STEPS FOR CREATING A HEAT MAP

STEP 1: Drag and drop any dimension e.g.: Sub-Category to the Rows or Columns Shelf
STEP 2: Drag and drop the 2nd dimension e.g.: Segment to the Columns or Rows Shelf
STEP 3: Drag and drop the 1st measure e.g.: Profit to Color on the Marks card
Ensure that the Color Legend is present in the Top Right corner of View Area
This is a Highlight Table
STEP 4: Drag and drop the 2nd measure e.g.: Sales to Size on the Marks card
to control the size of the marks by the Sales measure
STEP 5: To get a better view select the "Entire View" from the drop-down
STEP 6: To enlarge the marks, click Size on the Marks card to display a size slider
Drag the slider to the right until the marks in the view are the optimal size
STEP 7: To add a border, click Color on the Marks card to display the Effects section
Under Border select the required color
STEP 8: Now the heat map view is complete
