Seven S. Mitchell
Now what do you think when you hear the name Pit Bull ? The Pit Bull is a mixed breed of dog,
mixed with Terrier and Mastiff dog types. Also, known as Pit Yankee Terrier, Rebel Terrier and
Staffordshire Fighting Dog. Some may say that Pit Bulls are great pets to have and like many other
animals that become very emotionally connected with their owners and families. However, others
think that Pit Bull are violent monsters that know only one thing which is to attack. I know the
good side of Pit Bulls through my own experience with this caring breed. I am here to explain to
you how Pit Bulls aren t the demons that some may claim they are.
Pit Bulls don t attack for no reason.
Now most people demonize Pits for their history of attacks on people. Even though when this
happens many reports of these terrifying acts just may lack some important information. For
example, a woman was bitten by a pit but the thing is the Pit was unconscious. When the woman
found the unconscious dog she tried reaching in the dogs mouth to check the pulse when the bite
took place. So, think about it, was this information important to know to come to a fair conclusion?
Yes, without the extra information like that, many people mistake the way this ... Show more content

People should be allowed to keep Pit Bulls because of their many traits. As stated by
Internationally known Atlanta based rap artist and businessman Big Boi of the group Outkast

dispel the stigma that s been put on them... When all s said and done, I just want to sit back with
my animals in the midst of the trees and the forest and just be peaceful. Not only for the rich and
famous pit bulls are for everyone and anyone (but not dog abusers and bad
Green Energy is a Substitute Energy Source
Introduction
Green (or alternative) energy is a substitute energy source for fossil fuels. Alternative energy is
interchangeable with Renewable energy since the sources that are generated are natural and cannot
be exhausted, all of which have minimal environmental impact. Alternative energy sources include
solar power, which is acquired from the sun; wind power; water energy, which produces
hydroelectricity; and biomass energy, which comes from plants. Due to these sources being free and
causing no harm to the environment, they are increasingly being used around the world. The energy
sector has been growing, as governments are adapting environmental policies to reduce pollution and
welcoming alternative energy sources.
Alternative energy has many economic, environmental and social benefits. Economically,
alternative energy satisfies the continuous and ever growing demand and cost of energy. As the
world populates and new discoveries are made on a daily basis, energy sources are not only being
exhausted, they are also harming the environment, and thus people. Due to the high demand for
energy and not so high supply, prices are rising day by day. Alternative energies are the solution to
this problem, as their cost ranges from nothing to low. Environmentally, switching from fuels to
alternative energy saves our world from impacts such as pollution, global warming and
deforestation. Socially, our growing dependence on petroleum from around the world can be risky,
as supply
The Negative Effects Of Technology In Education
The popularity of technology is growing larger and faster than ever. The problem is, we may never
be able to catch up to it. The young adolescent adults seemed to be more interested in technology.
Some experts claim that it does more harm than value. In terms of education, technology is becoming
more and more popular and used among many school districts, although this can come with
complications and allows students to ease threw assignments without having to fix their own
problems. Also, technology can affect teenagers social abilities and let strangers have access to
personal information.
Education has found its way into the loop of technology. Teachers are using ipads and laptops
during class time to help conduct experiments, or share a presentation. This is allowing the students
to gain instant access to the information they are seeking. Students also receive the opportunity to
complete their homework online and print off their assignments instead of just using paper and
pencil. Another pro for Technology in Education, there are countless sources out there which help
enhance learning. In one research conducted, they compared the performance of teaching kids
how to read a clock. One group was coached by an online app, another was shown by a toy clock,
and the last group was trained by a drawing example. The results revealed that the children that were
taught by the toy and app exceeded the paper drawing group (Galetzka).
However, some would say that within education, the use of technology can influence students to
cheat or take the easy way out on their assignments. Students today can easily access essays,
reports, class notes, tests, etc. online, making it that much more difficult for teachers to know if the
work their students hand in is original (Ronan). This dilemma interferes with teenagers processing
new information. The Internet is a great tool; however, teens may rely too heavily on it, and
worse, believe everything they see. I believe that the internet can be a great source to gain more
knowledge, however, one needs to acknowledge how to effectively use this tool to benefit them.
Next, technology helps us complete tedious tasks. For example, you are writing an essay and you
are not an
Summary Of Juana In John Steinbeck, By John Steinbeck
Juana is a huge pillar of support to her family throughout the book. Playing a critical part, aiding
them, they would find it incredibly grueling to anywhere without her. Most of the time she is seen
as a servant as she carries, feeds, and tends to all of Coyotito s needs, and occasionally helps Kino.
However, Jauna at times is as fierce as a fire. During these times Juana s quick thinking and her
actions save Kino multiple times throughout the book. Then her outstanding intellect allows her to
stay calm and collected as she tries in vain to give wise advice to Kino.
In the first few pages of the book, she already saves Coyotito s life. When the scorpion stung
Coyotito, She (Juana) put her lips down over the puncture and sucked hard and spat and sucked
again (John Steinbeck Pg 6) this got rid of enough poison to save Coyotito s life.. Then there are
some of the smaller things as Steinbeck really likes to show how often Juana tended to Coyotito:
Juana laid Coyotito on the blanket ( Pg 15 ) and she dressed Coyotito in the clothes she had
prepared for his baptism ( Pg 44 ). Steinbeck then wrote all of these examples too: The doctor, she
said. Go to get the doctor. (), and She placed her shawl over him so that the hot sun could not shine
on him () or She held Coyotito in her arms and sang the song to him () etc, etc, etc. Skipping to
after Coyotito died, and Juana was about to get rid the pearl. She was still holding her dead bundle
over her
