Jon Jovi Persuasive Essay
The lead singer of Bon Jovi, Jon Bon Jovi, said Map out your future but do it in pencil. The road
ahead is as long as you make it. Make it worth the trip . This quote is important because it shows
that when he was a kid, he had a dream about making a band and becoming famous. He had his
future mapped out. As he went on with his life, and the band, he had to re write and make minor
changes his future to become the person he dreamed of being and have the band he wanted. Bon Jovi
should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because they were a worldwide hit and
sold over 100 million records in several different countries, influenced many famous singers, and they
were massively successful and would be a huge hit at the induction... Show more content on

Owl Pellet Lab Report
Lab Report: Owl Pellet
Kirsten de Jong
September 19, 2015

1.An owl pellet is made up of portions of things which an owl can t digest. The pellet can contain
things like feathers, bones, fur, and teeth, these things have very little nutritional value to the owl.
These things are tightly formed together in the owl s stomach, which is then spit out by the owl
every 12 hours producing two every day.
2.Owl pellets are home and food for many different fungi and insects. Fumigation is the removal of
any small insects, germs, or other pests from a room or other area, with the use of gases or smoke.
It is necessary for the pellet to be fumigated so there is nothing growing inside of the pellet that
wasn t there when the owl had spit it out. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There would be major changes if the barn owl wasn t part of the food web. There would be many
more rodents and other pests in agricultural and forestry land, which would eventually become
overpopulated. God created a perfect world and if there was even one animal that wasn t part of an
ecosystem, there would be many species with overpopulation issues.
8.Bioconcentration is when tiny creatures capture chemicals from debris, which is a large source of
diseases, and water which are then devoured by large populations of zooplankton. Larger organisms
like my sides then eat the zooplankton, fish feed on the mysids, this continues until the herring
which is at the top of this food web. This can causes many diseases to spread over a period of time
from one creature to the next and possibly worsen. Bioaccumulation is when the matter of an
organism increases in concentration.
9.Owls can be seen as the most threatened of an ecosystem which is threatened by pesticides
because it is the highest trophic level in the food web. The higher the trophic level, the higher the
concentration of toxins in the species. There may be a tiny bit of pesticide in a plant which is then
eaten by a insect which is then eaten by a shrew. The shrew then gets more toxins, then giving the
owl which is at the top of the food web the most toxins causing it to become sick and die. Overall,
these pesticides in ecosystems can disturb food webs, ecosystems, and hurt
Grand Forks Research Paper
Poverty plagues the entire nation. People assume that the worst of poverty is in the midst of
heavily populated areas such as New York or California. What they don t realize is that poverty
rates in Grand Forks are worse than the average poverty rates in the entire nation. And it isn t just a
slight increase, povertyrates in Grand Forks County are 150% worse than the national average.
The poverty rates are ridiculous, yet there are only a few articles in the Grand Forks Herald that
actually focus on poverty. I researched through the Grand Forks Herald database and came up with
less than ten articles in the past 5 years that focused on poverty in the area. That s a maximum of ten
articles in 1,825 days. This report focuses on the effects that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

