Inplementing Accounting Analysis
1. How does PPLS create value for its customers? What are the critical risks that it has to manage
well? 2. How did the pre 1995 commission formula work? Why do you think the company
changed its policy? 3. Based on the post 1995 commission formula and information in the case on
pricing and commission rates, calculate the cash inflows for premiums and cash outflows for
commissions for years 1 to 3 that would arise from the sign up of 1000 new members at the
beginning of year 1. Assume that: (a) actual member renewal rates are 75% for both years 2 and 3,
and (b) 25% of recoverable commission advances in each of years 2 and 3 are expected to prove
uncollectible. 4. How does Pre Paid Legal account for the transactions described in... Show more

As a result, lawyers have incentives to provide a higher quality service (by billing for additional
time) than their clients would like. PPLS service changes lawyers incentives. Under the closed
panel plan, lawyers receive a flat fee per client, and have little incentive to spend excessive hours
providing higher quality services to their clients. Under the open plan, PPLS monitors attorney
billing to ensure that it is appropriate. In both cases PPLS has provided incentives for lawyers to
internalize the costs of providing legal services and to manage billable hours. PPLS s approach is
again similar to that provided by the use of capitation fees for doctors by HMOs in the health
industry to change doctors incentives for performing additional tests on patients. Screen lawyers
for clients. It is costly for clients to screen lawyers to decide which lawyer to hire. PPLS does this
for its clients. What are the business risks for PPLS? Students are quickly able to see that PPLS
faces an adverse selection problem. Yet the company presumably prices its service on the premise
that it will attract a broad range of clients who expect that they may need to use legal services at
some unknown point and want to insure these costs. However, they do not know when they will
need to use the service. Students will point out that this model does not work if the company attracts
California Drought Research Paper
California has always been the Golden State, the state that everyone wants to live in. Californians
are supposed to have everything that they want and for the most part that is exactly what they ve
gotten. However, recently all people hear about California is their huge summer water droughts.
California has been in an extreme drought for the past four years, and some people are stating that
this may be the worst arid spell in 1,200 years. The land never fully recovers from any land
disaster, like the Dust Bowl during the Great Depression. Californians new green is brown, and it
will continue until whenever there is a normal rain year. Parts of Californiaonly have a year of water
supply left. Their reservoirs are diminishing quickly,
Walker Art Center Research Paper
So what exactly is the Walker Art Center? The Walker Art Center is a contemporary art center in
MInneapolis Minnesota. It was established in 1927 and it is also one of the most visited museums
in the United States. For this paper I was assigned to visit the Walker Art Center and choose one
piece of art to write an essay about. It was my first time going to the Walker Art Center and I found
myself in amazement with the all the artwork there. I examined many pieces and found the piece Do
womanhave to be naked to get into the Met. Museum ? By the Guerrilla girls the most compelling. I
found this piece compelling because it was the only one that caught my eye since it was one of the
few that represents feminismand equality for women and minorities.... Show more content on

First of all I started with the subject matter of the artwork. What I saw the subject matter to be
was the woman with the gorilla mask on because it is what catches the audience attention, and it
was also the most detailed aspect in the artwork. The rest was is bolded words and blanket the
woman lays on. The poster is also an example of postmodern art. Next, the medium of this artwork
is screen printed on a poster. The Form of this image is huge. When I saw it at the Walker Center
in the section of the Guerilla girls it was the biggest of them all. The others were fairly small and
put next to each other but this one in particular was by itself and much bigger than the rest. The
context about this poster is that you see a woman that is naked and she wears a gorilla mask
which represents the guerrilla girls. She also covers her private parts to get the point across that
is stated in bold letters that is also the title of the artwork which says Do woman have to be naked
to get into the Met. Museum ? In other words, the naked woman s private parts being covered is
not a coincidence but instead it is the artist s way of telling people how naked woman are often
used in artwork and it s not fair. The poster gets even more descriptive with the smaller bolder words
in the image that state Less than 5% of the artist

Circle Of Willis Research Paper
The circle of Willis is a circular collection of blood vessels, which is formed when the blood flows
from the internal carotid artery and enters into the cranial cavity bilaterally. Once blood circulates
into the brain, it divides into the anterior cerebral artery and middle cerebral artery. The anterior
cerebral arterysupplies bloodto the medial surface of the frontal and parietal blobs, while the middle
cerebral supplies the lateral portions of the hemispheres and through branches that supply internal
structures such as basal ganglia and internal capsule. As the blood branches out into these structures,
the anterior cerebral arteries are connected to the anterior communicating artery. These connections
form the anterior half of the circle
Grendel And Beowulf Comparison
Beowulf and Grendel are two well written pieces of literature that feature a monster like figure and
his struggle to overcome his urge to kill. Based on the passages read, the poem and book feature the
same basic plot line. However, the stories reflection of the main character show both similarities and
differences due to Beowulfs third person point of view compared to Grendels first person point of
view. Ultimately, the change of perspective between the two stories does not not impact the outer
appearance of Grendel, but rather the inner personality.
The two excerpts introduce us to the main character Grendel, who is displayed as a monster on the
outside. Both passages give some deep insight on the character developed throughout

If this happened I would first warn the player to slow down with their messages and, if the player
continued to spam I would mute them for 5 minutes and if they continue 10 then 15 and if they

link seeing where it leads and how it acts when I clicked in then if I saw the link to be a problem I
would report it to a higher staff that could deal with the issue. The same for inappropriate links I
would report them to higher staff to deal with the player how they see fit. For staff disrespect, I

1. Is it possible to be successful as a student affairs practitioner without relevant knowledge of
theories that inform your work. If so, what are the limitations? Feel free to disagree with a cogent
argument.
I personally don t think it is possible to be successful as a student affairs practitioner without relevant
knowledge of theories that inform your work. While reading, I found it interesting that there has
been some contention in the field about the value of theory. One example I found stated that, their
argument was not about whether theory is good or bad; instead, they argued that student
development theory had limited utility in it s application to the daily practice (p. 44).
While I agree that student affairs theories can sometimes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What are the unique areas expertise that student affairs practitioners bring to the learning enterprise
in the academy? Draw from your own experience.
I think the beauty of student affairs is that each individual practitioner brings their own
experiences. During my time at Appalachian as an undergraduate student I was involved in Greek
life and the Honors College. I wasn t even aware that student affairs was a field until six months
before I graduated. Even though the Honors College doesn t appear to directly link, I was able to
learn about different advising styles without realizing it. I never went to a general advisor, which
makes my experience different from many other students here.
Additionally, student affairs practitioners often bring expertise from practice. I don t know of
many other graduate programs that gives you as many opportunities for hands on learning as ours
does. In my opinion, this gives us a leg up because we ve been practicing for two years in addition to
learning in a
