1. What is the utility of format painter?


Ans. The Format Painter tool is used to copy the text formatting from an object or text
and apply it to another selection.

2. Differentiate between the subscript and superscript option.


Ans. The Subscript option places the selected text slightly below the baseline and
makes it appear smaller than the rest of the text. The Superscript option places the
selected text slightly above the baseline.

3. Explain the use of the Find and Replace feature in Word.


Ans. The Find option is used to find a particular word or phrase in the current
document. The Replace option replace the searched words or phrases with a new
word.

4. What is the use of the header and footers?


Ans. Header and Footer are used to place some information on the top and at the
bottom of every page, respectively.

5. How can you add shapes in your documents?


Ans. To insert a shape, click on the Shapes option in the Illustrations group on the
Insert tab and select the required shape.

6. How do you add the text in a shape?


Ans. To add text in a shape, right-click on it and select Add Text. The insertion point
appears in the object. Now, type in the text. Once completed, click outside the shape.