These images are constructed by what the media allows us to see and what people see on the
television. Popular television shows, such as Law Order, tend to use certain stereotypes like
welfare queens and crack whore mothers to portray the people living in poverty. The sympathy
for people in poverty skyrockets downward when it is known that they are using welfare. The
images that people have in their minds only get more stereotypical as they watch more television
and don t see anything else that would counteract these images. The media coverage plays a huge
role in forming an image in each person s head; therefore, the lack of coverage around Grand
Forks only leads the public to form stereotypes from fictional television shows. When there is a
lack of media coverage on poverty, there are dramatic effects on both the public as well as the
people living in poverty. The more people that ignore poverty, the more people fall into poverty.
When people ignore poverty, they start to ignore the programs that are used to help people in
poverty and then people have a harder time escaping poverty. Poverty also leads to increased crime
which in turn leads to a weaker
From Vergil s Georgics, Book I ( Trans
2. From Vergil s Georgics, book I (trans. A.S. Kline 2001) The Georgics is a poem in four books
by Latin poet Virgil. The subject of the poem is agriculture; but rather than be about idyllic rural
life, there is tension and difficulty. The title is a fitting one, as it is derived from the Greek word
georgika, which means agriculture (Perseus Project). The poem is on the subject of early man living
off the land, only to have Jupiter (The Roman name for Zeus) add considerably more difficulties in
rural life which in turn forces man to adapt or die. The reason for this being is that man must
develop skills to survive the harsh wilderness in order to become worthy inhabitants of the land
the gods gave them. Essentially, it is survival of the fittest. The poem is crafted with deliberate
tension. Of chief importance is the contribution of labour to the success or failure of mankind s
endeavors, agricultural or otherwise. The poem is didactic, and is composed in hexameters,
additionally the poem is modeled in a similar manner to Hesiod s Works and Days. Hesiod s poem
shares similar themes to Georgics, it emphasizes man s relationship with the land they live on and
the importance of hard work to ensure survival. Both poems are didactic, which is a way of writing
that emphasizes instructional and informative qualities. This comes as unsurprising as both writers
promote labour and emphasizes its importance for achieving a comfortable life. There
Ethics, Kantian, And Aristotelian Theory
Buddhist ethics, although likened to some Western ethical theories, is not in fact the same as those
theories. The most common Western theories it is compared with are; Utilitarianism, Kantian, and
Aristotelian. Specifically, Utilitarianism does not address the meaning of being a good person in its
definition of right action. Kant does not address the different classes as having different laws but
believes in one set of universal laws and Aristotle believes in the perfection of a self that does not
exist in Buddhism. These differences can be seen through the evaluation of how a person comes to
a decision about an ethical problem. The trolley cart problem presented by Philippa Foot. The
problem is making a decision between two options that both result in death. The first option results
in the death of one person but the saving of five people s lives. The second option would result in
the death of five people and the life of one. In the first option you are consciously interfering with an
event and changing that event in order to save lives. In the second option your action is inaction,
letting the event happen, and letting the five people die while the one person lives. Using
utilitarianism ethics, one would come to the conclusion that you must intervene and save the lives of
the five people while sacrificing the life of one person. This is because Utilitarianism is concerned
with actions that produce the greatest good for the greatest number. Deciding to kill the one
Maintaining A Good And Secure Network Across All Locations
Introduction

This proposal is made to meet the requirements of the Create LLC emerging company that has
locations in Houston, Dallas, and Los Angeles. Maintaining a good and secure network across all
locations is one of the important tasks. In order to accomplish the requirements of this company
there must be use of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS server, File Services, Remote Services
and Windows Server Update Service. These resources will be implemented having in mind that the
company will grow in the near future and accommodations on the implementation need to be made.

Active Directory

This company is going to have one main location in Houston and two other locations in Dallas and
Los Angeles. The Houston location is going to use corp.createllc.com, while the Dallas location is
going to use dallas.corp.createllc.com, and the Los Angeles location is going to use
losangeles.corp.createllc.com. This way all the locations are connected to each other, there can be
interaction between one location and the other one and authorized users are able to get information
needed from any location.

In order to monitor domain traffic, all locations are going to have domain controllers. This way
traffic will decrease and logon processes will be faster. The Houston location will use the Schema
Master and Domain Naming Master and 2 other domain controllers. Both the Houston and Dallas
locations will have a domain having the Relative ID master, infrastructure master and primary

Descriptive Essay On My Pet Dog
My Pet Lola My pet dog, Lola is a very interesting dog. We really don t know much about her, but we
still love her and take care of her. Our Lola is a rescued dog from the Romney Sport s Park. An old
couple found her under a car while my class was at the park because it was the last week of
school, and we went for all the things we have done in that grade. My mom came with us to
watch and supervise, when she found her on a leash by an old man. My mom wanted to know if
we could keep her if we came by later and he agreed that we could take her. It was that day on June
2, 2015 when we accepted her into the family! She has been a great addition to the family. The
veterinarian told us that she was about 2 to 3 years old at the time. Lola Lu is a... Show more content

The cool thing about her is that she is a schnauzer without the cut and average schnauzer. Her legs
are longer than the average schnauzer. They measure an exact 1 foot at the inch. We all found out
not too long ago that she likes to cuddle and hug you in the person who is holding her. She will
not mind, but she does not like it when you shut her mouth. Lola will squirm and will want to
leave you at that exact instant. A couple tricks we taught her are to sit and to go to her room when
it is bedtime or when we have to leave the house. She is still not trained to go pee on a piddle pad,
but that is a problem with all of our dogs, just as it is with pooing on the piddle pad. Lola loves to
play with people, but she really loves to play with our 1 year old French bulldog Oliver. The 2 of
them will chase each other around the house playing with each other for hours. When they get tired,
they like to sleep in a pouf together and will lay there for more hours than they ran around. Then it

Lisa Galina, PhD candidate Free International University of Moldova

ABSTRACT
Our society is constantly changing and these changes have an impact not only on our buying habits
and consumption but also on the hotel companies that must constantly adapt to meet new customer
requirements. When performing market research to determine customer loyalty strategy, hotel
marketers are often faced with questions that require application of both quantitative research
methods and deep knowledge coming from unstructured qualitative approaches. Subsequently, the
quantitative approach is used to design and test an instrument for web based service quality ... Show

