Q1. What were your challenges way back...?
A1. I should say we financially struggled when i was young... I am the second among 5 siblings and my
elder sister grew with my mother side grandparents so my role happened to be the eldest as I was left to
take care of the little ones.
In order to somehow help my parents, instead of hanging out with the peers when off the school, I am a
full time assistant of my father in the farm during weekends. My daily life was never easy back then,
while my parents leave so early every morning to earn a living I was tasked to take care of our livestocks,
fetch waters from the wells away from home, cook food for my siblings and ensures all of us could go to
school on time… I could remember, while my classmates & friends in school were enjoying abundance
of water and electricity, we are living on a quite laid back primitive way. I usually set myself beside a
small kerosene lamp every night to keep myself on track with my studies. On my fourth year in high
school, while all my classmates were submitting computerized outputs on school papers and thesis, I
had it hand written. My Teacher accepted and rated it fairly though. I went my way through college and
strived to always be on the dean’s list to earn a University Scholarship to somehow address my daily
financial demand until I finished my degree. All these made me strong and patient. All the discernments
equipped me with resilience and high tolerance in pain, fatigue and shame. I always believed God is
molding me for some role someday.
Q2. Have you ever had attempts of giving up? And for what factors?
A2. Yes!
For so many instances I felt inferior that I don’t enjoy what others are.
Out of immaturity, I once have thought also that dropping out of school was an easy way out of
pressures.
I lost my sense of belongingness as I cannot go with my classmates in the leisure.
Self-support in school was never easy.
I felt very tired and struggling alone.
Q3. Why did you not give up? What motivated/inspired you?
A3. Poverty has always been my wake up call. I am determined not to live like this for the rest of my life.
I wanted to raise a family one day and I don’t want them to suffer as I did. I have pondered that I have
no struggles unsurpassed eversince, I went through everything and I have grown up versatile and
equipped. I always have the optimism that God lets me suffer adversities to polish me for a purpose.
Q4. What have you done to surmount all the hardships?
A4. I fixed my mindset
Never rely on anybody to lift you up.
While you pray, put on a hard work. God always got your back.
Life has never ending lessons for us. Anticipate discomforts and always be ready to grow.
I started my professional life as among the rank and file. I learned the industry fundamentals and
developed my skills. I connected my work dedication to my life purpose, by making it my way to serve
God and Mankind. While enjoying work, establishing rapport and possessing empowering habits has
been my lifestyle. And for why I somehow became among the company leaders, discipline, constancy to
purpose and the learning attitude is the key.
Q5. Life Lessons.
A5. Live life to the fullest, gather your fortitude, explore, learn and grow. Do not wait for your future,
make it.
