Divide the class into two groups.
Provide each group with jumbled letters to form the words HYPERTEXT and INTERTEXT.
After solving, each group will arrange the letters to create definitions based on their understanding.
Guiding Questions for Discussion:
“Why did you choose this as hypertext or intertext?”
“How do these connections help in understanding a text’s context?”
4.3 Analysis Discussion:
Hypertext: A nonlinear way of presenting information through links.
Example: Clicking a link in a Wikipedia article.
Intertext: The relationship between texts where one references or borrows from another.
Example: Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
Question:
“How do hypertext and intertext help us understand texts better?”
Explanation:
- Hypertext and intertext connect different ideas or texts. They help us understand a story by
showing how it relates to other stories or information. Knowing the context, like where, when, and
why a story is told makes it easier to see these connections and understand the meaning better.
4.4 The teacher will divide the students into groups of four members each. Provide each group with a
Abstraction short text containing hyperlinks and intertext references.

more effectively.
