A Good Friend
In today s world, many people are backstabbing and downright terrible. A good person, much less
a good friend is hard to find. It may be difficult for one to figure out who their true friends really
are, and in a time of need, one may be left wondering if they have any friends at all. Good friends
are usually found in small groups, maybe even just two people. A good friend is someone who
cares about you and will almost never let you down. To me, a good friend is loyal, is someone
you can laugh with, and is someone who can give you advice. Most importantly, a good friend
will be loyal. For example, a good friend might put their best friend at the top of their priority list
when it comes to spending time with them. A few weeks ago my best friend Makenzie invited me
to go spend the day with her and her family at Clarkco State Park where they were camping.
Although I had already made plans to go on a date with my boyfriend that day, I decided to cancel
the plans with him in favor of spending time with Makenzie. Best day ever in my opinion. On the
contrary, a good friend will not go behind their friends back. Even Though two best friends may
not agree with each other every once in awhile, they will never talk badly about them or share their
friend s secrets. Obviously, the most important defining quality of a good friend is their loyalty.
Additionally, a good friend is someone who can laugh with you. I personally am very clumsy, and
my best friend definitely knows that. The
Economic Policy And Monetary Policy
There are two types of economic policies to control aggregate demand in a market economy. These
two types are known as fiscal policy and monetary policy. Fiscal policy is when the government
changes their taxing amounts and their spending, for the purpose of expanding or contracting
aggregate demand. Monetary policyis the changes in interests rates and moneysupply to expand or
contract the same demand, but it is under control of our central bank. When it comes to fiscal
policy, the government does two very different things to promote economic growth, depending on
what is going on in the economy at a certain time. For example, if our economy is in a recession
and is failing, this policy would involve lowering taxes and reducing spending.... Show more content

But in a severe recession, such as in 2008 2009, the government resorted to increased spending, in
order to get these times out of decrease and into economic increase. Another type of fiscal policy
is aimed to create more expansions and fewer recessions in our economy. This is knows as the
nondiscretionary fiscal policy, or automatic stabilizers. The main source of the federal money
brought in is from progressive income tax, which aims to increase demand in a recession and
decrease demand in an expansion, along with the welfare system. In the 2008 2009 recession, these
automatic stabilizers made a much bigger stimulus than the changes made to taxes and spending by
the government. When it comes to the monetary policy, the promoting of the economic growth
comes from the Federal Reserve System. In order to make growth during a recession, the bank
lowers interest rates and increase money supply. In an expansion, the opposite occurs, where the
interest rates are increased but the money supply is decreased. This impact though can take several
months for it to change the demand. An issue with this though is the fact that the bank is not
controlled by the president or congress, but could be seen as a positive compared to the fiscal
policy, which has to be overseen by both the president and congress.

Lord Of The Flies Monologue
We were all screaming as the plane was plunging towards the ground. I looked over at Simon and
his son Timmy, we all knew what was happening. The plane hurtled to the ground, it felt like
forever. Then we crashed, I couldn t think right all the passengers that were on the plane were gone
all I could see was Simon across the middle of the plane. Then this dirty disgusting looking man
came and picked up Simon s son and left with him in his arms. It must have been a couple hours
later, I got up and woke Simon. We have to set up a camp I remember Simon saying. There were
two hatchets, each for one of us and we each took a handbook, with what other supplies we found on
the plane. We continued out of the damaged plane onto the mushy, and squishy... Show more content

We decided to build a temporary shelter out of sticks. That night was cold and unbearable, Simon
couldn t sleep so he built a fire. We saw these creatures running around making weird noises. They
looked like the creature that took Simon s son but there were many of them in packs. I immediately
ran into the deep, freezing, cold water.
The day was running away and Simon and I didn t have a plan yet, we went out into the cold
searching for Timmy. We came across this big crater in the middle of the island, it was bigger
than anything I ve ever seen before. To our left there was a rope, I had never been down a rope let
alone one that long. I persevered down the rope. once we got to the bottom we saw more of those
creatures. There was a small cave entrance not too far from where we had come down on the rope.
We approached it cautiously. The cave felt hollow and empty until we came across a rope that
took us down even further than before. The strange sounds that echoed through the cave were
becoming louder and louder. Then, we saw it. It was bigger than anything we saw before, it had
multiple legs and was at least eight feet tall. All we had were our axes and some supplies
Workforce Dress Codes
Dress codes change generally among districts and fields of occupation in America. A Wall Street
representative will wear a smart suit and shirt to work, while start up workers in Silicon Valley may
appear in shorts and shirt amid available time. Be possibly overdressed rather than underdressed for
your imminent representative meeting, a fundamental meeting, or your first day at work. When you
pick among moderate, sharp nice, and nice clothing, constantly go for one of the underlying two
decisions, dependent upon how standard the association being alluded to is. If your commitments
incorporate individual contact with customers or clients, more formal apparel is consistently
anticipated. When you know the environment better, you may dress down,

