Multipolar: 1871-1945
Bipolar: 1947-1991 (Cold War)
Today’s: Mixed system, with America at the top, with the US
having the most military power, but becoming multipolar in
economics and politics.

Give three specific examples.

A.​Geography - The U.S. and Europe have many navigable


rivers and good ports, which makes it viable for trade and
imports via sea.
B.​Natural resources - Russia has lots of oil, gas and
minerals, which it traded a lot before the
Russian-Ukrainian war.
C.​Population - A bigger population can cause a bigger
workforce in the economy and more military.

politics. Give three specific examples

A.​Personalities - Jimmy Carter, he was brilliant in


negotiating between Israeli and Palestinian leaders to
reach Camp David agreements.
B.​Knowledge and Experience - Truman had only a small bit

and followed the advice from experienced officials.
C.​Physiological Factors - Donald Trump wanting to launch
