THEME: “ Nutrisyon dala sang tinuom, bugal sang
Cabatuananon! “
I. RATIONALE
In accordance with the annual Nutrition month celebration
and with this year’s theme,“ Nutrisyon dala sang tinuom, bugal
sang Cabatuananon!’ Tiring Central Elementary School has
developed activities which aim to educate pupils, as well as the
public the importance of proper nutrition. We target to
disseminate simple and practical nutrition message that
encourage our pupils to consume an adequate and well- balanced
diet together with a healthy lifestyle.
Nutrition education still remains as the cornerstone
improving the nutritional status of the population in the long
term.
II. OBJECTIVES
In line with the celebration of the Nutrition Month of July, the pupils
of Tiring Central Elementary School is expected to:
a) Celebrated and incorporated cultural diversity in food choices and
dietary practices.
b) Showcase traditional and local foods that contributed to a well
balanced diet.
III. METHODOLOGIES
The assigned/responsible committee members shall:
Choose a theme that focuses on Filipino culinary heritage and
diversity.
Invite speakers and chefs that will introduce tinuom and make
further knowledge on local dishes and cuisines.
Involve School administrators, faculty and staff for suggestions, final
planning and preparations for the event.
Recognize and appreciate individuals or organizations present within
the locality on their contribution to nutrition awareness.
Submission of the activity design with the Schedule of Activities
to the School Head’s office with for review and preliminary approval
to the office of the Division Superintendent for the final approval of
the activity.
