General Instructions: Read the following instructions carefully and follow them:
1.This question paper contains 38 questions.
2. This Question Paper is divided into 5 Sections A, B, C, D and E.
3. In Section A, Questions no. 1-18 are multiple choice questions (MCQs) and questions
no. 19 and 20 are Assertion- Reason based questions of 1 mark each.
4. In Section B, Questions no. 21-25 are very short answer (SA-I) type questions, carrying 02
marks each.
5. In Section C, Questions no. 26-31 are short answer (SA-II) type questions, carrying 03
marks each.
6. In Section D, Questions no. 32-35 are long answer (LA) type questions, carrying 05 marks
each.
7. In Section E, Questions no. 36-38 are case study-based questions carrying 4 marks each
with sub parts of the values of 1, 1 and 2 marks each respectively.
8. All Questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 Question of Section B, 2
Questions of Section C and 2 Questions of Section D has been provided. An internal choice
has been provided in all the 2 marks questions of Section E.
9. Draw neat and clean figures wherever required. 10. Take π =22/7 wherever required if not

36. Anil went to buy some vegetables, he bought ‘x’ kgs. of tomato and ‘y’ 4
kgs of potato. The total cost of vegetables comes out to be of Rs. 200.
Now if the cost of 1 kg of tomato is Rs. 50 and of potato is Rs. 20, then
answer the following questions.

(i)Then find the equation which represent the total cost .
(ii)If Anil bought ‘x’ kgs of tomato and 2.5 kgs of potato , then find the
value of ‘x’ .
(iii)The graph of 5x + 2y =20 cuts x- axis at the point .

37. Ankit visited in a mall with his father. He sees that three shops are 4
situated at P, Q, R as shown in the figure from where they have to
purchase things according to their need. Distance between shop P and Q is
8 m, that of between shop Q and R is 10 m and between shop P and R is 6
m.

Considering O as the centre of the circle, answer the following questions.

(i) Find the radius of the circle.

38. Nakul was doing an experiment to find the radius r of a ball. For this he 4
took a cylindrical container with radius R = 7 cm and height 10 cm. He
filled the container almost half by water as shown in the figure-1. Now he
dropped the ball into the container as in figure-2. He observed that in
figure-2, the water level in the container raised from P to Q i.e, to 3.4 cm.
