Ingredients:
500g of chicken (drumsticks or thighs work well)
1/4 cup of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
1 tablespoon of minced ginger
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and
black pepper. Mix well.
Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Let it marinate for at
least 30 minutes (or up to overnight in the refrigerator for more flavor).
Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet or pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
Add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan, reserving the marinade for later. Cook
the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it is golden brown and
cooked through.
Add the Marinade:
Once the chicken is cooked, pour the reserved marinade into the pan. Bring it to a
simmer and let it cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, allowing the sauce to
thicken slightly.
Serve:
Once the sauce has thickened, remove the pan from heat.
Transfer the chicken to a serving plate and drizzle the sauce over it.
Garnish:
Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top for garnish.
