DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MAPEH 10 (PHYSICAL EDUCATION)
I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. identify the hand movements and positions in Cheerdance;
b. value the importance of the hand movements and positions in Cheerdance; and
c. create a dance routine applying the hand movements and positions in Cheerdance.
II. SUBJECT MATTER:
Topic: Hand Movements and Positions in Cheerdance (Beginning Stance, Cheer Stance,
Clap, Clasp, High V and Low V).
Reference: Physical Education and Health Learner’s Material page 187,
Instructional Materials: visual aids.

B. Motivation
Before we proceed to our lesson let us have an
activity, as you can see I have here a mystery
box containing some of the clue that will help
us identify the new lesson that we will discuss
today. All you need to do is to pass it while I
play the music and when the music stops the
one who holds the box will take something
inside and will tell us what it is. If your answer
is correct, you will be given a reward.
Please form a circle so that we can pass the
mystery box properly.

Before we proceed to our discussion this will
be our objectives for today.

Today we are going to tackle about what is
Cheerdance and the different basic hand
movements and positions.
In your own words, what is Cheerdance?
Cheerdance is coined from the words, Cheer
and Dance. To Cheer is to shout out words or
phrases that may help motivate and boost the
morale of a playing team and perform better
during a game.
Now let’s move on to the hand movements and
positions in Cheerdance.
But before that, let’s have a warm up exercise.
Everybody, stand.

Now before we proceed to our discussion. I
will group you into 3 groups then, I have
prepared a standee of the different hand
movements and positions in cheer dance. Each
group will be given a set of words and all you
have to do is to raise the correct answer that
you think is the name of the hand movements
