FAKE Ella: I am so excited for school, ma’am said that there would be a
surprise.

FAKE Ethan: I know right, I think miss Diya and mister Cormac are going to
give us treats.

Ethan: Hey!

Ella: You said the wrong line!

FAKE Ethan: No, I did not.

Ethan: Yes, you did.

Ella: The line goes, I know right, at least I hope that will happen.

FAKE Ella: Oh, so you think u can do better?

Ethan: Yes
FAKE Ella: Ok fine show us.

(Fake Ella and Ethan gets of stage)

Ella: Ok thanks

Ethan: yes, that is better. Ok so where were we again?

(Turn off lights)

ACT1

SCENE 1: Introduction

(Light on miss Diya and class. Tables and chairs needed. School background
and student talking and bell SPFx.)

(Children in the class)

Ms. Diya: Settle down class! Now I know you are excited for the weekend
but listen up! I am thrilled to announce that… we are going to be going on a
camping trip on Monday!

Children: yay!!!(All children start talking with each other)

Mr. Cormac: Ensure you bring only your essentials and no Atharv you cannot
take your tab

Atharv: ughhhhh, Fine no tab.

(School bell rings SPFx and students come out)

(Backdrop changes to a road and side path)

Ella: I am so excited for your camping trip! Ethan and I have never gone
camping before

Noora: Nor have I!

Mohammed: It is going to be so much of fun! I am going to bring my Quaran

as well to keep us all safe!!
Ethan: I am going to pack my camera to take some good pictures for my
album too!

Lisa: Shall I take my guitar? The vibes will be perfect!

(Car drives up)

(change backdrop)

Ella: Oh, our parents have come. We better go! Bye!

Lisa, Noora and Mohammed: Bye!!

(Scene ends)

(Lights off)

SCENE 2: Ethan and Ella’s home

(Ella and Ethan reach home)

Ethan: I am going to wear my new sports shoes and take my new camera, a
Z50.

Ella: I am going to take my favourite book and pack it in my new bag!

Ethan: Do you know what food will be there? I hope we get some Alfredo
pasta, yum!

Ella: Ohh that would be like heaven and maple syrup with pancakes for
breakfast.

Ethan: I know right yummmmmmm.

Someone in the backstage (girl): Ella, Ethan come down for food.

Ethan and Ella: Ok mom

(Scene Ends)

(lights off)

SCENE 3: School

(In school. Change to school back drop. Lights on. Bell SPFx.
Ms. Diya: Good morning children! I know u guys are excited because we are
going to the camp today but remember to stick with each other. We must
enjoy but also must be careful.

Mr. Cormac: Now I know Miss Diya and I said that there would be only two
adults, but we do not want to get lost and befriend the bears (chuckles) so
please welcome your tour guide Mister Philip!

(Lights go on mister Philip.)

Tour guide Philip: Hello children, you are looking very disciplined in your
school uniform. I am your guide Mister Philip. Philip-Pino.

Amayra: What is your full name sir?

Tour guide Philip: Philip Pino

Raj: Wait what?

Naina: Isn’t Pilipino a nationality?

Atharv: Oh, now I get it (laugh) His first name is Philip and his last name is
Pino!

Children: Oh! (Laugh)

Tour guide Philip: Just kidding! My name is Philip Jones. Let us make this trip
a great one!

Ms. Diya: Look at the time we are running late, come on let us board the bus.

Mr. Cormac: Okay class u heard miss Diya. Let us make one line.

(Children form a line)

(Scene Ends)

(Lights off)

(Change backdrop)

SCENE 4: The forest

(Lights on, bus drive screech sound, camping area backdrop SPFx)
Tour guide Philip: Welcome to the Willow Woods! Your beautiful, scenic
camping site!

Children: Woah!! (Start talking to each other)

Mr Cormac: Ok, quiet down children. (Children quiet down) Before we start
your fun, there are a few things we need to keep in mind. Firstly, remember
to always stick together. We need to keep safe to ensure it is a fun trip.

Ms. Diya: Secondly, if you are in any form of danger, you must click the SOS
button on these watches that we will handout. We will also be able to track if
you are out of the safe zone.

Tour Guide Philip: Last but not the least, remember to have lots of fun on this
trip and let us make some unique memories together!!

Ms. Diya: Ok children get in pairs of two! (Starts reading out names) Raj &
Lisa, Mohammed & Noora, Ella & Ethan, Atharv & Naina u guys are pairs &
since Amyra is feeling a little down, she can stay in the tent with me.
(Children walking around going to their pairs.)

Tour guide Philip: Try to find as many pieces of wood as you can for your
bonfire.

