 Part 2: Describe “a happy childhood event you remember”

One of my happiest memories is my tenth birthday, when my parents threw a

surprise party at home. When I got home from school, I was surprised to see friends
and family there, with balloons and sparkling lights decorating the space. Everyone
sang the birthday song, and my parents brought out the cake I loved.

After that, we played games together, like blindfold tag and a "guess the word"
game, which filled the room with laughter. At the end of the party, I opened gifts from
friends and family, each one bringing its own little surprise. It was a truly special day,
not just because of the birthday celebration, but also because of the love everyone
showed me. That memory remains one of the most memorable days of my childhood.

 Part 3: Present a two- minute speech about “ celebrations/ festival”

Hello everyone! Today, I would like to share about a very special festival in
Vietnam – the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the
15th day of the 8th lunar month every year. This is an important occasion dedicated to
children and is also known as Children's Day.

The origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival comes from many folk tales about the
legend of Cuội, the Moon Lady, and the moon. The festival is not only a celebration of
abundant harvests but also a time for people to show gratitude to their ancestors and
wish for peace and happiness in life.

On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, families often organize fun activities
like lantern processions, lion dances, and enjoy special treats such as mooncakes and
fruits. Children are the main focus of the festival, and they receive mooncakes, star-
shaped lanterns, and participate in traditional games.

I believe that organizing festivals like the Mid-Autumn Festival is very

important. It is an opportunity for families to bond, especially for parents to spend time
with their children, so that they can have a joyful and memorable childhood.

The Mid-Autumn Festival also requires preparation in advance. Tasks like

making mooncakes, preparing lanterns, and planning traditional games should be done
ahead of time to ensure a joyful and meaningful celebration.

In conclusion, the Mid-Autumn Festival is an essential part of Vietnamese

cultural life, a time for families to gather, express love, and strengthen family bonds.
