Setup Process for Android Devices
Objective:
This document provides step-by-step instructions for enrolling your device in Mobile
Device Management (MDM).
What is MDM?
To securely monitor and manage the mobile devices that access sensitive business
data.
Process:
1. Initial Notification and Profile Creation
● You will receive a formal notification to start the setup process.
● Upon selecting this notification, you will be guided to initiate the Work
Profile Creation process.
● Refer to the prompts displayed on your device to proceed.

Please ensure your device has a charge of at least 70% before starting this process.

2. Accept and Continue
● Tap the "Accept and Continue" option when prompted.
● The device will begin creating your Work Profile.
● Please be patient during this process as it may take a few moments to
complete.

3. App Installation and Account Authentication
Upon completion of the synchronisation process, the system will automatically
install the necessary software and applications required for your daily work
activities.
Please note that all work-related third-party applications (e.g., Slack) must be
configured under the Work Profile to ensure seamless functionality for work-related
tasks. If you encounter a lock symbol while logging into Slack, try logging in via the
Chrome browser first, then attempt to access the Slack application again.
You will then be asked to authenticate your account.
● Enter the password associated with your official Gmail account to verify your
identity.
Once the authentication is successful, your device will display a separate toggle
for your work apps, enabling you to easily switch between personal and
professional environments.
