A Performance Task Plan in Mathematics 10

Polynomial Functions

Timeframe of Execution: Approximately 1 week

Deadline of Performance Task: February 19, 2024

Your task is to present the concept of polynomial functions especially

Goals the different types of functions (Constant, Linear, Quadratic, Cubic,
Quartic, Quintic and others) using realistic object around us.

Roles You are a Mathematics Club member in your school.

Audience The target audience is the student of your school.

As a mathematics club member, you are asked to explore the

concepts of polynomial functions in real life situations and object
around us. You need to create and use one of your existing photos
Situation illustrations showing how it is related to the concepts of polynomial
functions and its important characteristics. The picture must be
appropriate.

You should produce a creative polynomial functions object.

Task:
1. Think of a realistic object. Provide example to each of the type
Product of polynomial functions discussed in Math 10 class.
2. Draw the object in a a rectangular coordinate system creatively.
(Use Desmos, GeoGebra and other math technology tools).