Tour guide: Also, remember these two trees. These will mark where your
camp are, as their bright colours really shine!

Mr. Cormac: Ok children start going! Be sure to be back here by 5:30 pm in

10 minutes.

(Children start exiting the stage into backstage)

(Cormac sir exits too backstage)

Ms. Diya: Amyra come with me

(Amyra and Ms. Diya exit too backstage.)

(Lights off SPFx)

ACT 2: SCENE 5

(Lights on, background camping woods light far away, SPFx)

(Raj and Lisa holding sticks)

Lisa: Oh look, there is a huge pile of sticks over there!

Raj: Let’s go get them!!

(Raj and Lisa run towards sticks)

(Jade goes to them and puts hands on mouth)

Jade: I am sorry guys, but I have to do this!

(Lights off SPFx)

Scene 6

(Lights on, camping site, bat chirping SPFx)

Mohammed: Raj and Lisa still have not come back yet.

Mr. Cormac: Yes, and I had said only 10 minutes

Noora: It has been like 30 extra minutes

Atharv: Do you think they are in trouble??

Mr Cormac: let us wait and not worry. Maybe they just lost track of time

(Silence)

(Beep sound continuous SPFx)

Ella: What is that?

Ms. Diya: Oh no!

Amayra: Is there something wrong?

Ms. Diya: The radar! It shows that Raj and Lisa have been past the safe zone
for more then 10 minutes!

Children: What!

Atharv: But isn’t the safe zone marked?

Ethan: And surely, they would not go out of the safe zone purposely…. Right?

Ella: Well, we need to find them

Trees: (whisper) Do not worry. They are safe. Keep your mind clear and
follow your heart.

(Silence as though they all heard it in their mind)

we need to find them

Mohammed: I mean, they are your friends

Noora: And we need to help them out

Naina: Even if that means going out in the dark, slimy forest

Mr. Cormac: So…. Let us get started!!

Ella: Ok Sir

(Background change to forest SPFx)

(Kids walk-in in one direction)

Scene 7

(Lights on, rocky green dark area pathway backdrop SPFx)

(Children walking trying to find clues)

Noora: There is nothing here, we have searched and searched, and all we
can find is our footprints. We are just wasting your time!

Mr Cormac: I think let us go back to the camp to check the radar and send
some help. It is a safe choice.

Ella: There might be another clue to help us Mr Cormac! Please let us keep
searching!

Mohammed: But there is nothing here, except a lot of rocks and grass and
glittery footprints?

Children: What!

Ella: Remember Lisa had worn glittery pink shoes that none of us have? Well,
I found 3 pairs of footprints, one with pink glitter on it!

Ethan: Oh, and Raj had worn his navy-blue shoes that had stars on the sole,
and the 2nd pair is just like that!

Amayra: But there is another set of footprints too, this one is barefoot.

Atharv : Only two of our friends went missing, so where did the third pair
come from?

(Silence for a bit child thinking)

Mr. Cormac: Ok children, let us follow these tracks of footprint. Try to find
your friends.

(Children walk in that direction)

(Children checking rocks, stones, in grass)

Mohammed: Wow, this is going to be hard to find!

Ella: Not that hard at all

Naina: Come on think of it. Dark night in a forest with so many rocks and
hardly any flashlights, is not it going to be – wait!

Atharv: Did you find something? thing?

(Naina hold up a bracelet with the name LISA written on it)

Naina: Look! A bracelet with the name Lisa on it!

Ethan: Good find Naina!! Let us keep walking straight ahead, we might find
them!

(LIGHT swSOFT SPFx)

Noora: Look! Light ahead!

(Children running)

Scene 8

(Lights on, mine shaft background small light SPFx)

(Children running toward mineshaft)

Atharv: Look! An abandoned mine shaft!!

Mohammed: And their tracks lead in!!

Ethan: Are we going to go in?

Mr Cormac: Well, if we go in, then we need to ensure we find your way back.

Naina: Oh, I know! We can use white chalk to mark your way the rock!

Ella: Innovative idea Naina!

Atharv: Let us go in!!

(Children walking in)

(Background change

Amayra: It’s quite hard to check where the trail led to due to the soil and
rocks.

Mohamed: Exactly!

Atharv: But we have to try. They are your friends.

(Children talking and walking!)

Ella: Wow, this is an extensive network of tunnels!

Naina: Wait a minute, I think I can hear something!

(Background voices talking from backstage)

(Children gasping and running towards tunnel)

Ethan: Raj! Lisa!

SCENE 9:

(Lights turn on, mineshaft lighted backdrop)

Ella: Who is this? Raj, Lisa. Is she trying to hurt you?

Raj: Nooooo, she is your new friend.