Book of David
By Shannon L Tyler
King David was known as the successor of Saul. This story can be located in the book of First
Samuel, written by Samuel during the period c.630 540BCE, with additions by prophets such as
Gad and Nathan. David is introduced as the youngest of eight sons who is known to be an anointed
king by Samuel to eventually replace Saul. When David later grew up, he was thought of as a good
leader. David was considered an outstanding leader however, he was not perfect. As a king, David
had positive and negative leadership characteristics. Throughout his reign as king of Israel, David
showed remorse for his negative decisions and for straying from God. David
48 Shades Of Brown By Nick Earls
48 Shades of Brown by Nick Earls is a novel that follows Dan Bancroft, the main protagonist, and his
troubling experiences as he goes through his final year of school. Dan is thrown into a world of
unfamiliarity, where he makes many comical and embarrassing decisions. This novel expresses the
theme of having or not having control subtly through the choices Dan makes, and their
consequences. This theme is also successfully revealed through the four elements; characters, plot,
motifs and setting. The relationships between the characters are vital to providing an insight into the
theme.
In the beginning of the novel 48 Shades of Brown , the theme of having or not having control is
effectively demonstrated through the characters. When Dan is faced with the issue of living in a
share house during his final year of school, he begins to identify the struggles of surviving in the
unorganised environment. A situation where Dan lacks control is when Naomi and her boyfriend
are having sex in the room next door and Dan wants to go outside, but the floorboards (would)
squeak so they d know (p.19). Dan lacks control in this situation as he has no power over what is
happening in the other room, and he also cannot escape without them realising what he is trying to
do. Dan lacking control in this situation causes him discomfort that he cannot rattle. During this
situation, Dan starts arranging his socks systematically revealing his inner need to be in control.

A Reflection On Bad Blood Essay
Bad Blood
Have you ever been wrong? Have you ever pushed aside the opinions of everyone who matters in
your life when they were screaming the opposite of your feelings and gone with your gut feeling?
Maybe you have. Maybe it was something as small as a place you picked for dinner that accidentally
gave your entire family food poisoning. Maybe it was a friend. Maybe it was a significant person
in your life. For me it was ever putting my trust in Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, Ted,
Cosmos and many other animated programs on Fox, despite the fair warnings from everyone
from my mentor to his assistants to my friends phone calls as there were actual fools. My friends
forwarding me very subtle articles from Rolling Stones entitled A Brief History in Hating Seth
MacFarlane . No one ever questions the benefits of positive emotions, especially in America, but
nearly no one assumes that there could possibly be a negative side effect of the sunny joyous
feelings. Negative emotions are not only crucial to our existence but also ironically to feeling good.
To live optimally in the real world and endure its numerous and endless challenges, it s necessary to
engage the full range of psychological states we ve inherited as humans. Overly positive emotions
over the last year have left me emotionally hardened to trusting, yet somehow negative emotions
have made me closer than ever to my mentor in wake of the betrayal of our once potential co
executive producer which has
Reflection About Groupthink
Growing up in a new country can be hard for an elementary school kid, not only do they have to
deal with catching up in their studies and adjusting to the new environment but also the social
hierarchy of the playground. By applying the symbolic interaction theory, my participation in
Groupthink shows just how easy an individual conforms to the norms of the group in order to fit
in and how those actions eventually shape that individual closer to their true self (Brym Lie
2017). My experience with groupthink can not be narrowed down to one event. It is more like
my whole 4th grade year. In 2007, I had just arrived in Canada from the Philippines. Being a
newcomer, I tried my best to fit in, make new friends, and did what any Canadian kids my age
did. There was this girl that for some reason everyone avoided. To fit in, my instinct told me to
avoid her as well. So, every time she came close I would run away, anything she touched, I would
not dare touch, and speaking to her would be the worst possible thing anyone could do. Back then
I did not understand why we would do such things. All I knew is that I had to do them to be
considered cool . For the better part of my elementary school career I did my best to abide by these
unwritten rules, without knowing the real reason as to why they exist in the first place. I remember
one afternoon, I met up with my teammates and coach in the girl s classroom. As I sit down at a
random desk, my friends thought it would be funny to
