Medieval Warfare Times and Society
Battle and warfare in middle ages forced Transformation of warfare tactics of the cavalry and

Up until this time period, there was no meeting and strategizing to prepare for battles. During the

Nursing Home With Stage IIi Lymphoma
I grew up on a farm that was half an hour from town. We never went to the emergency room. We
never went to the doctor. We learned to patch ourselves up with whatever we had, so I had never
even seen a nurse in action until I was sixteen and my Grandmother was in a nursing home with
stage III Lymphoma. The nursing home was near where I worked and so at lunch time a couple
times of week I would go and read to her. At the time, I didn t focus on the wonderful people
taking care of her, however I remember friends and family coming to see my Grandmother and
they would talk very loudly to her and some times she wouldn t even respond. Whereas, I and the
nurses could sit right next to her bed and in a normal voice have a conversation with her and she
never had trouble hearing us. During these discussions she would express to the nurses how
wonderful they were and what a noble thing they were doing by helping take care of people in
need. She always told me that the two most important professions were nurses and teachers. This
experience taught me that my most important goal is to always treat people as a whole person not
just a disease or condition. To take the time to listen and understand what they are need. My second
goal is to learn something new everyday to make myself a successful nurse. Third, I want to continue
to help and serve the community by continuing to create and implement centers of excellence in
contact allergies and urticaria.
It is my belief that
Millersburg Case Brief
MILLERSBURG After the victim of an a December assault recanted significant details of the
event, her boyfriend on Thursday pleaded guilty to reduced and limited charges. Kyle Miller, 24,
of 11976 Dover Road, Apple Creek, pleaded guilty in Holmes County Common Pleas Court to a
reduced charge of domestic violence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. In exchange for his
guilty plea, the state agreed to dismiss a related charge of felonious assault and reduced the
domestic violence charge, enhanced because she was pregnant at the time, from a fifth degree
felony to a first degree misdemeanor. While Miller had initially faced up to eight years in prison,
he now faces up to one year in jail for the charges to which he pleaded guilty. Sentencing is

she caused her own injuries, the woman, Samantha G. Lyons, 24, of 618 S. Washington St.,

The charge, a first degree misdemeanor, is punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000

the situation involving Lyons, explaining, When she changes the operative fact that was the
underlying element of the felonious assault, it warrants a (falsification) charge. She clearly caused
the injury to herself if we are to believe her, said Warner, continuing, There is a single wound, and,

Types Of Standards And Protocols In Computer Network Systems
The documented agreements with precise criteria are standards. It stipulates how a product or
service should be designed or performed. Standards form the fundamental building blocks for a
product by establishing consistent protocols which can be globally adopted and accepted. For a
device to communicate over a computer network, standards and protocols gives rules that helps the
hardware and software to work together. There are different standards like ANSI, IEEE etc.The
advantage of TDM is as follows:
(i)When multiplexed between the signals there is low intrusion.
(ii)There is bandwidth savings.
(iii) TDM provide more flexibility and efficiency, by dynamically allocating more time periods to the
signals which need more bandwidth, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Latter Amendments Essay Draft As Ruth Bader Ginsburg once said, The greatest threat to
public confidence in elections in this case is the prospect of enforcing a purposefully discriminatory
law, one that likely imposes an unconstitutional poll tax and risks denying the right to vote to
hundreds of thousands of eligible voters (Ruth Bader Ginsburg Quote). To elaborate, the Twenty
Fourth Amendment forbids any government from making voters pay poll tax, money, or a fee to
vote in any election. This opens up the right to vote to many more American citizens of any
ethnicity or gender. To justify, a poll tax was a tax that was simply just paid for living in a taxed

Toombs was known for his unfair practices to the African races, and usually if a white person
could not afford to pay their poll tax, he was also known to buy their vote and pay the tax for
them. Months after the Civil War ended, some Constitutional amendments were passed helping
black rights and giving them the freedom to vote. Southerners were afraid of all this new political
power towards the Negroes, so they did whatever they could to limit that power, and made it nearly
impossible for Negroes to vote with the new laws they passed. With the Ku Klux Klan being formed
and more discriminatory acts to interfere with black voting rights, it was not until the civil rights
movements of the 1950 s and 1960 s until the amendment was finally brought up, almost a century
later. During the Ku Klux Klan era, southerners passed laws to limit the power of African
Americans, otherwise known as black codes. They did whatever they could to limit the black s
freedom, even with such small things like requiring them to use a different water fountain or, even
bigger, forcing them to pay an unreasonable poll tax to vote. With the rise of civil rights acts
though, it became harder and harder to limit their power, and in the middle of 1962 when Congress
proposed the amendment to require no fee to vote, southerners knew that this was more of the
beginning of racial movements and equal rights to all.
Summary Of John Burgoyne s Life After The Revolutionary War
Following the Battle of Princeton fighting simmered down until the summer of 1777. General John
Burgoyne s plan to cut New England off from the rest of the colonies, involved Major General Sir
William Howe meeting him at Albany. Howe changed his plans and decided to attack the American
capital, Philadelphia before reaching Albany. Instead of marching his 15,000 troops through New
Jersey, he sailed his army on ships to Chesapeake Bay. General George Washingtonheard word of
Howe s intentions and marched his army to Chadd s Ford.
Washington placed his troops along Brandywine Creek to guard most of the fords. Sir William
Howe created a strategy to trick Washington, involving the movement of his troops to give the
appearance of a British attempt
Religion vs. Philosophy
Religion Term Paper
Philosophy and Religion
An Idea is more powerful than an army (pg 14, Munroe).

