Neo-Aristotelian Rhetoric Analysis
Introduction
Every four years in United States of America fellow Americans gather in front of a television
screen at home, in a class room or in the work place to watch who the potential candidates for the
presidency. Not all Americans are politicians, but they watch to see which of these candidates
steals their heart and who they will want to become the next President of the United State of
America. Creating a contest for the candidates among each other, regardless if they are in the same
party or not. There is only one first place! Only one person can become President. Every word,
action and language that they use matters at this point. What languages were used to consider
Barack Obama Out of Many, One speech an electrifying speech? How did he steal the hearts of the
American people? When stepping up on that stage one must steal the hearts of their fellow American
people and not only of their own party, telling Americans what they can do for the United States of
America as the next president. Using Neo Aristotelian Criticism, I will analyze former President
Barack Obama s 2004 Democratic Convention speech, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Neo Aristotelian is the first formal method of rhetorical criticism formed by the communication
field (Foss, 2009). In the year of 1925, Herbert A. Wichelns detailed the central features of the Neo
Aristotelian method in The Literacy of Oratory (Foss, 2009). Before Wichelns method, there was no
guideline to how properly conduct Criticism (Foss, 2009). This method is commonly used for
analyzing speeches and other spoken discourses given to an audience of any sort. Neo Aristotelian
involves four steps: choosing the artifact, analyzing the artifact, formulating a research question and
lastly, writing the essay. The difference from Neo Aristotelian criticism and other criticism methods
can be found in one of the steps, which is analyzing the artifact
Amontillado Literary Fiction
Is Cask of Amontillado a literary or commercial fiction?
People might have thought of giving a revenge on someone that you really hate, but if the revenge
is to kill that person, what would it be like? There is a book named The Cask of Amontillado which
handles this kind of subject. This book seemed to be a fiction, and is this book a literary or
commercial fiction? While I was reading the text, I thought the plot, characters, and the theme was
more towards the literary fiction. As I read this book, the unique plot and the first person of the
protagonist is the narrator was very interesting.
One of the factors that decide whether the fiction is literary or commercial is the plot of the story.
The distinction of the plot of commercial fiction is that the story is unconventional the ending is not
really clear, rather ambiguous. In this story especially, there is a lot to discuss the ... Show more

Initially, the story starts with the quote of the narrator saying, I vowed revenge , and this shows that
this story will be about one character s revenge towards the other one. Within the theme, Poe, the
author has created suspense by foreshadowing that there will be a revenge of the narrator against
Fortunato. Including the theme revenge, another theme could be the betrayal. Fortunato had trusted
the narrator, Montresor, but the narrator finally betrays Fortunato. This kind of theme can be found
in the real world, so it can be considered as a literary fiction because one of the characteristics of
literary fiction is helping us to better understand the real world.
The book Cask of Amontillado is a book with unique content that attracts a lot of readers, and there
are distinguishable characteristics that can be defined as a certain fiction. Within qualities of most of
the literary fiction, I would evaluate this fiction as literary fiction although it contains a few of
commercial fiction
Essay On Family Trip
Have you ever gotten on a family trip and wondered if it could possibly change the way you
perceive life? Well, let me tell you that this exact matter happened to me the last Fourth of July.
When you are in your teenager years a person only thinks of one point and that s you, yourself, and
you again. That s what I had on my mindbefore going to this marvelous trip, but how I saw my
future before I went, and how I saw it when I came back and were very different. How could a mere
and inoffensive family trip become such an important change in my life?
The twilight of the trip, what a baloney; or so I thought. Everything began on Friday the 1rst of
July in the Miami Bay, All the cruises where standing there; so majestuous and flawless, fearless of

