NOTE: As per EASA IR 21, a minor change is one that has no appreciable effect on the
mass, balance, structural strength, reliability, operational characteristics affecting the
airworthiness of the product. All other changes are major changes.

REASON/DESCRIPTION/OPERATIONAL CONSEQUENCES

One operator has reported that the aspirator of the offwing ramp/slide system interferes with the
extrusion lip of the Offwing escape Slide (OWS) enclosure during the initial stage of the deployment
sequence. This interference potentially renders the slide unusable.

This Service Bulletin is published to advise A320 operators of the issue of the Vendor Air Cruisers /
Aerazur Service Bulletin No. A320 004-25-84.

This Service Bulletin details the procedure to replace the existing Offwing escape Slides by Offwing
escape Slides with improved enclosure. This improvement introduces a smooth transition between the
door seal extrusion and the inner wall of the enclosure of the Offwing escape Slides.

The accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will prevent interference between the aspirator and the door
seal extrusion at the initial stage of the deployment sequence of the Offwing escape Slides.

B. CONCURRENT REQUIREMENTS

C. REASON

(1) History

One operator has reported that the aspirator of the offwing ramp/slide system interferes
with the extrusion lip of the Offwing escape Slide (OWS) enclosure during the initial
stage of the deployment sequence. This interference potentially renders the slide
unusable.

(2) Objective/Action

This Service Bulletin is published to advise A320 operators of the issue of the Vendor
Air Cruisers / Aerazur Service Bulletin No. A320 004-25-84.

This Service Bulletin details the procedure to replace the existing Offwing escape Slides
by Offwing escape Slides with improved enclosure. This improvement introduces a
smooth transition between the door seal extrusion and the inner wall of the enclosure of
the Offwing escape Slides.

(3) Advantages

The accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will prevent interference between the
aspirator and the door seal extrusion at the initial stage of the deployment sequence of
the Offwing escape Slides.

(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences

None

D. DESCRIPTION

To accomplish this Service Bulletin it is necessary to :

(1) Remove the Offwing escape Slides with their enclosures.

(2) Install the Offwing escape Slides with the modified enclosures.

door 826.

(h) Retract the flaps on the ground (Refer to AMM 27-50-00, Page Block 201).

(i) Remove the applicable wing-to-fuselage fairings below the enclosure panels 193AT
and 194AT (Refer to AMM 53-35-11, Page Block 401).
