1. Introduction (50 sec)

“Tum Mujhe Khoon Do , main tumhe azaadi dunga”

Sarthak: We are sure that by saying this we have made you think that why are we quoting
this evergreen dialogue given by Subhash Chandra Bose today. First a very good morning to
one and all present here. Today on the birth anniversary of our Netaji, we the students of
class IX ‘C’ have got the golden opportunity to conduct today’s special assembly on the
theme “The Vision and Bravery of Subhash Chandra Bose”. Before proceeding, I would like
to call Anmol for the morning prayer.
**PRAYER**

I request everyone to join your hands, close your eyes and repeat after me. Our father in
heaven, holy be your name, your kingdom comes, your will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven. Give us today, our daily bread, forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin
against us, do not bring us, to the test, but deliver us from all evil. Amen

**PRAYER SONG**

Sarthak: I now request the choir to sing the song for today “Kadam-Kadam badhaye ja”
which was sung by the soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj just before the quick march.

2.Speech (1 min)

Harsh:

Good morning everyone,

Today, I want to talk about a true patriot and visionary—Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Born
on January 23, 1897, in Odisha, he gave up a prestigious career in the Indian Civil Service
to fight for India’s freedom.

Netaji believed that independence couldn’t be begged for—it had to be fought for. His
powerful slogan, "Give me blood, and I will give you freedom," inspired thousands to join the
freedom struggle. As the leader of the Indian National Army, he united people from all
backgrounds to fight for a free and united India.

Netaji’s life teaches us courage, unity, and self-reliance. Let us honor his legacy by striving
to build a better India.

Thank you.

Proceeding with our assembly, I would like to call Daniyal for “Thought of The Day”.

3. Inspirational Quote (1 min)

Daniyal: A very warm and delightful morning to everyone once again. Today’s thought of the
day as per the theme is…..
"One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a
thousand lives! It is our duty to pay for our liberty with our own blood. The freedom that we
shall win through our sacrifice and extortions, we shall be able to preserve with our own
strength"

I repeat "One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself
in a thousand lives! It is our duty to pay for our liberty with our own blood. The freedom that
we shall win through our sacrifice and extortions, we shall be able to preserve with our own
strength "
-Thank You

Sarthak: Nothing other than a play is better to showcase once idea or a theme. With this, I
would like to invite our participants of the play “The Call Of Azad Hind” to adorn, enact and
inspire.

4. Act or Play: "The Call of Azad Hind" (10 minutes)

Characters:

Child Bose (Ayush Sinha)

Other children (Sumit, Aryaman)
Subhas Chandra Bose (Aunik)
British Officer (Abhideep)
Indian National Army (Prerna, Sneha, Priya, Yashika, Piyush, Kumar Aditya Raj, Shakya,
Sachin )
Narrator (Pihu)

Script Outline:

1. Scene 1: Subhas Chandra Bose as a student, discussing with his friends about his vision
for an independent India.

Ayush: Friends , don’t you feel that the British Imperialism is increasing day by day on us;
the indigenous people of the country.

Vaibhav: But what can we do about it , we are just children. We can just pray to god.

Ayush: If praying to god could work, we would never be in such adverse situation that
children like us have to discuss on these matters. They will never free us if we continue to
wait for them. We have to snatch freedom from their hands. They continue to divide us on
different basis and rule. They always discriminate on various grounds. They treat us as sub-
humans. If they will not give us freedom, we shall snatch it.

---

2. Scene 2: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose resigns from the Indian Civil Service to join the
freedom movement.

**Aunik is walking upto stairs**

Narrator: Subhash Chandra Bose Cleared the Indian Civil Services Exam in 1920 and
secured a very prestigious post but soon resigned from it in April, 1921.
Aunik: Here is my resignation letter from this post. I am done with it.

Abhideep: But why are you resigning from it, do you even know how esteemed this post is ?

Aunik: I know but if I keep working for cowards like you and other British, what face will I
show to my motherland. I can no longer work for a government that explits my own people.
The British Raj’s policies are suffocating India’s growth and potential. In the name of
civilization and progress, you have brought exploitation, poverty and famine. The British Raj
has drained India’s resources and stifled our culture.

Abhideep: Okay, you Indians will never progress and continue these foolish practices. Silly
rats.

---

3. Scene 3: After his resignation, Bose immediately joined the Indian national movement but
his way of seeking independence clashed with that of Mahatma Gandhi; Afterall he was a
radical. So he often side-lined himself from the movement. In 1942 he went to Germany to
meet Adolf Hitler to explore all possible means to achieve India’s goal of Independence.
Soon after it he formed the Azad Hind Fauj in 1943 . In January 1941, he secretly left his
Calcutta home, went to Singapore, via Germany, and raised the the Indian National Army
(INA). To free India from British control, in 1944, the INA tried to enter India through Imphal
and Kohima but the campaign failed. Nevertheless, let us remember them.

Aunik: "My dear soldiers,

We stand today to reclaim our nation's freedom. We fight against British tyranny, for our
people's dignity, and our children's future.
The road ahead is tough, but we must not falter. We fight for India, for our people, and for
freedom.
Chalo Dilli! Let us march to Delhi! Raise the flag of Indian independence!

Jai Hind!"

***Parade by the Army***

(Prerna steps out and says:) "Sisters and brothers of the INA,

We are the sparks that will ignite India's freedom. We fight not just for our nation not just foor
our own freedom but for Netaji who gave us an opportunity to pay back the dept to our
motherland.

Let us march together, with courage and revolution in our hearts. Let us show the British we
will no longer be silenced.

Jai Hind! Chalo Dilli!"

***Parade by the Army*** ( to take a side on the backstage)

---

4. Scene 4: Let us hear from Subhash Chandra Bose, where he shares his vision of a free
and united India.

Aunik: "My dear fellow Indians,

Today, we stand at the crossroads of history, choosing between the path of servitude and
the road to freedom. As we fight for our nation's independence, let us also envision the India
we want to build.
An India that's economically and industrially self-reliant, where women are equal partners,
and all communities unite in harmony.

The Rani of Jhansi Regiment inspires us with their courage. Our Indian National Army shows
us that unity is possible.

Let's march together towards this vision, with courage and patriotism guiding us. Jai Hind!"

Harsh: Phenomenal, remarkable a stellar performance. I could not find any better words in
my dictionary. Staying updated with the world is an essential part of life. For the same, I
would like to call Vaibhav for the news headlines.

Vaibhav: News…………………..

Sarthak: No event is complete without hearing from the captain of the ship. I would like to
invite our leader of the IX ‘C’ family Amit sir to share his words of wisdom.

Amit sir: ----

Harsh: Now I would like to request our honourable principal ma’am to share her morning
reflections.

Harsh: Thank you ma’am…..let us now pay homage to our beloved motherland by singing
the national anthem. I would like to request everyone to stand in attention position for the
rendition of national anthem.
