Function behaviour
The purpose of the alarm is to:
● prevent and/or delay theft of vehicle, trailer, equipment or load
● provide a safer environment for the driver.

LED indicator
The alarm system status is shown by the LED indicator.
Status LED
Disarmed Off
Armed Flashes, 1 Hz
Triggered Flashes, 3 Hz
Service mode On
Arming
The alarm is armed by pressing the lock button on the key fob. Armed status is confirmed by a long
flash from the direction indicators. It takes a few seconds for the alarm to be fully activated. The LED
indicator for alarm status flashes when the system is armed. Once armed, the system continuously
monitors all the alarm sensor inputs.
Note
If an alarm input is active because, for example, a door is still open, a short beep is given.
Preconditions
● Activation is possible in the following vehicle modes:
■ Parking
■ Living
■ Accessory
To fulfil activation the present alarm status must be disarmed.
Disarming
Disarming allows the driver to access the vehicle without triggering the alarm. The function also
deactivates a triggered alarm.
To disarm the system, press the unlock button on the key fob or turn the key to pre-running mode.
Disarmed status is confirmed by the LED indicator being turned off.
If an armed alarm is triggered, the siren sounds briefly. Notification of an attempted burglary is sent to
the instrument. Details on the last triggered input are presented for about half a minute when the key
is in pre-running mode.

■ Pre-running
● To disarm the alarm, it must be either:
■ Armed
■ Set to reduced alarm
■ Triggered
Reduced alarm
The purpose of reduced alarm is to:
● Allow occupation of the cab when the alarm is armed
● Prevent the alarm being triggered by movements during ferry transport.
With reduced alarm, the movement sensor is deactivated when the alarm is armed.
To activate reduced alarm:
● Insert/leave the key in the key switch OR press the switch for reduced alarm
● Press the lock button on the key fob.
Preconditions
● Activation is possible in the following vehicle modes:
■ Parking
■ Living
■ Accessory
● To activate reduced alarm:
■ The alarm must be disarmed.
■ The alarm must be armed within about 30 seconds of the reduced alarm function being
activated.

Triggered alarm
The alarm triggers if the system detects tampering or attempted burglary.
● The siren sounds
● The direction indicators flashes rapidly.
When triggered, the system alarms for a maximum of five minutes.
If the system is triggered while the vehicle is unattended:
● The LED indicator flashes slowly
● In pre-running mode, a message is shown in the driver information display for about 30 seconds,
indicating the inputs that have been triggered.
The system can register the time and date of the ten most recent tampering or burglary event.
Preconditions
● Triggering is possible in the following vehicle modes:
■ Parking
■ Living
■ Accessory
● To be activated, the alarm must be armed or in reduced alarm mode.
Panic alarm
The alarm can be manually triggered in the event of an emergency. The panic alarm function is for
use if the driver feels threatened or exposed to danger. Note that the panic alarm triggers either the
siren or the city horn depending on how it is activated.
Activation from cab
To trigger the alarm, press the panic alarm button for a few seconds.
The following devices are activated:
● The siren
● The direction indicators
Activation from key fob
To activate the panic alarm, press the panic button on the key fob for a few seconds or twice within
about three seconds.
The following devices are activated:
● The city horn
● The direction indicators
Deactivation from cab
To deactivate the panic alarm, press the panic alarm button for a few seconds.

Deactivation from key fob
To deactivate the panic alarm, press the panic button on the key fob for a few seconds or twice within
about three seconds.
The following devices are deactivated:
● The city horn
● The direction indicators
Note
The panic alarm is disabled when the alarm is in service mode.
Preconditions
● Panic alarm can be triggered in the following vehicle modes:
■ Parking
■ Living
■ Accessory
■ Pre-running
■ Cranking
■ Running
Note
The panic alarm is disabled when the alarm is in service mode.
Tamper alarm
The purpose of the tamper alarm is to protect the alarm system installation and components from
unauthorized access.
Activation
● The tamper alarm is activated by any of the following events:
■ Tamper with the doors.
■ Tamper with the siren or its harness that causes communication or power loss. The siren
has a built-in battery.

■ Tamper with the power supply (battery, connections and cables).
Note
Battery voltage drop due to natural battery discharge does not activate the tamper alarm.
Preconditions
● Activation is possible in the following vehicle modes:
■ Parking
■ Living
■ Accessory
■ Pre-running
Service mode
This function allows service and maintenance personnel to work on the vehicle without triggering the
alarm. When service mode is activated, the power consumption of the alarm system is insignificant.
Service mode is set when the vehicle is in pre-delivery mode.
Activation
To activate service mode:
1 Turn the key to pre-running mode.
2 Press and hold the switch for reduced alarm.
3 Press the lock button on the key fob.
The siren sounds briefly to confirm that service mode is enabled. The LED indicator for the lights
continuously while the system is set to service mode.
Deactivation
To deactivate service mode:
1 Turn the key to pre-running mode.
2 Press and hold the switch for reduced alarm.
3 Press the unlock button on the key fob.
The LED indicator goes out.
Preconditions
● Service mode must be activated in pre-running mode.
● The alarm must be disarmed.

Any possible power supply disturbance due to maintenance, tampering or burglary attempts
does not affect alarm settings or event registrations.
