REASON/DESCRIPTION/OPERATIONAL CONSEQUENCES
During the installation of the AFT Galley SG4 (FIN 6482MM), it was found that the pip-pin, Part Number
(PN) MS17989C608, did not fully engage with the fork end of the upper OUTBD tie rod, PN 205511-3.
This tie rod secures the upper side of the galley to the aircraft structure.
This Service Bulletin is published to advise all operators of A320 and A321 aircraft of the issue
of ZODIAC GALLEYS EUROPE Service Bulletin No. 601888-25-000701-001 which details the work
required to install new improved tie rods at the AFT galley SG4 (FIN 6482MM).
An improved upper TOP tie rod is installed at the AFT galley SG4 (FIN 6482MM) to harmonize the tie
rod design with the improved upper OUTBD tie rod.
The accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will make sure the full engagement of the pip-pins into the
tie rods, this will ensure the correct installation of Galley SG4 (FIN 6482MM).

standard configuration.

C. REASON
(1) History
During the installation of the AFT Galley SG4 (FIN 6482MM), it was found that the pip-
pin, Part Number (PN) MS17989C608, did not fully engage with the fork end of the
upper OUTBD tie rod, PN 205511-3. This tie rod secures the upper side of the galley to
the aircraft structure.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin is published to advise all operators of A320 and A321 aircraft of the
issue of ZODIAC GALLEYS EUROPE Service Bulletin No. 601888-25-000701-001 which
details the work required to install new improved tie rods at the AFT galley SG4 (FIN
6482MM).
An improved upper TOP tie rod is installed at the AFT galley SG4 (FIN 6482MM) to
harmonize the tie rod design with the improved upper OUTBD tie rod.

responsible for obtaining approval by its airworthiness authority for any adaptation necessary
before incorporation of the Service Bulletin.
G. MANPOWER
The manpower estimates given in this Service Bulletin are based on the direct labor cost to
do the work. These estimates assume that the work will be done by experienced personnel,
and may need to be revised upwards to suit operator’s circumstances. The estimates do not
include the time to prepare, plan or inspect the work. Manufacture and procurement of parts
and tools, drying times for paints, sealants, etc., and general administration work are also not
included.
