worth over 24,067 crore, illegally acquired by mafias
and criminals, have been seized.
From January 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, convictions
were secured in 6,792 cases related to crimes against
women and minors. Under the POCSO Act, 16 cases
resulted in capital punishment, 429 cases led to life
imprisonment, 1,633 cases had sentences exceeding 10
years, and 2,057 cases received sentences of less than
10 years.
Establishment of 126 new police stations, 86 new
outposts, 4 water police outposts, 78 women police
outpost counseling units, 75 anti-power theft police

To effectively control human trafficking, 75 Anti
Human Trafficking Units have been converted into
dedicated police stations.

For non-compliance with the prescribed noise levels,
1,08,037 loudspeakers were removed from religious
sites, while sound levels of 1,53,417 loudspeakers were

Forensic laboratories<have been made operational in
Lucknow, Varanasi,Agra, Ghaziabad, Jhansi, Prayagraj,

Moradabad.
Implementation of the revised Jail Manual 2022.
Under 'Operation Trinetra,' 11,48,192 CCTV cameras
have been installed, leading to the detection and legal
action in 1,501 cases related to murder, robbery,
kidnapping, snatching, and theft.
To combat cybercrime, 18 regional cybercrime police
stations have been established, along with cyber cells in
530 district-level police stations. Since 2017, an
amount of Rs 171.51 crore has been frozen/held in the
concerned banks.

Under the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana,
2,18,412 beneficiaries have been supported.
Since the launch of the 'One District One Product
(ODOP) program, the state's exports have increased
from 788,967 crore to over 1.80 lakh crore.
Under the ODOP financial support scheme, during
2023-24, R16,536.45 lakh margin money was disbursed
to 3,215 beneficiaries, generating employment for
57,880 individuals.
Under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, a
total of 5,763 beneficiaries have been supported so far
2023-24 and the current financial year, with
15,279.37 lakh margin money disbursed, providing
employment to 46,104 individuals.
The Prime Minister's Employment Generation
Programme supported 4,990 beneficiaries with
Z18,519.25 lakh nmargin money disbursed in 2023-24,
creating employment for 39,920 individuals.
The Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan was
launched to promote self-employment and establish
new micro-industries by connecting educated and

Efforts are ongoing to elevate
Uttar Pradesh into a $1 trillion economy
Uttar Pradesh is the second largest economy in the
country, contributing 9.2 percent to national income.
GSDP increased to around 25.48 lakh crores in the
financial year 2023-24. GSDP is estimated to be more
than 32 lakh crores at the end of the current financial
year.
Uttar Pradesh is a revenue surplus state. This increased
revenue has been the basis of the state's development.
In the last 07 years, per capita income has increased
from 47,118 to 93,514.
The state's fiscal deficit has been 2.86 percent as against
the limit of 3.50percent prescribed in the FRBMAct.
The CD ratio of banks has increased from 46.21 percent

in March 2017 to 58.72 percent in March 2024. Earlier,
about 10 percent of the revenue receipts was given for
interest on loans, In 2023-24, it has come down to 8.8
percent. It is estimated to be 8.9 percent in the year
2024-25.
In 2023-24, the gross value addition was 23.24 lakh
crores compared to the estimated GSVA of 23 lakh
crores for the state.
In 2023-24, the state's compounded annual growth rate
(CAGR) was about 16%. This situation is encouraging.
The target is 25% for the current year.
Banking business reached Rs. 27.97 lakh crore by
March 2024.
With 16.2% share of inyestment,UP was the number
one state in attracting funds for projects from banks and
financial institutions in 2022-23. (as per the RBI
Bulletin, August 2023)
Banking facilities are being provided in the state
through 3,13,942 banking centres, including 20036
branches of banks (including Regional Rural Banks),
2,74,997 Bank Mitra and Certified BC Sakhis, and
18909 ATMs.
Utar Pradesh is the second largest state in the country
in terms of number of income tax returns filed.

For the first time, direct benefit transfer (DBT) has been

To maintain the state's lcadership in milk production, the
Nand Baba Milk Mission has been launched with an
investment of 1,000' crore over five years.
Under the Poultry Development Policy, four units with a

of July 24, 2024, out of a total of 5,03,96,306 references
