Introduction
Global warming is the increase of average world temperatures as a result of
what is known as the greenhouse effect. Certain gases in the atmosphere act
like glass in greenhouse, allowing sunlight through to heat the earth’s surface
but trapping the greenhouse gases bulld up in the atmosphere the earth gets
hotter. This process is leading to a rapid change in climate, also known as
climate change.

mentioned that extreme steps are needed to
prevent climate disaster.
What is global warming
Global warming is heating up to earth due to the
presence of CO2 and other greenhouse gas
emissions in the air . The greenhouse gases trap
the sun’s heat.
Causes of global warming
Earth’s temperature changes naturally over time. But due to man-made
sources of greenhouse gas emissions, the earth’s temperature is increasing
continously.
Defotrestation results in less availability of trees to absorb CO2 in the
atmosphere resulting in more trapping of the sun’s heat.
The burning of fossil fuels for several needs such as transportation, and
power is incressing the share of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere.
Rising materialism is resulting in more production, which rleases
greenhouse gasses.
Ever-increasing vehicles usage is increasing fossil fuels usage.
Effects of global warming
Temperature extremes and increase in average global
temperature is happening.
Our ice is meltingat a rapid pace
Our sea levels are rising.
There is a threat of ocean acidification.
Much destruction will be felt by the world’s flora and fauna.
There will be irreversible social effects.