When first looking at the relationship between philosophy and religion, I found it easier to explain
the differences rather than the similarities. I began this paper the same way I do others. This
generally involves a profound amount of research on the topic at hand. However, in contrast to the
other papers I have done, the definitions of philosophy and religion only raised more questions for
me. It was fascinating how the explanations differed dramatically from author to author.
I will begin this paper by reciting some of the definitions that I did find.
The simplest definition states, In many cultures and times, religion has ... Show more content on

To challenge someone s philosophy is considered a reasonable and almost scientific thing to do, but
to challenge someone s religion can instigate hostile and sometimes violent reactions.
A very good example of how violent and atrocious religious hatred can be is that of the Holocaust.
The Holocaust, which appropriately means sacrifice by fire, was the horrific annihilation of six
million Jews by the Nazi regime during World War II. Around 1933 an estimated nine million
Jewish people were killed for no other reason but because of their religious belief. Children were
no exception either. Even though it is not entirely clear how many children were murdered or died
in concentration camps, historians guess that it could be as high as 1.5 million. Adolf Hitler was
the Chancellor of Germany and leader of the Nazi Regime and what began as a very strong
philosophical belief of his turned into the slaughter of millions of Jews.
The Holocaust, while one of mankind s worst acts, was unfortunately not the first nor the last
horrific act to be done that was based on religious focuses and ideas. Appalling acts such as
massacres, mass executions or suicides can all be linked back to specific religious backgrounds.
Underneath the noticeable effect of human lives lost is the undeniable loss of peace that human s
originally craved when seeking out their religion in the first place. It appears to me that in many
cases a strong opinion or idea can be developed
Quantum Mechanics Made Easy Analysis
In The Garden of Forking Paths by Jorge Luis Borges, a Chinese man named Yu Tsun is obligated to
spy for the German Leader. Yu Tsun wants to kill a man named Stephen Albert to reveal a crucial
location of the war. In Quantum Mechanics Made Easy, Sean Carroll explains the Many Worlds
Theory of quantum mechanics to explore how the world is governed. The theory describes a
universal wave function that includes all possible outcomes from any actions that occur. This means
that there are many worlds that exist that host every single event, so events that do not happen in one
world occur in some other world. Although Yu Tsun seems to be motivated by his desire to prove
himself, he really kills Stephen Albert because he learns of the many worlds theory. Carroll s text
supplements the idea that Yu Tsun essentially experiences the many worlds theory of quantum
mechanics through intuition. He does not know the concrete definition of quantum mechanics, but
he learns that there are infinite outcomes and many worlds in which all events occurs. What he does
not do today will occur in another world, so he wholeheartedly kills Albert with utmost care. Thus,
although it seems like Yu... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I know that it was a terrible thing to do. I did not do it for Germany and he even expresses disgust
at Germany because they forced me to the ignominy of spying (Borges, 120 121). Yu Tsun is
angry, but he still helps Germany. He is somehow blatantly ready to kill despite being so fearful
before. Yu Tsun even introduces a direct statement about his motives saying, I did it because I
sensed that the Leader looked down on the people of my race. I wanted to prove to him that a
yellow man could save his armies (Borges, 121). Tsun was thinking about the problem at hand and
described why he wanted to help the German Leader. He wants to preserve his honor and prove the
German Leader wrong. These contrasting viewpoints demonstrates that Yu Tsun is
Strategic And Financial Objectives Of Sainsbury
Investment Ratios:
Sainsbury s 2013 report states that maintaining a strong / efficient capital base will be key to
fulfilling their strategic and financial objectives. This is basically the shareholder s initial equity
/ monies used to buy shares in the business plus any retained earnings. The capital base is a useful a
benchmark for measuring returns relative to initial outlay investment (Investopedia, 2014).
Sainsbury s manages its capital structure by buying/selling capital, issuing additional shares or
buying back shares, varying its debt portfolio, adapting dividend payment schedules and leasing
capital (land/property).
Earning targets involve covering the underlying earnings for the ordinary dividend at a minimum of
1.5 times and increasing cover in the medium term to 2 times.
The Dividend Payout Ratio shows Sainsbury s holding quite a consistent return for shareholders.

