Q-Point finding in a Fixed-Bias

Configuration
Presenter Presented To:

Introduction
❖ What is Fixed-bias?
Fixed bias in FETs involves applying a constant voltage to the gate through a
resistor, setting the gate-source voltage (V_GS) to a fixed value. This method
provides a simple and straightforward biasing scheme.

❖ What is Q-Point?
The quiescent point (Q point) of a Field-Effect Transistor (FET) is the
operating point at which the transistor is biased with no input signal applied,
resulting in steady-state values of the drain current (ID) and drain-source
voltage (VDS)
