Interviews form the basic selecting criteria for most large

companies. However, some people think that the interview is


not a reliable method of choosing whom to employ.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In a large number of companies, interview is often chosen to


choose the most qualified candidates. Nevertheless, some
people suggest that interview is not useful in helping
companies determine who would be suitable for a job
opening. Personally, I totally disagree with this view due to
some reasons that are explained in this essay.
Interviews play an essential role in helping companies choose
the best candidates, which cannot be determined by reading
curriculum vitae. When an employer chooses employees, they
need to ensure that workers can be a beneficial part of their
companies by performing their majors sufficiently and
blending well with other teammates and supervisors.
Although a candidate’s job application can provide
information about their degrees or past experiences, it cannot
provide enough data about their communication, leaderships,
or problem-solving abilities. Since interviews help employers
evaluate these critical skills, they are important and cannot be
undermined.
Furthermore, by having an interview with employers, workers
can gain useful information about the place that they may work
in the future. For many employees, the most important goal is
to understand the culture of their future companies, the
attitude of supervisors, and the career prospects in these new
firms. As these information pieces are usually not available on
the Internet or other public platforms, job applicants can utilize
interview to inquire them, making sure that their choice is
appropriate. For instance, applicants usually ask about their
perks when working in a company or how they can climb the
career ladder in the future.
In conclusion, although some people believe that interviews
hold limited value in helping employers assess potential
applicants, I strongly disagree with this view. Not only can
interviews provide insight into a worker’s attitude, critical
thinking ability, and problem-solving abilities, but they can
also give the chances for workers to inquire important
information that can ensure a stable career path that they may
embark on.

Đối với người lao động – interview là cơ hội để hiểu về văn
hoá công ty, hiểu cách đối xử với nhân viên của những người
cấp cao -> vốn là cái không thể biết chỉ thông qua đọc thông
tin public.
è Mục đích cuối cùng là gì -> tìm nơi làm thân thiện,
phù hợp, supportive, có cơ hội thăng tiến.
Đối với người tuyển dụng – cv chỉ thể hiện được trình độ, học
vấn, kinh nghiệm, còn những cái như communication skill,
critical thinking, analytical skill – không thể biết được chỉ qua
CV.
