Limitless Movie Essay
Limitless is a 2011 American science fiction thriller film directed by Neil Burger, starring Bradly
Cooper, Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro. The film is based on the novel The dark Fields by Alan
Glynn. Following the release of the film, a television series of the same name was also made.
In short words: Limitless is about Eddie s adventures after his ex brother in law gave him a pill
that suddenly puts his entire brain online. It gives him superpowers unlike any other human. What
he does with his received powers is extreme and brutal. In the film, we follow Eddie, who is in a
desperate situation after he has come to believe that the pills will be able to solve all his problems.
Limitless shows the character Eddie Morra, portrayed by Bradly Cooper, as a disaster and no hoper
suffering from writer`s block. He was once a promising author, but by drinking and goofing off, his
first novel conserved to be an idea with the publisher. His girlfriend Lindy, played by Abbie ... Show

We come to learn the different aspects of Eddie Morra s personality. The messy, trashy and
impossible Eddie on the one hand, and the womanizer and the king of Wall Street, on the other. It
allows us to compare the man who hit rock bottom and the man who has everything he ever
wanted. In my opinion, I think the film was exciting, but also a bit to dramatized when seeing
what the drug could do to a person. With this, I mean the actions Eddie performed. At the same
time, I also liked it because it showed another part of humanity; where humans are limitless. What
one with only one pill could do in 30 seconds, as opposed to what a person with normal brain
function would have to work for from scratch, was quite astonishing. The film also pointed out that
with the right knowledge, you earn a whole stash of money and an exceptional role in society. In
other words, the NZT pill could make anyone succeed in
Satire In The Importance Of Being Earnest By Oscar Wilde
In The Importance of Being Earnest , satirical techniques are used to reveal many aspects of
social criticism made by Oscar Wilde. Class, education, gender, marriage, and religion are all
topics that Wilde mentions. The largest criticism however, is on marriage, and how it is not
taken seriously, and how people do not love each other in them. Wilde uses the technique of
reversal to portray how people in marriages are dissatisfied with each other. When talking with
jack, Algernon expresses his opinion on marriage: Divorces are made in heaven. (Wilde, 30)
Algernon s comment shows he thinks when people are married, it s a burden. Wilde uses reversal
here and also puts a play on the words. Instead of a match made in heaven , Divorces are made...

When talking to Algernon for the first time, Cecily thinks his name is Ernest. When he asks if
she would love him if his name was different, her response was : I might respect you Ernest, I
might admire your character, but I fear I should not be able to give you my undivided attention.
(Wilde, 76) Incongruity shows how ridiculous Cecily s values are. If she is concerned about a
name to determine if someone is a good person to love, how could it possibly be a serious love?
Incongruity is also used later in that same conversation, when Algernon is leaving and Cecily
says, Considering that we have been engaged since February the 14th and that I only met you
today for the first time, I think it is rather hard that you should leave me for so long a period as
half an hour. (Wilde, 77) Cecily and Algernon had been engaged for three months but they only met
once. That tells a story about how seriously they are taking their engagement and soon to be,
marriage. Which seems to be not so seriously, since one of them doesn t even know the others real
name when they meet. Although they do not seem to be serious about it, Algernon and Cecily seem
to be going through with the marriage, and when Lady Bracknell finds out her nephews fiancé has a
fortune of A hundred and thirty thousand pounds! ,she thinks Miss Cardew seems to me a most

The Current Legal Drinking Age
In today s American society, the consumption of alcohol is commonly practiced. It is quite
uncommon for one to attend a social event where the presence of alcohol is obsolete. However,
society has deemed it fit to tell our youth that they are not allowed to participate in the traditional
social pastime of drinking until they reach the age of 21. Hence, when they encounter methods
around this predicament and most of them do young adults often participate in the reckless
consumption of alcohol in large quantities.
II.Thesis: Essentially, the most obvious way to resolve this societal flaw is to lower the minimum
legal drinking age and to commence educating our youth about mature alcohol use sooner.
III.Credibility: Like many others, I have directly been affected by the minimum drinking age in one
way or another, and I have done extensive research on this topic to show the effects it has and how it
can be changed.
IV.Preview: This afternoon, I will discuss the current legal drinking age, today s generation, and the
potential resolutions to underage drinking problems.
Body
I.Main Point 1: In response to the drunk driving epidemic, which was brought to attention by MADD
(Mothers Against Drunk Driving), President Ronald Reagan passed the Minimum Drinking Age Act
in July of 1984.
a.Sub Point: According to the Alcohol Policy Information System, the 1984 National Minimum
Drinking Age Act requires that States prohibit persons under 21 years of age from purchasing or

