Curriculum Mapping supports curriculum revision, as the activity often reveals curricular strengths,
gaps, necessary and unnecessary overlaps, and needs. The previous curriculum is not sufficient to
align with programs learning out comes, teaching and assessment. In the latest curriculum of Law
Department, the components (learning outcomes, teaching and assessment tasks) are integrated and
turned to support learning so that students spontaneously use higher-order learning processes for each

Course Profile
Rationale: As business transactions became more complex – particularly as the sales agreements
called for longer term relations than those of typical barter economics – legal mechanisms became
increasingly more important. To encourage business, to undertake more complex transactions, some
form of contract law, private property law, and formal dispute resolution system to enforce those rights
and contracts had to be established. This course is therefore essential to examine the basic rules of the
law of contract, its commercial, social and historical context, and to achieve an understanding of the
issues which may arise in a contractual setting
