Terms & Conditions

1. General Conditions

1. The License is valid as from the date of issue and expires on 31st December of that year.
2. Upon expiry, the application for renewal shall be made by 31st March of that year and must be accompanied by the prescribed renewal fee. Failure to renew your licence on
time attracts a penalty of 50% of the renewal fee.
3. The licensee shall not transfer or otherwise divest any rights, powers or obligations conferred or imposed on him by the license without permission from the Energy and
Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
4. The licensee shall ensure replacement of the license if lost, defaced or destroyed, the licensee shall provide a police abstract and pay Ksh. 500 for any such replacement.
5. Upon withdrawal of the Licensed Electrical worker from the licensed contractor, the license shall remain valid for thirty (30) days, a period within which the Authority will require
the contractor to provide an alternative electrical worker.
6. The licensee shall ensure that at all times that the license is displayed in prominent position on his premise of work.
7. The licensee shall notify the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority in writing of any incident or accident in the course of their work immediately and in any case not more
than 48 hours after the occurrence of such an accident or incident
8. The licensee shall provide the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority with full access to all its record, documents and premises as when required.

1. Specific Conditions

1. The works carried out by the licensee shall be as provided for by the scope of the electrical worker attached to the company.
2. The licensee shall be required to generate from the licensing portal the commencement certificate before the start of any electrical works and completion certificate after the
works are completed. The test result should be clearly indicated on the completion certificate.
3. Contravention of the general and specific terms and conditions herein shall lead to certificate revocation and legal action.
