INTRODUCTION
STEP 2.0 is a club whose main motives are to create
awareness among students and even people of all
age groups related to the environment and science.
STEP 2.0's full form is 'SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT
PROGRAM'. The motto of this club is very simple but
actually filled with enthusiasm "IN IT TO WIN IT".
Today STEP2.0 is considered to be one of the most
influential club s We have organized more than 1500
events even with foreign guests thee include camps,
clean drives etc.STEP2.0 has never thought of its
prosperity but rather it focuses on the prosperity of
the nation, the people and the
inhabitants of this beautiful world that the Greatest
God has created. It focuses on creating a place where
all organisms can live happily with no threat of
extinction.
The STEP2.0 has been working since the establishment
of the school. So it has been over 44 years since we
have made our roots in the premises. But you also know
that maintaining records of such a long time is very
difficult so we only records of what we have done in the
past 10 years, that too major ones only.
The information below enlists some events that took
place within these years:

1) WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY-2016

Various programs were organized to extend the
message about the vitality of protecting the
environment of each and every individual. The club
launched awareness campaign this day. Charts were
put up ,posters and hoardings were presented and
orations were made regarding the sustainable
development, Millennium Development Goals and
Environmental protection in the school assembly. The
students and teachers also got associated with the
club and worked together to accomplish the mission
"Start from your home, If you want to change the
world".
2)Wall Painting
iIt is said that paintings are one of the best
ways to touch people's heart. The incessant
destruction to Mother Nature caused due
to humans, can only be compensated if
every individual engage in the mission to
save earth. So, in order to convey the
message to every student, every faculty
member, every faculty member, every
visitor and every guest of MIS, the students made an aesthetic and
enlightening painting on the wall at the entrance under the guidance
of Mr.Manoj Shakya and club coordinate Mrs. Neeraj Chauhan.
Students along with the guests and the teachers made their
handprints on the wall to symbolise unity. The painting demonstrates
various symbols and pictures that convey a messsage about the ways
the accelarating devastation of mother earth can be put to an end.
3)Cleanliness-2008
The members of the club took up a mission 'SAVE THE EARTH".
The main objective of this program was to create environmental
awareness in the school and ot enhance the quality of our global
environment for the benefit of all people, and to promote a
better understanding of the effects our society has on the long
term health of our planet.

Steps taken were as follows:

1. We organised a seminar where the students from Class 10

and 12 participated.The main motto was to create awareness
among class 11 students.The topic was-The worst effects of
climate change may not be felt for centuries.

Period(2020-21)
Students of MIS took an initiative for the betterment of our
environment and students"intellectual activites" even during
this year and COVID-19,as a part of Step 2.0 club. A class was
created in Google Classroom where students could interact
openly. Assignments were posted and Virtual Field Trips were
organized. Webinars, Science-quizzes, virtual field trip to
foreign countries and many more activities took place
successfully.

Students were assigned to plant trees and post the video so

that other students could get inspired. Biological weapons are
a big threat. Students were required to post a video on this
issue. A webinar was organized on 26th July, 2020 on "Career
Guidance and Skill Development": by our honourable guest
Dr.Savitesh Madhulika Sharm, IIT Roorkee. There was good
interaction and conversation between students and
Mrs.Madhulika where student cleared their doubts regarding
their career. Science Quizzes were organized for Classes 7,8,9
through G Meet. The winners were awarded with Certificates .

Virtual Educational Trips were organized for classes 8,9 and 10

to the rural areas where students got a lot of information
regarding the lifestyle of people around here. On 3rd Sep 2020
a virtual field trip to the Eiffel Tower, Paris was organized for
Classes 7 and 10. Students got a wonderful any fuss of
travelling. Classes 7 & 8 were taken to recycling eco-village of
Ilam to witness the Vermin Compost Project. Class 7 was also
taken on a virtual tour to a pottery factory in Bhaktapur and 8
to witness biofloc fish farming.
 SEMINAR WITH NASO

