"The Secret of the Hidden Cavern"
Maya and her best friend Ben loved exploring the forest near their village. One day, while
searching for interesting rocks, they stumbled upon an old map hidden inside a hollow tree trunk.
The map showed the way to a hidden cavern marked with an "X."
Excited, they followed the map's directions, climbing over fallen logs and wading through a
shallow stream. As the sun started to set, they found the entrance to the cavern. It was dark and
cold inside, and strange echoes made them hesitate. But Maya, holding Ben’s hand, said, "We’ve
come this far. We can’t turn back now!"
Inside, they discovered glittering crystals covering the walls. In the center of the cavern stood an
old chest. Opening it, they found a pile of gold coins and a small diary. The diary belonged to an
explorer from long ago, who had hidden the treasure to keep it safe.
Suddenly, they heard footsteps outside the cavern. Who else could be in the forest? They quickly
closed the chest and hid behind some rocks. Maya whispered, “We need to wait until it’s safe.”
Would they be able to keep the treasure hidden, or would someone else find it?
