About Me:

I am Yash Agrawal, a 22-year-old Nepali student with a spirited discipline and a passion for
finance and research driven by high motivation and a focus on getting better every day. Starting
my journey in Nepal, I developed a deep appreciation for resourcefulness and continuous
learning, which resulted in my solid academic background in finance and research, along with a
strong ambition to succeed in the business world. Intricacies of Finance and Economics have
fascinated me since a very young age, and I have always seen myself build a career on it. Besides
this, I have been involved in various other fields, from operations and project management to
branding and event leadership. Each of these experiences has been a brick in the foundation of
my professional identity, and together, they represent a well-rounded skill set eager to contribute
to the ever-evolving business landscape. As I prepare to pursue an MBA, I am convinced that the
Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM Pune) is the perfect platform to guide me
toward a rewarding and impactful career, leading me to contribute to improving the economy and
humanity.

● Perpetual Learner:

I trust the idea of “Perpetual Beta,” and I am always searching for opportunities to
expand my knowledge and enhance myself. This dedication is evident in my impressive
academic performance at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). I
consistently surpassed expectations with a CGPA of 3.92 and am featured on the Dean's
List. My thirst for knowledge extends beyond the classroom, as seen in my various
research projects, which sharpened my analytical and research abilities. Additionally,
participating in every event at my college allowed me to gain more management
experience and learning opportunities.

● Strategic and Collaborative Leader:

My leadership journey, from being on the organizing committee to coordinating various

events at KUSOM, has equipped me with the expertise to form robust teams, distribute
duties efficiently, and navigate varying opinions. I also led a team project to empower a
rural school, which showcased my collaborative nature and fostered a spirit of collective
responsibility that led to impactful social change.

● Adaptation and Proactivity:

My broad range of work experiences, from Procurement Officer at Sara Group Nepal to
Head of Finance and Communications at Brainservicing Incorporated Pvt. Ltd., have
instilled in me the ability to adjust to new environments, swiftly acquire new
competencies, and take the initiative. My position at Brainservicing involved overseeing
 financial matters and directing communication and branding efforts, demonstrating my
versatility and aptitude for handling diverse responsibilities.

● Communication and Storytelling:

Efficient communication is essential for prosperity in any domain. During my tenure, I

constantly honed these abilities through public speaking engagements like the
Inter-College Stock Pitching Competition, where my team clinched third place. I firmly
believe in storytelling's impact on engaging audiences and motivating action.

● Pursuit of Guidance:

My eagerness to learn can sometimes lead to over-ambitiousness. However, I

acknowledge this as an area for improvement and actively seek guidance from
experienced professionals. At SIBM Pune, I aim to utilize the knowledge of faculty and
industry experts to refine my methods and attain a balanced viewpoint.

Most Significant Achievement:

From the beginning of my career, I have bagged many academic milestones, such as getting good
grades and recognition on the dean’s list, winning inter-college and national competitions,
acclaimed academic papers, and more. While all my experiences have contributed equally to my
development, I believe leading the team project to empower a rural school is my most significant
achievement. This project demanded that I go for multifaceted approaches that leveraged my
leadership, communication, financial planning, and resource management skills. Witnessing the
drastic and positive changes in the school community, like improved learning facilities,
environment, and empowered students, gave me a profound sense of accomplishment and
understanding of the power of business for driving it to positive social change. However, I
believe learning is a lifetime journey rather than a one-time achievement, and I think continuing
to learn will help me deliver more positive social changes.

Goals and Objectives at Symbiosis International University (SIU):

My main goal at SIU is to excel in the business world, and I aspire to pursue my MBA from
Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM Pune) to achieve this. The renowned faculty
and industry-oriented curriculum at SIBM Pune will provide me with the necessary theoretical
knowledge and practical skills to succeed in the competitive business world. Furthermore, the
vast alumni network and industry partnerships nurtured by SIBM Pune will offer valuable
exposure and potential internship prospects.

Apart from academics, I plan to engage in many activities like case competitions, joining
business clubs, and securing a leadership position within the student community to upscale my
leadership experience. My ultimate goal is to utilize the knowledge and expertise acquired from
here to pursue a career in the business world and to contribute to the growth of sustainable and
impactful businesses, promoting financial accountability and economic prosperity.