What I didn t count on was the fact that I was going to be swimming among them in a special pool
on the hotel. This pool has the form of an antique Maya temple, with an extensive toboggan at the
top that passes right through the pool of sharks. That view while passing from inside the toboggan
is one am never going to forget and how could I if this trip was being my first time in so many
ways; It was my first time outside the U.S, also it was my first time on a cruise, and not to mention
my first time swimming with sharks.
The next element that called my attention was something called the White party, it consisted of a
truly big party on the deck of the boat where every single person was supposed to dress in white
and greed the captain and the crew. The next day we went to a private island, regardless to say
that it had also been my first time on a private island, it was a paradise like place. There everyone
was doing fun activities, surfing, snorkeling, and even biking. After spending the day there we went
back to the ship and the next morning we were on the Miami Bay
Sally Asimov
Sally is a fictional story written in 1953 by Isaac Asimov about driverless cars that are capable of
communicating. The story relates to the vehicles of today and the news articles of today. Both
stories, Sally and the Newsela article, talk about driverless and cars that communicate with other
cars, but only the Newsela article is based off of real life. The Newsela article talks about how
new cars are able to communicate with each other, and how they tell each other about obstacles
and other things on the road. Sally talks about cars that drive by themselves and how the cars
communicate with each other. V2V will provide 360 degree situational awareness on the road,

Ulcerative Surgery Research Paper
Surgery is a Permanent Cure for Ulcerative Colitis

When the results of all the tests confirm that you have an ulcerative colitis and medications have
not eased the inflammation and pain, surgery is a viable option. The type of surgery for your
particular problem will depend on the amount of the damage that needs to be corrected. Your
Glendora General Surgeon will explain each procedure and discuss which one is best for you.

A protocolectomy is an operation to totally remove the large colon and rectum. Another operation,
called a subtotal colectomy, leaves the rectum intact, but removes the entire large colon. And a third
type of operation is called a partial colectomy, which does not impact the rectum, but it does remove
the inflamed part of the large colon. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The surgery is performed in a hospital. Before the surgery, you will be given a general anesthesia
to ensure that you will not feel any pain. The surgery will take between 3 to 4 hours to complete.
And you will need to remain in the hospital for several days.

LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY:
This operation requires 3 to 5 small incisions be made in your lower stomach. A medical
laparoscope is an instrument with a slender tube and an attached camera that the surgeon puts
into one of the incisions in order to see where the damaged area is located. Your stomach is filled
with gas so that the surgeon has a good view of the area where he will be working. One larger cut
may be required if the surgeon needs to put a hand inside of the stomach to help remove the colon.
It is not unusual to remove some lymph nodes while removing the damaged areas. The incisions will
be closed with stitches or staples.

OPEN SURGERY:
The surgeon follows the same procedure as for the laparoscopic surgery, but there is only one large
incision made in the lower stomach

The Implication of Early Marriage Towards Teenagers
Birth, marriage and death are the standard trio of key events in most people s lives. But only one,
marriage is a matter of choice (Innocenti Digest, 2001). The rights to have a choice were
recognized as a principle of law, yet many girls and some boys enter marriage life without any
chance of their rights to choose. Childhood and adolescence are usually the greatest years of one s
life. However, the period is cut short when marriageand adult responsibilities come too early as ones

Girls who marry earlier tend to have poorer health and higher in risk of transmitting disease and
HIV/AIDS. Very recently, the situation of children in need of special protection, notably girls
vulnerable to sexual abuse and HIV/AIDS, suggests that early marriage is being used as a strategy
to protect girls from sexual exposure (Innocenti Digest, 2001). Most decision for young girl to
marry is as their parents believe they are protecting their daughter from HIV/AIDS. Other than that,
some men fear of HIV infection have encourage them to seek young virgin, therefore uninfected
partners. However, marriage does not offer any protection instead increase married girls exposure to
virus as older husband may already be infected by previous sexual relationship. According to Rao
Gupta and Geeta (1998), more than half of new HIV infections occur in 15 24 year olds, but girls
become infected at twice the rate of boys. Other than risk on getting HIV/AIDS, other infection
may arise due to early marriage. The risk of early pregnancy and child birth are well documented:
increased risk of dying, increased risk of premature labor, complications during delivery, low birth
weight, and a higher chance that the newborn will not survive (Senderowitz Judith, 1995).

