Discipline Coordinator Job Description
TITLE: Discipline Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Principal
Responsibilities:
The discipline coordinator assists students in establishing high standards of conduct. He /She is
in charge of the planning, organizing, developing and monitoring matters relating to student discipline at
school. Administratively, he/she is responsible for implementing the school’s student management
system and to assist students in abiding by Bedayia International School’s code of conduct. Discipline
coordinators are to provide an integrated support service in developing proactive and/or preventive
programs in managing students’ behavior issues at school. A detailed description of the duties and
responsibilities of a discipline coordinator is listed below.
Qualifications:
1. Committed to school culture, mission and vision.
2. Has demonstrated the leadership qualities, personal characteristics, and communication
skills necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
3. Committed to school dress code.
4. Punctual.
5. Initiates actions to promote and support school campaigns.
6. Attends school workshops in area of work
7. Takes risks to implement advanced job techniques.
8. Attend professional meetings and seminars to keep updated with the recent development in the
subject
9. Accepts guidance from administration
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the school administration in developing a school discipline policy
2. Apply the school disciplinary policy and follow up on students’ behavior and develop student
discipline work
3. Initiates campaigns to promote students’ well-being and growth mindset
4. Monitor students’ behavior and encourage those who keep a well-behaved attitude
5. Monitor students’ behavior and encourage those who adhere to classroom manners and a good
attitude towards their peers and teachers
6. Implement and enforce the school discipline policy and school rules

7. Assist teachers in managing students with behavior problems
8. Collaborate with parents of students with behavior problems in helping the students
overcome their difficulties
9. Attend to individual conduct case conferences with relevant functional teams and teachers
10. Offer guidance and reflective sessions with students to help them reflect on their behavior and
support them with goal cards or other tools to manage and control their behavior
11. Develop resource materials and programs relating to student discipline for teachers’ reference
and use
12. Act as an advisor on student discipline matters
13. Provide counseling services to students and staff
14. Inform parents of students’ behavioral issues and offer guidance and cooperate/ follow up on
action plans
15. Inform students and make sure they understand the discipline policy.
