In the film 'Big B', the romance primarily revolves around the subplots of Bijo and Gouri, and Murugan and Rimy, with Bijo's tragic death at the hands of Felix serving as a pivotal moment. Bijo's relationship with Gouri is portrayed through unconventional scenes that highlight their affection, contrasting with the film's darker themes of revenge and violence. Romance In Big B

Even though the Love / Romance is employed in the film, it's not of the protagonist, but that of
his brothers Murugan and Bijo. And thease are sub Plots, but they aren't taken for granted.
In Big B the romance is mainly between 2 couples Bijo John Kurishingal and Gouri, Murugan
And Rimy. In which Murugan's love succeeds, but Bijo Is killed by Felix (Santhosh Jogi). During
their investigation Bilal had a clash with Felix's Gang and this had already caused a conflict,
Sayipp Tony aptly adds fuel to this Clash, Causing Felix to take revenge against Bijo ending up
killing him. This Scene is portrayed as an intense Action scene using Pump Shot Guns and
Slow mo, only after the action one is informed of the Bullets that went through bijo taking his life
with them. This may seem like a Normal Death that doesn't affect the Formal Plot / The bigger
picture. But as Bilal takes down the thugs one by one, as he reaches Felix and points the Shot
Gun right at felix and asks the iconic question - " ഒറ്റ പേര്" , then only Bilal is informed of
the name of his stark enemy - Sayippu Tony.

Bijo and Gouri is introduced into the film in a very unconventional manner, Gouri is the daughter
of Dr Venu a Doctor that have helped Mary teacher in various manners, he comes home to
express his condolences over the demise of Mary tr. Bijo being the youngest is the one who
stays with Mary teacher even after the brothers Parting into ways of their own liking. He's in
charge of the kitchen and comes out holding tea cups for the guests, the presentation itself is
shown in a comic and contradictory manner - Against the "Penn kaanal" custom prevalent in
kerala . In this scene Bijo is shown acting very strange and shy this suggests that there's
something looming between the two. Amal Neerad Employs Close up shots of Bijo and Gouri
respectively, revealing their facial expressions and the blushing both have seeing each other.
Even After being the youngest Bijo accompanies Dr venu And Gouri to their doorway. There
too a short close up shot of Gouri is used showing her looking back at Bijo in love and
Admiration, 2,3 shots of her turning around and looking at Bijo is also used to emphasise the
love they both have. Contrary to The Gloomy - Metal / Moody Background Score, during thease
scenes a light delightful music is Played, to lighten the mood and to include certain Romantic -
aesthetics to the film, otherwise it'll remain in the Dark - Mafia Film tone and it may be hard for
the common man to digest,It must be remembered that Big B was one of the first films of the
New wave / New Gen film Era in malayalam industry. After this Scene the film goes on
exploring, developing with it's own ups and downs. During one of such scene Felix, Brother of
Mundan Savy a local thug, is introduced as a minor antagonist. (Gouri and Bijo)
There's a neat an un conventional yet friendship like relation between Bilal and Bijo, where as
the other sees Bilal as a respected Big Brother ( Reltn Btw Bijo and Bilal)

After their clash with Felix in the nxt scene we're seen Bijo sitting in their doorway and playing
Guiar while Gouri walks along the side path, she stops for a second and looks at him this
paticular scene is shown using slow mo. And is also accompanied by very light and airy guitar
music.
The bundling thease scenes have something in peculiar, their furst meeting occurs before they
encounter Felix, the next scene after their encounter and the following scene im which Bijo dies
also has Felix in it.

After Bilal Finding out it was 2 thugs from mumbai that have killed their mother, he ends up
killing them. Just as Tony and Mayor is introduced as Bilal and Bijo leaves to find out more
about the bombay thugs, Gouri and Bijo meets again, in this scene Bijo slows down to look at
her, and Gouri does the same - Even though much background - info about their love isn't
given, these scenes recommend that they are in a serious relationship. Thease scenes too are
accompanied by light and airy music. Amal has aptly distributed thease scenes as they tone
down / lighten up the mood of the film, if not it'll remain as a very dark Revenge Story with apt
dark tones and Grading.
Not only to lighten the mood but also for the commercialisation of the film there are Romantic
songs aptly placed in the story as the story develops and reaches a certain ends.

As they find a camera from the Apartment of the Thugs, Bilal comes to know that Dr Venu had
lied about not seeing Mary teacher in the last week. As they question Dr Venu Gouri is seen but
Bijo doesn't show any signs of sympathy, this shows his devotion to the Greater aim / to his
brother
Even though Bilal is informed of the presence of Mayor and Tony, it's Eddy to whom they all
turn their head against

In a very Dramatic scene where the Brothers encounter Eddy, Bijo is seen going after a sound
he heard, it's none other than Felix threatening and provoking him Bijo to a fight, just as Bijo
follows Felix he's shot by Tony's thugs, even though Bilal manages to take them down Bijo
bleeds to death , just as he dies a shot of their family photo being destroyed by bullets is seen,
which is highly symbolic.

As the Brothers gather around Bijo Bilal is emotionally broken into pieces, Felix is seen reving
his bike laughing at Bijo's death, Bilal goes into a frenzy mode pelting down Felix and asking the
iconic dialouge "ഒറ്റ പേര്", to which Felix replies - "Sayippu, saayippu Tony"
Only after the killing of Bijo, Sayippu Tony is introduced as a major Villain of the story,as
something for Bilal to end.
As the morning comes, we're shown a scene where there's crowd ,Bilal and the rest of the
brothers sitting near Bijo's Corpse , as the scene progresses Gouri enters the scene and starts
to cry, Dr venu is seen amazed by this and carries her away
ACP Balajee is then seen called by Mayor and Sayippu Tony where he is reluctant to act
according to their liking and further provokes Tony, Tony then kills ACP and threatens the
Mayor.
It's also noted that after the Death of Bijo the Background score becomes rife and sharp just as
the story
and no more light - airy music is used.
● The Moulding of Bilal into the Hero and Tony into the main Villain occurs after the death of
Bijo. Bijo's Death / The untimely end to the romance leads to the upbringing of the Protagonist
and Antagonist