Jade: I am so sorry I took your friends away from you because…. I don’t have
a family or any friends and I am really lonely

Noora: So, let me get this straight this random girl practically kidnapped Raj
and Lisa because she was lonely.

Lisa: Hey! Noora! do not act like that to her. She has nobody. I agree, Raj
and I were scared at first, but Jade is a nice person.

Jade: I am sorry guys. I know it was wrong to take you guys away.

Ella: It is fine. Anyway, what is Your name?

Naina: and what happened? Why do not u have anybody?

Jade: Well…. I’m Jade and I’ve been lonely my whole life. My mom was my
only family and I loved her so much. So when she was taken by the wolves
when I was six years old I was horribly sad and frightened. Since then I have
been taking care of myself without any friends or family with me.

Then one day, I saw Your class through the window and I loved how
everybody was and it was the one thing that made me have a smile in my
face since my mom passed away. Then one day I heard miss Diya and mister
Cormac saying you guys would be going to the forest. I thought how fun it
would be to try to talk to you guys and try to make friends. When I tried
walking up to you guys, I saw all Your nice clothes, shoes, bags or cameras
and I thought I might appear as really ugly or not friendly. Then I heard you
all saying that you would be going to get some wood and splitting up. I
thought I would finally have the chance and maybe speak and possibly
befriend 2 of you guys… I felt like I needed to….. That’s when I saw Lisa and
Raj and I was going towards them, but when I saw their nice shoes and
clothes so felt this feeling of sadness and envy so I……I just took them away
instead. I know it was wrong and I am extremely sorry guys.

Ms. Diya: Oh , I am so sorry Jade.

Jade: It is fine Ms. Diya. I have looked up to you and Mr. Cormac sir a lot. I
love you all!.

Mr. Cormac and Ms. Diya: Thank you Jade

Ella: I’m so sorry for blaming you Jade I really hope we can help you with
something.

Atharv: Yeah, like what is your biggest dream? Maybe we could help you
accomplish it?

Jade: Oh thanks. I have really wanted to come to your school since I saw Your
class from the window about 7 months ago.

Mohammed: Oh gosh! 7 months! Sorry, but do not worry, now we will help
you out!

Noora: Yeah Jade! Wanna be friends?

Jade: thank you guys so much for everything and I never would have ever
thought that someone would want to be friends with me.

Ethan: Why would you think that? Everybody is special Jade. Even you, you
just have to start believing in Your self.

Amayra: Yes Jade! Come on girl!

Jade: Thank you so much!

Lisa: See Jade I told you! Everybody is very kind you don’t have to be scared
to tell anything.

Raj: Yeah! And to your teachers too! Ms. Diya and Mr. Cormac are amazing.
They will help you with all Your problems and will help you always feel
comfortable in your sourrounding.

Ms. Diya and Mr. Cormac: Thank you Raj and yes Jade we are always here for
you

Ethan: Come on Jade, let’s go back to your camp

(Jade walks with Ethan and all go backstage)

(Lights off SPFx)

SCENE 10:

(School bell, auditorium background, lights on SPFx)

(Children walking down the auditorium to the stage SPFx)

Principal: Hello children! It has come to my attention that a class in your

school, has displayed all your core values. Class 6B has showed many values
during their trip like bravery, honesty, trust, empathy, and determination.
But there are two main children, who have expressed the most of these
values, and have also showed many leadership qualities. I would love to
award the social service trophy to Ethan and Ella Edwards.

(Applause SPFx)

(Ella and Ethan go on the imaginary stage)

Principal: I would also like to award the certificate of social services to their
friends, Mohammed Ahmed, Noora Zaara, Naina Bhat, Amyra Singh, Atharv
Goyal, Lisa Huan and Raj Malhotra. (Children go on imaginary stage )

(Applause SPFx)

Principal: Finally, your new student Jade Adams gets a scholarship! (Applause
SPFx)

Ella: I would like to say a few words. I am so glad that Jade has finally joined
your school and has overcome all her challenges and has finally achieved her
biggest dream so a round of applause for her and her bravery.

(SPFx Applause)

Ethan: and now I would like to thank, your amazing script writers, and your
dashing performance crew and your hard-working backstage crew.

Ella: and thank you your directors and producers for helping us pull all the
strings and your art for the amazing poster and music crew.

Ethan: thank you to your amazing crew in the box and to your lovely fashion
designers, make up crew and to your dear Shimona ma’am who helped us
throughout this journey

Ella: and thank you your audience for being engaged and enthusiastic all
throughout the play.

Atharv: Guys! Can we take a bow already! A new version of my favourite

video game is coming out I have to go!

Ms. Diya: (laughs) oh alright Atharv
