NERVOUS SYSTEM

Brain: Controls body functions, processes information, and regulates emotions, thoughts, and motor
activities.

Cerebellum: Coordinates voluntary movements, balance, and muscle tone.

Spinal Cord: Transmits signals between the brain and body, enabling reflex actions and motor control.

Brachial Plexus: Supplies motor and sensory innervation to the shoulder, arm, and hand.

Musculocutaneous Nerve: Controls flexor muscles of the arm and provides sensation to the forearm.

Radial Nerve: Innervates the extensor muscles of the arm and forearm; provides sensation to the
posterior arm and hand.

Median Nerve: Supplies muscles for forearm flexion and thumb movement; gives sensation to parts of
the hand.

Iliohypogastric Nerve: Innervates abdominal muscles and provides sensation to the lower abdomen and
groin.

Genitofemoral Nerve: Provides sensation to the upper thigh and genital region.

Femoral Nerve: Controls muscles for thigh flexion and knee extension; provides sensation to the anterior
thigh and medial leg.

Ulnar Nerve: Controls hand muscles and provides sensation to the medial hand and fingers.

Digital Nerve: Supplies sensation to the fingers and thumb.

Sciatic Nerve: Supplies motor and sensory innervation to the posterior thigh, leg, and foot.

Intercostal Nerves: Innervate intercostal muscles for breathing and provide sensation to the chest wall.

Subcostal Nerve: Assists with abdominal muscle control and sensation below the ribs.

Lumbar Plexus: Supplies the lower back, abdomen, pelvis, and parts of the legs.

Sacral Plexus: Innervates the pelvis, buttocks, genitals, thighs, legs, and feet.

Saphenous Nerve: Provides sensation to the medial leg and foot.

Common Peroneal Nerve: Supplies muscles for foot dorsiflexion and sensation to the lateral leg and
foot.

Tibial Nerve: Controls muscles for plantar flexion and provides sensation to the sole of the foot.

Deep Peroneal Nerve: Innervates muscles for toe extension and provides sensation to the dorsal foot.
Superficial Peroneal Nerve: Supplies muscles for foot eversion and provides sensation to the lateral leg
and foot.
