I. Reading Remediation Classes

 Every Friday (3:01-4:00;4:01-5:00) Grade 7 students only

 Conducted by the English Club Officers

 Shared-reading and Group reading activities

II. Every Teacher is a Reading Teacher

 Every teacher mentors four (4) students categorized as frustration in word recognition.

III. Reading Comprehension Exercises

 Facilitated by English Teachers every lunch break, students under the category of
frustration level in comprehension are given selections to read with few comprehension
questions.

IV. Student Team Reading

 A cooperative learning program facilitated by ENGLISH CLUBBERS in which students


work in four member teams to help one another build reading skills. Students had varied
activities such as partner reading, story retelling, and word mastery

In this program, every teacher has a number of clientele to remediate using the school-based compiled
reading drills and exercises. These clienteles are identified as frustration level in word recognition and in
reading comprehension.