The Boys In The Boat Analysis
In Part IV of The Boys in the Boat, Brown continues to elaborate on the challenges Ulbrickson and
the boys were facing to find a perfect boat. He finally makes the boat with the addition of Joe Rantz.
Now, Ulbrickson just needs to worry about Ebright s crew that seems to the press to be doing great.
Both universities race on Lake Washington and Washington sweeps the regatta. The boys now
needed to think about their next journey. If all went well, then they would not be back until
September(many months away). Washington recieved a magnificent sendofff to Poughkeepsie at the
train station. Here the author takes a moment to acknowledge a major event happening in sports.

He stopped to address the crowd s screams and chants. He showed how the officials from the Nazi
Party turned from happy throughout the race to immediate dissapointment at the end. The author
described the excitement that rushed into the stadium as the boats got into the view of the bigger
crowds. Washington s coaches had a horrible view until near the end of the race. Brown also
jumped back to Seatle. Joyce put her four leevedd cleaver on the radio for good luck. The
announcers were going crazy along with Bill Slater of NBC. Out on the water, coxswains were
blowing their heads off into the megaphones as the bigger crowds approached. Washington s stroke
oar, Don Hume, had gone unconsious. He finally woke up when Moch had thought all was lost.
Moch was about to give Joe the stroke and expect unconsious Hume to unconsuoisly take up the
stroke. Fortunately, that wasn t the case. Throughout the race Brown kept posting the standings of
the boats for the readers. He effectively updated the reader on each of the boats stroke rates.
Germany and Italy were consistently in or near the lead position. Japan burned its energy in the
beginning. Britain tested its prowess in the middle. America showed its courage at the end. At the
end of the race, I could feel my heart beating even though I knew the
Socioeconomic Inequality Essay
Universal basic income, (UBI), has become one our leading topics for a solution towards
socioeconomic inequality. Billionaires such as Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, have advanced
the idea of going through with UBI (Kaza, 2018). UBI tackles many diversity challenges our
society seriously needs solutions too. However, due to the enormity of UBI, it s important to
evaluate our decision to go forward; not only finically but ethically. For governments to implement a
UBI, it would take a major overhaul of their welfare and tax systems. For example, the United States
would need to spend over 3 trillion dollars a year just to provide a yearly distribution of $12,000
for each person over 18. This does not include illegal immigrants or the cost of running the program.
I will evaluate the potential effects and ethics of UBI on minority groups in three areas: gender
inequality, social conflict and the effects of automation on the work force.... Show more content on

Whether, it s the social norm of the wife having to take care of the kids after working a full day in
the office or not being paid the same as their male counterparts, inequality is forced upon women all
over the world. Women have continued to blur the lines and show whatever a man can do a woman
can do also. Can UBI be the final move to fix centuries of unequal treatment for women?
Manjarin and Szlinde (2016), uses Marxist philosophies to explain the current domination of owners
vs works. They state the implementation of a basic income will increase the conflict between
capitalist and the lower class. By giving basic income to everyone, it increases the economic power
the lower class has. Thus, they can unite their resources and be a formidable entity. They types of
conflicts can lead to rebellion and/or revolution. We need to evaluate whether the after effects of a
change in power balance is worth it or keeping the status quo is
Analysis Of The Journey Song Dont Stop Believin
The Journey song Don t Stop Believin is one of the band s most famous songs, and arguably their
magnum opus. However, the song itself goes deeper than its literal meaning, and tackles the theme
of finding your identity, following your dreams, and doing what you re passionate about. The name
of the song, Don t Stop Believin , follows its overall message and conveys it to listeners in a way
that they will understand its themes regardless of whether they are listening closely and trying to
break it down, or just singing along.

The first two stanzas read:

Just a small town girl
Livin in a lonely world
She took the midnight train
Goin anywhere

Just a city boy

Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train
Goin anywhere

The first two lines of each stanza, Just a small town girl / Livin in a lonely world (1.1 2) and Just a
city boy / Born and raised in South Detroit (2.1 2), describe two different people from two different
settings, who are supposedly united when they take the midnight train goin anywhere . The midnight
train referred to in each stanza might be symbolic for some common goal, or it might be more literal,
as two different people take a train in search of something new in their lives.

The third stanza reads:

A singer in a smoky room
The smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

The first two lines of this stanza, A singer in a smoky room / The smell of wine and cheap
