Li endured pain. He was freed from his cage. He’d never even have to see the land of poverty
which is where I stand today. He was the perfect candidate for it. He was a star in my eyes,
gleaming in the air. I spent my entire life with him and i only realised how insigni cant i was I
never expected for him to succeed yet I never lost faith in his talent. My eyes burst into tears of
happiness when the news that held fortune arrived.

Never could I ever imagine that someone I knew, my own brother, could manage to enter south
a preistgous school. Having known Cunxin for my entire life, it lled my heart with pride.

Cunyuan thinks cunxin deserves it and values him a lot. His attitude toward him is very positive
since he tells him to forget about them and aim for his dreams, meaning that memory of them
shouldn’t hold him back. He believes cunxin deserved to enter

Cunyuan envies Cunxin since Cunyuan was the only one who was held back. This makes him
feel he is only there to work and believes he is worthless and ``

My beloved brother
Li. Our family crown jewel. He surpassed any simple commoner like us. Li endured the pain. He received the
reward of leaving this poor town which held no future and headed only towards ruins. Never ever could I
believe that someone I knew, my own brother, could enter this prestigious school and change the course of his
life. Tears of joy streamed down my face as the news of good fortune arrived. Only until that day could I realise
how insigni cant I was compared to him.

Li was always a star in my eyes, he never lost his faith in us and I never lost faith in him. He always was willing
to sacri ce everything just to see us smile and laugh genuinely. He truly was a boy with a pure heart. When I
was young, I always thought Li was a shriveled, weak, useless boy. At least until now. I could only imagine how
much I was wrong. Once I believed that he could travel alone, I urged him to break ties with us. The only thing
that could stop him was us. He had to move forward. We would only restrict him as hard as life could move. I
believed that he could do without us. Only he had the power and will to do so. He gave me courage.

However, I was always restricted by my despicable parents. Forced to take the path of a lowly worker in the
elds. I held no purpose. All I could do was pray. Pray that one day, a miraculous miracle will strike me and
change my life. I waited day and night for that moment to come. It never did. Li brought me hope, a force that
could never waver within me. He gave me courage, the courage to act. He gave me the will, the will to ght
back against the life I was given.