Did Martha Washington significantly impact the people in her life and also the people of the

way men were? What is significant about her as a person? Martha Washington was a significant
role in both her children s and husband s life as well as during the war. Martha helped her
husband during the war as well as helped the soldiers during the cold, harsh winter. Martha was the
first ever First Lady since she was married to the First President, and she is also considered to be
one of the founding mothers of the United States. Martha was married twice, was very wealthy, and

Theme Of Lamb To The Slaughter
The motif of the lamb leg within Lamb to the Slaughter , by Roald Dahl, contributes to the
development of the story by embolizing Mrs. Maloney s facade of innocence, which in turn
strengthen the moral dilemma of either turning herself in as a criminal risking her child s life or
to continue living as a metaphoric lamb leg with the benefit of allowing her to raise her child
without fear. Starting with why the lamb leg emblemizes Mrs. Maloney s facade of innocence, one
must first look at what a lamb by itself denotes, then narrow down and look at the meaning of a
lamb leg. In regard to denotation, a lamb leg is the young offspring of a sheep. But what lambs
embody within society is innocence. However, moving along, a lamb leg on the other hand... Show

After the murder of Mr. Maloney is done, she strays even further from the path of the lamb when
she creates an artificial alibi by going through extreme lengths to protect her child from harm,
which can seen within text. Her first step to create her artificial alibi was going to the grocery
after the murder. Before going, she rehearse[s] [her smiles and dialogue] several times (Roald 3).
By rehearsing, she keeps her appearance as a lovely housewife when conversing with the
shopkeeper; maintaining her appearance and using her innocent semblance as her tool for
manipulation. Afterwards, when the police arrive at the scene of murder due to Mrs. Maloney s
call, she manipulates the officers by setting setting the mood of sorrow and despair while she sob[s]
(Roald 4) over the phone and conversing with the officers, then she manipulates the officers by using
the artificial alibi she created while shopping for groceries, and further manipulates the officers by
clouding their judgement with whisky. Mrs. Maloney s reason for manipulation can be inferred
when she questions what happens to the unborn child of a murder on the third page, which further
infers that when Mrs. Maloney puts all her effort into deceiving the officers, it wasn t for her
Jamaica Kincaid s Girl
In the essay Girl by Jamaica Kincaid there are references to many social problems that were
prevalent earlier in society that still apply to today s society. In this essay the author is giving
advice to her teenage daughter where she teachers her the proper etiquette and what was expected of
a woman in her view. In this story the author Kincaid seems to be the motherand the teenage
daughter is probably her daughter, in a different way of viewing she may be the daughter herself
reflecting on the past, but it s not very relevant to the meaning of the literature. In this essay I will
explain how the way women are viewed in today s society have changed, as well as what remains of
the past that has yet to be overcome. I will also try and analyze and give my theory as to why
Kincaid decided to write her story the way she did.
The main cultural issue this story focuses on is women s right and how they re viewed in society.
Earlier in society as well as in third world countries women play a more home wife lifestyle which ...

Comparison Of Banquo And Fleance
The sun began to set on the hills and darkness crept across the land. It was not just the darkness of
night coming, it was also from black clouds that were invading the sky. A strong wind started
blowing and lighting started to flash across the sky. In that very moment , Fleance and Banquo felt
threatened. The stormwas a warning about danger to their lives. Banquo and Fleance decided to
return back to the castle which was like a dark mountain in the distance. They rode quickly but
because of the strong windand the amount of lightning going around Banquo and Fleance, the horses
got tired very easily.
Fleance looked very pale. He was young, only about fifteen and was not used to the sounds of
battle raging in the sky. But Banquo on the other hand was a soldier who had seen many wars.
The explosions of thunder and flashes of lightening did not scare him. He looked at Fleance with a
comforting solid bright stare. The flaming sphere had completely disappeared from Banquo and
Fleance s sight when suddenly three men riding a horse as fast as the wind came rushing towards
them. When the three men got closer they stopped. Fleance and Banquo was relieved because they
looked like normal civilians who had come to help them get back to the castle.