On 31st July, 2021 STEP 2.0 organised a Webinar in

Collaboration with 'Nepal Astronomical Society' where we
had a discussion on Outer Space, Universe Formation. Mr.
Suresh Bhattarai, the Chairman of NASO was the program
incharge. Students interacted and cleared there doubts
regarding the stances of Nepal on the Astronomical Front.
We were blessed with 60+ participants in the sessions wih
our respective teachers as supervisors.
STEP 2.0 incourages the idea of outer space discovery and
the knowledge regarding it. We are upon hosting more
events on this burning subject.
 Cleaning Workshop-2018
A total of 65 students of class 7 attended the Cleaning
Workshop which aimed to help them learn the importance of
cleanliness and hygiene.
The interaction was quite interesting as the young kids were well
informed about the need and advantages of sanitation. They
told us stories and shared experiences of implementation of
cleanliness at their homes and school. The young students were
aware that they could influence their parents, classmates and
neighbors to practice cleanliness. We also discussed the
importance of personal hygiene and steps for maintaining it.
The students were appreciative of STEP 2.0 effort and they
ensured us that they will keep their surroundings clean as we all
know "A clean place is a safe place."
 CLEANLINESS-2018
. Keeping your environment, and your surroundings clean is an act
of purity, clarity and precision. Cleanliness is something which
should never be compromised; it is our first and foremost
responsibility. Being a student, along with our studies and other
responsibilities, keeping our campus clean is our main duty.
As the first step initiated by STEP 2.0, the students gathered
around the canteen area to start their first campaign: Clean the
Campus (C3). The students, along with our academic
coordinator, picked up litter around the campus area and
educated the others about the importance of maintaining
cleanliness. What started as a campaign of only twenty students
ended up gathering the attention of many other students who
were willing to listen and work to keep the campus clean.
 Modernite Camp 2020
STEP 2.0 club organized a Virtual Educational Camp, the
‘Modernite Camp 1.0’ for the students of Classes 6-12.
Which was held from 24th September to 4th October. The
Camp was a 10 days long Camp which comprised various
subjects like Self-Improvement, Astronomy, Psychology, and
Business. These sessions were taken by different well skilled
and experienced mentors from different part of the world.
STEP 2.0 encourages students to learn in different way and
techniques. To explore some interesting and knowledgeable
subjects. The Modernite Camp was organized for the same.
The Camp was scheduled for 4PM – 6PM on a regular basis
for 10 days. The Camp was conducted on Zoom Platform,
so that it will be easy for the students. We received a huge
participation of 80+ Students. The opening ceremony
started with a short intro video and a short description of
our Modernite Camp. Every Mentors gave there
introduction and students were very excited and many of
them expressed there views. The students were sent to
there respective breakout rooms for the introductory
session.
 Our Plans for this Year
It is quite noticeable that the club has organized many
interesting and engaging events for the students since the
past decade. So that why is we want to pursue this trend
and try to make the club much better. This year we have
planned for organizing many events that are influential as
at the same hand very interesting too. We have enlisted
only a few events that we consider main for the year some
other events will also be organized but we have kept them
as the club’s daily activities. Please read the upcoming
topics.

1) Talk Show with a WWF officer

A show will be organized with an officer from the
WWF(WorldWide Fund for Nature) where the officer will
be explaining and motivating our students for the
protectiln of wildlife and surrounding in a more enjoyable
form.

2)Seminar on Animal Abuse

A seminar is to be organized highlighting the topic
ANIMAL ABUSE and also a case of recent Animal Abuse
case(Case of Kajalkali) will be discussed. This will help
students to know what exactly is Animal Abuse and why
it should be extinct from the societ. Previously, only
textual matter was given on Animal Abuse and we felt
that this should be highlighted because students should
know what the truth is. So that one day our future
generations don’t even know what ANIMAL ABUSE is.
3) Inter school Quiz and Debate Competition
We have planned to do an Interschool Quiz
Competition among different CBSE Affiliated
schools in the city. The questikns will be based on
science and general knowledge.Till now, it is
planned that we will be dividing the students into 2
groups-Junior(below class 9) and Senior(class 9
and above till class 12). STEP2.0 doesn’t believe in
the development of only students of MIS but also
of all the students because we feel that science is
mend for all and awareness is also very important.

4)Intra School Quiz and Debate Competition

The program is the same as mentioned above but
the obly difference is that this will be done
primarily focusing on the student of MIS.

5)Marathon
The club has also thought of hosting a cross
country marathon spreading the awareness of
science and environmental awareness in the whole
city. This is considered to be one of the main
events of the year.
6)Modernite Camp 2.0
Last but not the least, the club is sure to organize
a worshop as done in 2020. The workdol will
consist of many hosts and professionals on topics
that the students will like. The students will be
given a choice of picking 1 topic out of 6-7 topics
that he/she thinks is the most interesting and
important for he/she. For more details,please go
back to the page where we have mentioned how
the event was organize. A similar picture can be
taken, but this time it is sure that we will much
better.

These were just a few events we have thought

about. Several more may arise, regarding that we
will surely inform you beforehand.
 We need your help
You must have observed in our history that most of the
events were organized within the premises. Since the
beginning, the club has been wanting and waiting to
eagerly spread out it’s wings out of the school also,
because STEP2.0 believes that awareness is crucial to
discourage malpractices happening among us-to the
nature and its beings.
STEP2.0 has never backed out from its problems, that is
why the club has been stable for all these years. Whenever
we come up with something we are fully dedicated to get
the result. Even our motto says, “In it, to Win It!”. Now our
only ambition is to spread awareness on the topics of
science and cleanliness.

This is where you come. It is always said sharing food fills

the stomach well than eating alone. We have got plans,we
have got ambitions, we have got enough crew but the only
thing we don’t have is a financial back. The main game
changer of all this. The only thing that limits us is money.
Everything in this world requires funds but as having the
school as the parent we have no earnings.This has put a
limit to all our strength.
What do you get?
We know, money does not grow on trees. That is why,
you will also be looking at what you get from all this….
You helping us will help you,I.e if you become our
sponsor then in return we are going to advertise you
and your product.You know, school especially MIS,
caters to more than 2500+ students. This means if we
advertise you through our banners, our posters etc you
are likely to be familiarized by 2500+ students.That
means, you have a chance to get 2500+ more
customers. And if we are organizing an events with
multiple schools or on streets then you can get even
more than that.
We will highlight your company, talk about you in as
many events we can and also we shall include your
logo with name on our banners and hoardings. This
serves as a great way for your company to spread its
network. Also, sometimes if possible we will invite you
to our events as a chief guests, where your team can
speak about your company also. This is a win-win
deal for both of us when speaking in an unbiased way.