In conclusion, we know that many implications of early marriage that we can take as guidance in
our daily life. A joint effort to formulate and implement policies and strategies is needed. In

Media s Negative Effects On Body Image
How does body image affect a person s well being? A person s body image is the way they
perceive their body, including thoughts, emotions, behaviour and attitude towards the perceived
mental image of their body. Many teenagers become obsessed with their body and how it appears
to themselves and others. With all the various sources of distorted media, it is easy for people of all
ages to develop negative body image, which can lead to unhealthy measures. The fashionindustry has
a major influence due to the fact that it is the very thing that puts clothes on our backs.

There is no actual problem specifically. The problem is when body image begins to affect a
person s well being in a negative way. The ideal body is shown to everyone throughout all forms
of media, bombarding them with images of what society and media think they should look like.
Making people think that this is what they need to look like to make it as a model in the fashion
industry. People s body image has become so distorted, seen in the major difference between how
they see themselves and how others see them, how harsh they pass judgment on their own
appearance and see others. They are presented with false images starting at a very young age,
incredibly influenced by the environment people grow up in, and are taught to be someone that
they are not. Taught to be perfect, when no one is perfect, just what society approves as perfect .
Yet these images and influences can cause people to harm their bodies, to change their bodies in a
drastic way to conform to what society sees as acceptable, perfect , ideal . Body image isn t a
problem, it s how people see themselves, their emotions and attitude towards themselves and their
body. The real problem is media, including all forms used in the fashion industry; promoting ideals
that are not healthy, that are not

Baroque Music And The Baroque Era
Baroque music began in Italy and it spread to all other parts of Europe. The musical characters in
the baroque era pursued interests in subjectivity of the observers and created a deep human
feeling while composing their music (Harbison 22). This character of the baroque artists is
depicted in several works done by Michelangelo. One of the pieces of art was campidoglio on the
hill capitalino. The picture above takes the structure of a sculpture and it is placed in a three
dimension space having different open square loggia. It has lamps on the staircase as shown and

The messiah is characterized by an orchestral restraint something that was ignored by other
musicians who adopted the same genre of music, for example, Mozart (Steinberg 154). According
to Lorraine Hunt and Nicholas CD, the messiah begins with a quiet note, whereby the first chorus

Why Did The Us Win The Battle Of Midway
The Battle of Midway raged in 1942 from June 3 through June 7. At the time, the Americans were
losing the war against the Japanese. All hope seemed to be lost, until the United States won the
battle, much to the surprise of the Japanese. Without America winning the battle, The Japanese
would have occupied Hawaii, which would have given them a base between North America and
Asia, and the Japanese would start their island hopping campaign. The Americans won the battle
of Midway thanks to the U.S. intelligence deciphering codes from the Japanese, the failure of
Japan not winning the Battle of the Coral Sea, and the failure of Japanese to destroy the fuel

The Battle of the Coral Sea happened a month before the Battle of Midway. The Battle of the
Coral Sea was the first naval battle fought entirely by carrier aircraft. The Japanese s goal was to
capture Port Moresby in New Guinea and Tulagi. Once this happened, at Port Moresby, the Imperial
Navy could have executed their Operation FS, which would allow them the occupation of Fiji and
Samoa and critically hurt Australia. But the Japanese could not succeed in their plan, because the
Americans had learned of it through code deciphering. With learning of the Japanese s plans, the
Americans sent two aircraft carriers, Lexington and Yorktown, to prevent the Operation FS. The
Japanese had lost one aircraft carrier and two were critically damaged. The United States had lost
Lexington, while Yorktown was critically damaged. The Japanese had assumed that Yorktown had
sunk, but it was quickly repaired after learning that the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor.
The Japanese had suffered heavy losses at the Battle of the Coral Sea, which in turn resulted in their
