Once there was a lazy and foolish man. He was too lazy to work as a farmer and went around the village doing
odd jobs for people. He was happy to make just enough money to live from day to day.

One day, the lazy man was walking through a coconut plantation when the owner stopped him.

“Good afternoon, my friend," said the owner. "Do you want to make some money by climbing the coconut
trees and cutting down some coconuts for me?" The lazy man was very good at climbing trees. "How much will
you give me?" he asked.

I’ll give you two coconuts from each tree you climb the owner said, "and there are twenty-five trees.

The lazy man agreed. He started to climb one of the trees. When he reached the top, he said to himself:

There are twenty-five trees, which means I'll get fifty coconuts. If I sell them. I'll get enough money to buy
twice as many cheap coconuts. Then I'll take out the oil from them, sell it and make a lot of money. With the
money, I'll buy many chickens. When they grow up, they will lay many eggs and the eggs will hatch more
chickens. Those chickens will grow and lay more eggs and hatch more chickens. I will have many, many
chickens!"

Then I'll sell the chickens and make a lot of money. With the money, I'll buy a ship and some expensive
presents. Then Ill sail to another country where I will meet a beautiful princess and I'll ask her to marry me..."

As he was talking to himself, the lazy man moved from side to side. He was so happy and excited that he forgot
he was on a coconut tree. He let go of the trunk and fell to the ground.
