CHAPTER THREE

CHALLENGES AND INTERVATIONS

3.0 OVERVIEW

Field Practical Training refers to hands-on, real -world experience gained by Students in a
Specific Field or Industry. It typically involves Working in a Professional Environment where
Theoretical Knowledge is applied in Practical situation. This Type of Training is essential for
enhancing skills, Gaining Practical insights and understanding the Day -to-Day operations of a
particular Professional or Area of Study. It often forms of crucial part of Academic or Vacation
Programs, helping Individuals Develop expertise before entering the workforce.

3.1 CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED DURING FIELD PRACTICAL

In my practical Training I did in Bushaga Street I encountered the following challenge.

1. Financial Assistance for Travel and Subsistence through the study period.
2. Lack of transportation in the Local Office, thus causing not to reach various places
urgently.
3. Language Barrier, where a citizen comes in need of official services and then speaks the
native language.
4. Extreme drunkenness in the community, many citizens in Bushaga Street are using strong
alcohol, which makes them drunken most of the time and unable to work to earn income.

3.2 WAYS TO OVERCOME CHALLENGES.

To overcome the challenges as I listed in section 3.1 the following can be done;

1. College to provide financial support for self-care when students are in Practical Training
areas.
2. Facilitating the availability of Transportation Cost or the existence of transportation that
will help to reach various areas, especially those on the periphery urgently.
3. The community should continue to be educated on the use of official Languages, which
for us in Tanzania is Kiswahili or English to facilitate Communication.

17
4. Through Meeting and Street Committee, Education about the effect of Alcoholism
continues to be provided to remind the Community of their responsibility to work for
their Development.

18
CHAPTER FOUR
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
4.0 OVERVIEW
4.1 CONCLUSION
Overall this training at the Bushaga street office has enabled me to improve the understanding of
my professional, but it has also enabled me to identify various ways in resolution and solution to
complaints or conflict, monitoring the challenge of violence and gender discrimination as well as
the delivery, best service and reliable without any kind of preference for all citizens.

4.2 RECOMMENDATIONS
My recommendation I want to base on the period of field practical training, the period of two
months is short is not enough for a student to gain more experiences and knowledge.
Therefore,Through The Board of Director and Management Team of The Institute of Rural
Development Planningto increase the field practice time at least should be conducted for three
months in order to enable more Learning time to the Students.
