Teacher Philosophy as a Beginner Teacher

As a beginner teacher doing my internship at Norzagaray National High School - Senior High
School, I believe that teaching is not just about sharing knowledge, but also about inspiring
students. I want to create a classroom where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn.
I believe that every student has the ability to succeed if they are given the right support and
encouragement. I want to guide them not only in Physical Science and Pagbasa, but also in
building their confidence and love for learning.

In my teaching, I use patience, understanding, and creativity. I know that learning is different for
every student, so I try to explain lessons in a simple and clear way. I believe that a teacher should
be a good example by being kind, responsible, and hardworking. As I continue my internship, I
hope to grow better every day and become a teacher who makes a positive difference in the lives
of my students.

I also believe that learning should be fun and meaningful. In Physical Science, I try to connect
lessons to real-life situations so that students can see the importance of what they are studying. In
Pagbasa, I encourage my students to enjoy reading and understand the power of words. I want
my classroom to be a place where students are excited to discover new ideas every day. As a
beginner teacher, I am still learning, but I am passionate and committed to doing my best for my
students.

I view mistakes as opportunities for growth, both for my students and for myself. I believe in
fostering a growth mindset, where perseverance, effort, and curiosity are celebrated. I also
believe in the importance of collaboration and active learning — students learn better when they
are engaged, involved, and given the chance to express themselves. Ultimately, I see teaching not
just as the delivery of knowledge, but as the building of character, confidence, and a lifelong
love for learning. I hope to inspire my students not only to succeed academically, but also to
become kind, responsible, and critical thinkers who will make positive contributions to the
world.

Experience and Reflection

My experience as a student teacher has been both challenging and rewarding. Being assigned at
Norzagaray National High School – Senior High School gave me the opportunity to put into
practice everything I had learned during my studies. I taught Grade 11 students from different
strands: HUMSS B, TVL A, TVL C, and GAS A, handling two subjects, Physical Science and
Pagbasa.

Each class brought unique experiences. The students were active, respectful, and eager to learn,
which made teaching both enjoyable and fulfilling. I learned how to create and adjust lesson
plans according to the diverse needs of my learners, manage classroom behavior, and respond to
real-life classroom situations. Although it was not always easy, every challenge became an
opportunity for me to grow and gain confidence in my teaching skills.

One significant highlight of my journey was my demo teaching with 11 HUMSS A under the
supervision of my cooperating teacher, Ma’am Lara Mhay B. Maningas. At first, I was very
nervous, but through careful preparation and encouragement from my mentors, I was able to
deliver my lesson effectively. The students’ engagement and participation helped boost my
confidence during the demo. Ma’am Maningas provided constructive feedback that guided me in
improving my teaching methods and classroom strategies.

Reflecting on this experience, I realized the deep importance of patience, effective

communication, and building strong relationships with students. Teaching is not just about
delivering lessons, but about inspiring and connecting with young minds. One of the most
heartwarming moments was seeing my students smile and say "thank you" after class—it
reminded me of the true joy and purpose of being a teacher.

I am deeply grateful for the guidance of my cooperating teacher, the support of my classmates
and mentors, and the cooperation of my students. Overall, my student teaching experience
strengthened my passion for education and made me even more excited to become a full-time
teacher in the future. It has taught me that teaching is a continuous journey of learning,
reflection, and growth—one that I am eager to embrace wholeheartedly.
Professional readings

I believe reading research is very important for teachers. One study by Hattie (2009) showed that
teachers who keep learning and reflecting can have a big impact on their students’ success. As a
practice teacher, I experienced this myself.

When I started teaching, I read articles about classroom management and student engagement.
One article explained that building strong relationships with students helps them learn better. I
used this idea in my classroom. I made sure to greet my students warmly every day and listen to
their concerns. I noticed that when students felt respected, they behaved better and participated
more in class.

I also read about different teaching strategies. For example, Vygotsky’s theory of the “zone of
proximal development” taught me that students learn best when the work is just a little bit
challenging, but not too hard. I used this by giving tasks that matched my students’ abilities, with
just enough support. Because of this, I saw many students improve their confidence and skills.

Reading research helped me understand why certain methods work. It also helped me feel more
confident when planning my lessons. I realized that good teaching is not just about following a
textbook — it is about knowing my students and using proven strategies to help them grow.

In the future, I will continue to read professional studies and apply them to my teaching, because
I have seen how it makes a real difference in the classroom.

Dedication

" Championing Education: A Dedication to teaching and Learning"

Education is the key to a brighter future. As a teacher, I dedicate myself to inspiring and guiding
students on their learning journey. My mission is to help them discover their strengths, overcome
challenges, and unlock their full potential. Education is not just about passing exams; it’s about
shaping minds and preparing individuals to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Every student is unique, with different backgrounds, talents, and dreams. I believe in creating a
classroom where each student feels valued and supported. By recognizing their individuality, I
can tailor my teaching to meet their needs and encourage their growth. My goal is to provide a
safe, inclusive space where every learner can express themselves and learn at their own pace.

The process of learning is not always easy, but it is always worth it. I am dedicated to making
learning enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful. Whether through interactive lessons, hands-on
activities, or open discussions, I strive to make every lesson an opportunity for discovery and
growth. Learning should be an exciting adventure, and I want to be there to guide my students
every step of the way.

As a teacher, I know that my influence extends beyond the classroom. The lessons I teach today
can inspire a lifelong love for learning in my students. I hope to instill in them a sense of
curiosity and the belief that learning never stops. No matter where their journeys take them, I
want them to know that they have the tools to continue growing and adapting to the world
around them.

Ultimately, championing education is about more than just teaching facts; it’s about fostering
critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong passion for learning. I dedicate myself to this mission,
knowing that through education, I can help my students build a better future for themselves and
for the world.
Final Demonstration Teaching

. .

As I prepare for my final demo, I feel a bit nervous because I’m going to teach a new class, 11
HUMSS A. It’s my first time meeting them, and I want to make a good impression. I know that
it’s natural to feel this way, but I also remind myself that this is an opportunity to show what I’ve
learned as a student teacher. I want to connect with the students, make them feel comfortable,
and create a positive learning environment.
Even though I feel anxious, I’m excited about the chance to teach and interact with a new group
of students. I’ve worked hard to prepare for this moment, and I trust that I will be able to manage
the situation. I hope that by staying focused and confident, I can turn my nervousness into energy
that will help me give my best performance and help the students learn.

My panelists for the final demo are Ma'am

Jeanette, Ma'am Lara, and Ma'am Sharon. I
feel both nervous and excited to have them
observe my teaching. They are experienced
and knowledgeable, and I hope to learn from
their feedback. I want to show them that I am
ready to take on the responsibilities of
teaching and that I am prepared to provide a
meaningful learning experience for the
students. Their guidance and advice will be
invaluable to me as I continue to grow as an
educator.

Team Senior High, we did it! After all the hard work, preparation, and dedication, we’ve reached
this moment together. It wasn’t always easy, but we supported each other every step of the way,
and now we’re ready to take on this new challenge. I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished
as a team, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes us. This is just the beginning, and I
know we’ll continue to grow and succeed together.