Evidence that the situation is recovering somewhat is the published increase in profit of 708.33% to

Persuasive Essay On Community College
Every semester there is a fight to find a parking space on campus. I began Northshore Technical

rapidly, Northshore relocated the business department to the North campus of Southeastern
Louisiana University campus in the spring of 2016. There is limited parking for freshmen. The
parking area, we can use is assigned to the overflow of the upper classmen. Even though driving a
car to campus is convenient, riding a bicycle to school is a more practical option for some
commuter college students since of the amount of parking spaces available to students are limited.
Parking is not only an issue for Southeastern Louisiana University, consequently is also a problem
for the majority of other colleges. According to, a journalist from California with the East Bay

Locating a parking spot throughout the day on Southeastern s campus is on occasion impossible. If
I decide to leave campus after my first class at eight in the
The Performance Based Budgeting And The Approach Of...
Hoover Performance Budgeting
Performance based budgeting refers to the approach of allocating funds that link measured results
with policy decisions. It focuses on results and outcomes of programs rather than on the cost of
inputs. It facilitates greater and more scientific accountability for outcomes. Fund allocation is
prioritised based on a program s ability to achieve goals.
Legislative Analyst s Office [1] defines performance based budget as:
... the allocation of resource based on an expectation of performance levels, where performance is
measured in specific, meaningful terms. It differs from the traditional approach to budgeting in that
it focusses on outcomes rather than on inputs or processes. [1]
For instance, providing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Hoover Commission made the following observations for performance budgeting while
recommending overhaul of the nation s budget process:
Under performance budgeting, government departments and agencies would prepare budgets
according to their major functions, activities and projects [8] focusing on the impact of the activity
or service instead of things to be acquired [8]
These budget reforms aimed to provide holistic information about programs and activities based on
measurement of ultimate impact of outcomes through parameters that measured effectiveness and
efficiency of operations. Thus the question of optimal utilization of resources and whether the
government is allocating them accordingly was to be addressed by this reform.
The Commission recommendations on performance budgeting requirements (HPB) were
implemented through two legislations: The National Security Act Amendments (1949) and the
Budgeting and Accounting Procedures Act (BAPA), 1950 that prescribed a less prescriptive
definition of performance budgeting that instituted country wide adoption of this budget technique.
Elements of Hover Performance Budgeting (HPB)
Performance measurement based processes require certain elements as prerequisite in each of the
four stages viz proposal; negotiation and approval; execution and reporting. To be meaningful,
performance measurement in budgeting must be reflected in each stage
Clinical Laboratory Misconceptions
I recently had the opportunity to meet with Clinical laboratory director Kathleen Penny at Metro
Health Hospital, where I hope to intern this coming January. After settling into Mrs. Penny s office, I
was able to get some insight about what a common misconception is about the clinical laboratory.
Mrs. Penny went on to mention that most misconceptions regarding the laboratorystem from other
medical professionals being surprised at how well educated the laboratory staff is (Penny, K
personal communication). Apparently, many areas of the hospital don t realize that the medical
technologists responsible for the tests done hold a bachelors or associates degree. The degree a
laboratory tech has will determine the complexity of testing that person can be responsible for.

Penny made during our conversation, was No one really knows what we do, a fact I ve come to
learn in my own experience when I explain what my major is. (Penny, 2016). After reading the
title of a story in Gigs I found myself wondering what does a computer chip layout designer do, I
have no idea. I figure something with design of computer chips, but again I can t fathom what
that means. Susie Johnson the woman in this position, explains what her job entails. If I
understand it correctly, she creates a computer chip to contain information that is housed in
symbol format, which she spatially arranges to fit into the chip that she designs. (Bowie, et al. p.
86). In my attempt to understand what this means I am reminded of when Mrs. Penny spoke of
the practical application of a concept. I would have a better understanding of Mrs. Johnson s job
if I visually saw the process and the end result. While I can t fully visualize what Mrs. Johnson
creates, I do see more clearly why people don t venture to guess about my chosen profession, as I did
not even have an inkling as to what a computer chip layout designer does on a daily

Bruce Wayne better known as Batman was born in the city of Metropolis/Gotham city, (The city

When did you know you were a lesbian? (172). This cements the bedroom as a liminal space as
