Carlos, the Teenage Chef

What can you do with cheese?

There aren’t only one or two great recipes with cheese – there are
hundreds! My favourite isn’t a recipe with English cheese, it’s with brie, a
kind of French cheese. The recipe isn’t very good for you so don’t eat it
every day!
The ingredients are 200g of brie, three slices of bread, an egg, some oil
and some salt and pepper. First, cut up the bread into very small pieces
and bake them for five minutes. Beat the egg in a bowl and add some salt
and pepper. Then cut up the brie into long, thin slices and put them one
by one into the egg. Put the brie slices into the bread so there is bread all
over the brie. Fry the brie, bread and egg in some oil so they are brown on
both sides and you can eat them with ketchup – delicious!
Some other great recipes are cheese on toast, pasta with cheese sauce
and pizzas covered in lots of your favourite cheese. Like any recipe with
cheese, they have got lots of calories, but the taste is wonderful!