Fleance looked back and could see their knives glinting hungrily behind him. One of the murderers
prepared to stab Fleance with his knife. But Fleance was saved by a hand from heaven. Lightening
hit a tree near the murderers and they fell from their horses. Fleance was safe and road away into the
Interview Questions for Labor Relations Office Manager
Labor Relations Office Manager Human Resources Department Interview
The objective of this work in writing is to conduct an interview with a labor relations office
manager in the HR department of a company. For this purpose, the following questions were posed
and answers provided.
Question What is the role of the labor relations manager and their staff in regards to the industrial
relations labor pogrom?
Answer When a collective bargaining agreement is up for negotiation, labor relations specialists
prepare information for management to use during negotiation, which requires familiarity with
economic and wage data as well as extensive knowledge of labor law and collective bargaining
trends. The labor relations staff interprets and administers the contract with respect to grievances,
wages and salaries, employee welfare, health care, pensions, union and management practices, and
other contractual stipulations. As union membership is continuing to decline in most industries,
industrial relations personnel are working more with employees who are not members of a labor
union. (Heathfield, 2011)
Question What is the domain of the labor relations manager in the company?
Answer The labor relations role is typically making provision of advise to managers in regards to
labor relations issues that arise in their areas of responsibility. The workforce in this company is
comprised by employees represented by unions and other employees who are not union represented

Why Is Blood Important In Macbeth
Karma
Imagine being so absorbed with greed and desire that murder is the only way to satisfy those
needs but instead of ending up enjoying those new gains, guilt and sorrow is all that comes to
mind. This is exactly what happens to Macbeth, in William Shakespeare s play Macbeth where the
use of figurative language like powerful verbs, imagery, hyperbole and metaphor related to blood
and sleep, helps to establish the association of Macbeth s actions to their consequences: self
awareness and continual suffering from the guilt.
Through the use of a powerful verb, hyperbole and sight imagery, Macbeth strengthens the effect of
blood related to the idea that his action will awaken from his desires, self awareness and guilt.
Deeply rooted with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The blood is a symbol for the guilt Macbeth feels towards his misconduct. The sight of the bloody
hands are said to pluck out his eyes and this powerful verb suggests that is forceful, compelling
and sudden. The blood serves as a revelation for Macbeth and that he is now finally aware of what
a grave mistake he has made. Sequentially, Macbeth exaggerates that not even something as large
as Neptune s vast oceans can wash the blood off his hands. Even if he can wash the actual blood
off his hands, no amount of water, which is a symbol for regeneration, can free him of his enormous
guilt. Also, The imagery of the blood turning the oceans pink implies that instead of the ocean
cleansing and purifying Macbeth of his regret, the amount of guilt he feels is enough to overpower
and dirty the whole ocean. It will spread and corrupt not only him but everything he touches and the
world around him, which is represented as Neptune s oceans. This means that the because of the
enormity of his guilt, the guilt cannot be eliminated. Therefore, as a result of murdering Duncan,
Macbeth is consumed with guilt and this is demonstrated through a powerful verb, hyperbole and
sight imagery all relating to
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound ( Hifu ) Therapy System,...
ABSTRACT In High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) therapy system, electrical impedance
matching networks should be used between the ultrasound transducer and signal generator in order
to maximize the electrical power transmission. Impedance matching networks are designed based on
LC resonant networks and that can be analyzed by analytical design theory and smith chart design
technique. Graphical method using smith chart is adapted to understand the concept. The reflective
power should be reduced after successfully matching the electrical circuit. However, the problem
with our case, HIFU transducer has been observed with significant amount of reflective during LC
matching network; that reflective power has to be reduced as much as possible. In order to eliminate
reflective power we tried transformer matching instead of LC network and we are getting desired
output. Even after that, we are getting slightly change over working resonance frequency which is
not optimum for highly focused ultrasound transducer application or any other application. However,
if we propose broadband matching network for transducer matching then we can increase the range
of working frequency and we can compensate that problem. To conclude, transmission power can be
increased by implementing broadband electrical matching networks. In this paper, I discuss the
characteristics and different applications of piezoelectric material and how matching is an important
to observe the behavior of

the water. What many people don t know is that they are swimming in the most populated zone in
the ocean. Because most people have not heard of the sunlight zone, they should read about the
history of the organisms, plants, and animals that live in the sunlight zone. The sunlight zone is
called four different types of names. In scientific terms, it is called the Euphotic zone and the
Epipelagic zone. The typical name for this zone is the sunlight zone and the sunlit zone. The
