The Logo

In the ancient Indian system of medicine, the concept of Pancha Mahabhutas, or the
five elements, known as the "Tatvas," forms the foundation of understanding the
universe and the human body. Each Tatva represents a specific quality and governs
different aspects of our existence. The five petals of the logo respresents the five
Tatvas of Ayurveda i.e. Sky (Akasha), Air (Vayu), Fire (Tejas), Water (Jala), and Earth
(Prithvi). When the Tatvas are in a state of harmony and balance, they work together
to create optimal health and vitality. The symmetry of the logo, coupled with the
hues of blue, signify this balance.

This harmonious co-existence resonates with the unwavering spirit of the General
Assembly. The continuity of lines in the logo represents our respect for tradition
amidst the sparks that celebrate novelty. The logo, by virtue of it being an open
curve, is a testament to the ethos of inclusivity and acceptance, that IFMSA strives
for.

The Artist, Shaivi Mukhi, is a 18 year old freelance designer

who is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Fashion
Communication at National Institute of Fashion and
Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, India.
